"Bang!!!"
Two beams of light collided, and energy exploded outward with a loud bang, sending shockwaves that spread like a Category 10 hurricane across the forest, causing everyone to struggle to maintain their footing.
Next, two powerful beasts were seen engaging in hand-to-hand combat in the most primal way.
Chaotic had long, strong limbs that set him apart from typical quadrupedal beasts; his limbs were more flexible than those of the beast clan that could only bend at the joints. His arms, which usually appeared incredibly rigid, twisted like serpents as he suddenly redirected his claws—originally aimed at Bai Tu—toward Bai Tu's softest spot: his abdomen. Dark light flickered on the claws, and if they struck true, Bai Tu would surely suffer a gruesome fate!
Seeing the pitch-black claw suddenly vanish before him, Bai Tu, who had been gathering energy and preparing for an attack, was taken aback. However, centuries of battle experience from the Law Enforcement Hall had endowed him with an absolute calmness in combat.
Feeling a chill at his abdomen, Bai Tu immediately executed a roll to the side, narrowly avoiding Chaotic's claw. Even so, the dark energy grazed one of Bai Tu's arms, staining a small portion of his forelimb black. To his horror, the darkness quickly spread!
Clenching his teeth, Bai Tu decisively lifted his other forepaw and stabbed it into the area where the blackness was spreading. Curving his claws like a knife, he tore out a chunk of flesh that disintegrated into countless glowing particles in midair.
He quickly sealed his veins to stop the bleeding. Inside, Bai Tu felt a surge of panic—what on earth was this strange power? Although he possessed the ability to turn objects to ash due to the Bai Ze Clan's natural affinity for time and space, that was merely because he had fortuitously gained some opportunities in that regard. Turning things to ash essentially meant accelerating their time flow locally! Moreover, there were many limitations!
But this pitch-black beast... why could it use that strange disintegration energy without hesitation? What was its origin?!
Jealousy quietly began to grow within him.
"Hey hey, cutting off your own wrist? Sissy, I want to see how many wrists you have left to cut!"
Chaotic pressed forward relentlessly, continuing to strike down toward Bai Tu with his dark claws!
As for where he truly intended to strike? Sorry, he hadn't thought that far ahead!
Another attack?!
Seeing the dark beast's malicious strike aimed at him again, Bai Tu, who had already learned about its agility at the cost of blood earlier, would not respond straightforwardly this time.
With a flash of fierce light in his eyes, he extended his claws; black and white halos swirled around them as he prepared to exchange injuries with Chaotic!
"Tsk tsk, you want to trade blood with me? Not so easy!"
This Bai Tu had some guts; since he couldn't defend against it, he might as well not try! Although wary of this dark beast's bizarre abilities, he had great confidence in his own time-space energy! There were very few beings in this world who could face his full-force strike and remain unfazed!
Chaotic noticed his intentions as well; his gaze steadied slightly. While he seemed to have the upper hand verbally, the battle situation was ever-changing. Bai Tu deliberately slowed down before launching an attack to force Chaotic into a collision with him!
