I deliberately arrived a bit late. When I walked into the café, Sumei was already sitting by the window with a cup of coffee in front of her, anxiously glancing at the door. 0
"Sumei, have you been waiting long?" I pretended to be nonchalant as I sat down across from her. 0
"No, I just got here," Sumei forced a smile, but there was a hint of panic in her eyes. 0
I picked up the menu on the table and casually flipped through it, asking indifferently, "What made you suddenly want to meet? Is there something going on?" 0
Sumei took a deep breath, set down her coffee cup, and stared at me intently, her tone carrying a hint of threat: "Have you been investigating me lately?" 0
I scoffed inwardly but feigned surprise on the surface: "Investigate you? Why would I do that?" 0
"Stop pretending!" Sumei slammed her hand on the table, gritting her teeth as she said, "Don't think I don't know about the things you've been doing lately!" 0
I set down the menu, leaned slightly forward, and looked directly into Sumei's eyes, my tone calm but with an underlying chill: "What have I done? Why don't you tell me?" 0
Sumei felt a bit flustered under my piercing gaze but still tried to maintain her composure: "Don't think I don't know; you're scheming behind my back, spreading rumors about Ankang Clinic and deliberately stirring up trouble between me and your sister-in-law. What are you trying to do?!" 0
I chuckled lightly, leaning back in my chair with a tone of mockery: "Sumei, you can eat whatever you want, but don’t say whatever comes to mind. When did I spread rumors or stir up trouble?" 0
Seeing that I refused to admit anything, Sumei became even more agitated but dared not be too explicit. She lowered her voice and threatened, "I warn you, you'd better not get involved in this matter again; otherwise, don’t blame me for being rude!" 0
Watching Sumei's fierce yet cowardly demeanor confirmed my suspicions; she was indeed feeling guilty. 0
"Sumei, you don’t need to threaten me; I know what you want," I said calmly. "I can help you, but you have to agree to one condition." 0
Upon hearing this, a glimmer of hope flashed in Sumei's eyes as she eagerly asked, "What condition?" 0
I pulled out a USB drive from my pocket and placed it on the table, gently pushing it toward Sumei while speaking coldly: "This contains what you want. As long as you promise to leave me and my family alone, I can pretend nothing happened." 0
Sumei picked up the USB drive with a glint of greed in her eyes, but she didn’t immediately agree to my terms. Instead, she tentatively asked, "How much do you want?" 0
I smiled coldly, stood up, and looked down at Sumei with disdain in my voice: "Do you think I care about money anymore?" 0
With that said, I left the café without looking back. 0
As I walked away, Sumei's eyes flashed with resentment. 0

==================== 0

Sumei tightly gripped the USB drive, her knuckles turning white from the force. She was eager to discover what secrets it held; this was crucial for her to fully control Ankang Clinic. 0

She looked around; the café was bustling with people, but at that moment, she had no time to care about the gazes of others. 0

"Tick-tock, tick-tock..." Time passed second by second, and Sumei's heartbeat quickened. She took a deep breath, forcing herself to calm down, then plugged the USB drive into her laptop. 0

The computer screen lit up, and Sumei trembled as she clicked on the USB drive, only to find a folder and a photo inside. 0

Impatiently, she opened the photo, but the scene within made her feel as if she had fallen into an ice pit. 0

In the photo, a black sedan had collided with a white van; the front of the car was severely deformed, and the ground was littered with shards of glass and blood. The license plate of the offending vehicle was unmistakably that of her car from years ago. 0

Sumei's face turned pale instantly, and her body began to tremble uncontrollably. This photo unearthed nightmares long buried and made her realize that she seemed to have fallen into a meticulously crafted trap. 0

"How could this happen? How could this photo..." she murmured to herself, her eyes filled with terror and panic. 0

"What's wrong? Does it look familiar?" 0

A cold voice suddenly rang out behind her, causing Sumei to shudder in fright and turn around abruptly. 0

I stood behind her, wearing a mocking smile, my gaze as icy as eternal frost. 0

"You... how could you be here?" Sumei looked at me in panic, her voice trembling with fear. 0

"Why can't I be here?" I retorted, stepping closer to Sumei. "Or are you scared?" 0

"What... what do you want?" Sumei's voice quivered as she instinctively stepped back but stumbled over a table leg and awkwardly fell back into her chair. 0

"What do I want?" I scoffed, bending down to meet Sumei's eyes directly, speaking each word clearly: "I want you—blood for blood!" 0

Sumei's pupils dilated suddenly, her face drained of color. Her lips trembled as she tried to argue but couldn't utter a word. 0

"What's wrong? Are you scared now?" I sneered, standing upright. "Back then, you went so far as to create an accident to frame my brother just to get him. You drove him to madness and ruined his life. Did you think I would let this go?" 0

"No... it wasn't me, I didn't..." Sumei shook her head in terror, trying to deny it, but her eyes flickered uncertainly. 0

"At this point, do you still want to argue?" I pulled out a voice recorder from my pocket and placed it on the table before pressing play. 0

Sumei's voice came from the recorder; it was evidence of her colluding with others to orchestrate the accident years ago. 0

"Well? Do you want me to continue?" I asked coldly. 0
