"Is there really no way out?" Li Yu exclaimed, throwing the pillow in frustration.
I replied coldly, "What's the rush? Since she wants to steal, let her steal to her heart's content."
"Do you have a plan?" Li Yu and Liu Yu looked at me with bright eyes.
I nodded.
"What is it?" They asked eagerly.
I said calmly, "Since she loves to steal so much, let's give her the opportunity. When she comes back, we'll catch her red-handed."

"Zhou Xin, I'm following your lead," Liu Yu also expressed his agreement.
I smiled slightly.
We pretended to act normally as we left the rental apartment, chatting casually with classmates from the neighboring unit.
"Why haven't you moved out yet?" someone asked.
"Moved out?" Li Yu deliberately raised his voice in response.
"Aren't you renting because of..." a classmate from next door mentioned Zhang Xin's situation.
Li Yu exaggeratedly said, "Oh! We haven't been living in the rental lately. If it weren't for the property management saying they would rent it to someone else if we didn't stay, we wouldn't be here these days."
Liu Yu chimed in, "Yeah, we're waiting for Zhang Xin's matter to settle before we dare return to the rental!"
The classmate from next door kindly reminded us, "You should still be careful; I've heard that Zhang Xin isn't mentally stable."
Seeing how other tenants avoided her when discussing her, the three of us exchanged knowing smiles.
This was the effect we wanted; Zhang Xin's reputation was ruined. Now that she was in the rental, she was like a rat in the street—everyone wanted to chase her away.
After leaving the rental apartment, I briefed Li Yu and Liu Yu on a few details before departing.
I spent a little money to have someone check on Zhang Xin's whereabouts over the past few days, and sure enough, she had been absent from school. It seemed she had gone home to deal with the things she had stolen.
The family was short on money, so she had to find a way to turn these items into cash. I gave a cold smile.

I had someone follow Zhang Xin and discovered where she was selling the stolen goods. Li Yu's clothes and shoes were listed on a certain website, while Liu Yu's clothes and shoes were sent to a second-hand store, where she even left her contact information.
I had someone reach out to a friend who contacted the seller. As soon as the seller heard there was profit to be made, they immediately informed the store owner. The store owner told my friend that the items Zhang Xin brought were all good quality, but if they wanted to buy them, they would need to pay an extra rush fee.
Zhang Xin needed money, so when she heard she could sell for more, she was naturally eager. The store owner confirmed with my friend that delivery would be tomorrow, and Zhang Xin readily agreed. To increase credibility, the store owner specifically told Zhang Xin that the buyer was going abroad and needed the items quickly. Zhang Xin agreed without hesitation.
I asked Li Yu and Liu Yu, "Are you all ready?"
"We're ready," they exchanged glances before looking at me.
"Good," I smiled slightly, "let's get started!"
Zhang Xin returned from the hospital, and the three of us set off in our respective directions.
Li Yu went to the counselor's office and burst into tears as soon as she entered. "Counselor, you have to stand up for us!" Li Yu cried out.
"What happened?" the counselor asked.
Li Yu sobbed, "Counselor, someone stole from our rental house! We contacted the property manager, but not only did they refuse to help, they even protected the thief!"
The counselor frowned upon hearing this.
At the same time, Liu Yu went to another rental house.
