I looked at him and continued, "Since you said that the quota for direct admission is not solely based on grades, that means grades are not the deciding factor. If that's the case, then how many points I score is my own business; even if I submit a blank paper, it's still my own business."
I looked at him and asked, "Am I right?"
The Principal looked at me but did not speak.
"If you don't say anything, I'll take it as your agreement."
"Do you have anything else to say?"
The Principal remained silent.
"In that case, I'm leaving."
With that, I stood up and started to walk away.
The Principal could not understand my behavior; he felt that I was deliberately embarrassing the school.
He thought my attitude was terrible and decided to expel me, reporting my punishment so that I would be unable to take the college entrance examination.
I went to find the Principal.
I sat on the sofa and looked at him, saying, "Are you really going to expel me?"
The Principal looked at me and replied, "What do you think?"
I shook my head and said, "I don't know."
"Then just try it."
"You need to think this through."
"I don't need your reminder."
"Just make sure you've thought it over."
"I make the decisions here."
"Are you really going to expel me?"
"Yes."
"Don't you regret it?"
"I will never regret it."
"Alright then."
I walked out of the office building, stood on the steps, and looked up at the sky.
The sky was a deep blue, with not a cloud in sight.
I let out a long sigh and walked toward the school gate.
Just as I stepped out, a black Audi stopped in front of me. The window rolled down, revealing my brother's face.
"Hey," he said.
He looked at me and asked, "What's wrong?"
I shook my head and replied, "It's nothing."
With that, I got into the car.
My sister-in-law was sitting in the passenger seat; she turned to look at me and asked, "What's wrong?"
I shook my head again and said, "It's nothing."
She looked at me closely and asked, "Really nothing?"
I nodded and insisted, "Really nothing."
She said, "Then why are you crying?"
I raised my hand to wipe my tears and replied, "I'm not crying."
"Then why are your eyes red?"
"What's going on?"
"I just feel very wronged."
"Why do you feel wronged?"
"I feel useless."
"Why do you say that?"
"I didn't do anything but still got bullied like that."
"Do you know you were bullied?"
"Of course I know."
"Then why didn't you resist?"
"How could I resist?"
"You could tell the teacher."
"Do you think the teacher would believe me?"
"You won't know unless you try."
"I don't want to try."
"Why not?"
"Because I know the teacher won't believe me."
"Because children are innocent."
After my brother understood the whole situation, he said, "The Principal maliciously reported you for cheating. Leave this matter to me; I will handle it. You just focus on preparing for the college entrance exam."
I looked at my brother and asked, "How are you going to handle it?"
My brother looked at me and said, "That's my business; you don't need to worry about it. Just concentrate on preparing for the exam."
"Can you handle it well?"
My brother nodded and said, "I can handle it well."
"Are you sure?"
"I'm sure."
"Okay."
"Now, you can focus on preparing for the exam."
I nodded and said, "Okay."
My brother looked at me and said, "Then we'll leave first."
"Okay."
A month later, I represented Five Middle School in the college entrance exam.
When the exam results came out, I scored 711 points.
This news shocked everyone.
Including the Principal of First High School.
When he heard this news, he stood there in shock, his eyes wide open, lips trembling, with red-rimmed eyes filled with anger and jealousy.
He never expected that I would be the Top Scorer of the College Entrance Examination.
