The room was terrifyingly quiet, with only Lin Wei's suppressed sobs echoing in the air.

Zhou Ziran abruptly turned his head, glaring sharply at Lin Wei. "Enough! I've already told you, I don't want to hear anything from you right now!"
Lin Wei was startled by Zhou Ziran's gaze and took a step back, dropping the tissue in her hand. She weakly closed her eyes as tears streamed down her face once more.
Seeing this, Zhou Ziqi quickly stepped forward to support Lin Wei and gently said, "Lin Wei, you should go back. My brother needs to rest."
Lin Wei shook her head and choked out, "No, I will wait until Ziran forgives me before I leave."
"You..." Zhou Ziqi wanted to persuade her further but was stopped by Gu Yu.
"Ziqi, let her stay here," Gu Yu's voice was soft yet carried an undeniable firmness.
Zhou Ziqi glanced at Gu Yu and then at Lin Wei before finally sighing and saying nothing more.
Lin Wei looked gratefully at Gu Yu, then walked over to a chair in the corner of the hospital room and sat down. She lowered her head, tightly clasped her hands together, and her body trembled slightly as she cried silently.
Gu Yu approached Zhou Ziran's bedside and gently held his hand. "Ziran, the doctor will be here soon. Don't worry, everything will be fine."
Zhou Ziran did not speak; he simply gazed at Gu Yu, his eyes filled with complex emotions—pain, guilt, and deep fear.
Zhou Ziran closed his eyes, took a deep breath, and when he opened them again, his expression had returned to calm. "Yu'er, you don't need to worry about me. I'm fine."
He looked at Zhou Ziqi and then at Gu Yu before finally speaking slowly. "Do you remember I told you before that someone was deliberately spreading rumors behind my back to ruin me?"
Gu Yu and Zhou Ziqi exchanged glances and nodded.
"I know who did it." Zhou Ziran's voice was soft but struck like a stone thrown into a calm lake, creating ripples of shock.
"Who is it?" Gu Yu and Zhou Ziqi asked in unison, their tones filled with surprise and anger.
Zhou Ziran did not answer directly but turned to look at Lin Wei sitting in the corner, a meaningful smile playing on his lips. "Lin Wei, what do you think?"
Lin Wei suddenly raised her head, her face turning pale in an instant. The tissue in her hand fell to the ground with a soft sound, yet it echoed like thunder in the silent hospital room.
Lin Wei's lips moved as if she wanted to say something, but she found her throat dry and could not produce any sound. She looked at Zhou Ziran in terror, her gaze evasive, unable to meet his eyes.
"What's wrong? Are you too scared to speak? Or do you simply lack the courage to admit what you've done?" Zhou Ziran's voice was cold and piercing, like a sharp blade stabbing directly into Lin Wei's heart.
