Mou Xiaoning and the others nodded in unison and replied, "Understood!"
I said lightly, "Good, go on with your tasks."
They acknowledged me and dispersed.
Thus, I became the owner of Ruyi Inn while Yuan Bufei was the Shopkeeper of Azure Wind Tavern. We were responsible for different places; on one hand, we could monitor the movements of those bandits, and on the other hand, we could exchange information promptly.
That evening, Mou Xiaoning walked in and looked at me quietly saying, "Lord Ye, those bandits have arrived."
I replied calmly, "Oh? Where are they staying?"
Mou Xiaoning answered, "They are staying at our inn."
I slightly nodded and asked, "How many of them are there in total?"
Mou Xiaoning replied, "There are a total of seventeen people, one of whom is a subordinate of Golden Tiger named Scarface, who is the leader of this group."
I said lightly, "What are they doing now?"
Mou Xiaoning answered, "They just finished eating and have returned to their rooms."
I thought for a moment and said, "Alright, I understand. You can go now."
Mou Xiaoning nodded and turned to leave.
I stood up and walked to the window, looking out at the night sky, and said softly, "They've finally arrived."
Scarface and his men were staying in the inn's furthest room, which was a separate courtyard with a total of seven rooms.
Scarface occupied the main room, which contained a bed, a table, and a chair. The bed was covered with a thick brocade quilt, and the table had a pot of wine and several small dishes.
Scarface sat on the edge of the bed, looking at his subordinates in front of him, and said in a deep voice, "Listen up! This matter is crucial. Stay alert! Anyone who dares to mess things up will face severe consequences! Especially you lecherous ones—if anyone causes trouble at this critical moment, I won't spare them!"
Hearing Scarface's words, the subordinates all nodded in agreement and replied in unison, "Yes, Boss!"
Scarface nodded and said, "Alright, there's nothing more. You can all go back now."
The subordinates acknowledged him and turned to leave.
As the second-in-command reached the door, he suddenly turned around and looked at Scarface with a grin, saying, "Boss, I have a stomachache; I need to go to the restroom."
Scarface shot him a glare and replied, "Lazy donkey!"
Lao Er chuckled and turned to leave.
He exited the courtyard and walked straight into the main hall, where he found a stool to sit on. He tapped the table and called out, "Waiter!"
A staff member hurried over, looked at Lao Er, and smiled, "Sir, what can I do for you?"
Lao Er looked at him and asked, "Do you have any women here?"
The staff member was taken aback for a moment and whispered, "What kind of women are you referring to?"
Lao Er chuckled again and replied, "What do you think?"
The staff member suddenly understood and laughed, "You mean prostitutes? Yes, of course! We have a few staying at this inn. Which one would you like?"
Lao Er thought for a moment and said, "Bring them all over so I can choose."
The staff member grinned, "Sure thing! Please wait a moment." With that, he turned and left.
After a while, the staff member returned with three prostitutes. Looking at Lao Er, he said with a smile, "Sir, how do you find these three?"
Lao Er glanced up and saw that all three prostitutes were quite attractive. They posed and flaunted their charms, which made him very happy. He laughed and said, "Not bad at all! I'll take all three!"
