Outside the door stood a person. He was drenched, his blue shirt clinging to his chest, with abdominal muscles faintly visible, and water droplets sliding down his neck into the areas covered by his clothing.
"Feng Yu?" I was taken aback.
"What are you doing here?"
"What am I doing here?" Feng Yu looked at me, his eyes filled with anger.
"What do you think?"
"You turned me away, and now I can't come looking for you?"
" Cai Moyu, what do you take me for?"
As he spoke, he advanced step by step towards me.
"No, your father asked me to do this." I shook my head.
"Your sudden appearance puts me in a difficult position."
"What if your father takes back my possessions and identity?" Feng Yu looked at me, his gaze unwavering.
"Can you not send me back?"
"I..." I opened my mouth, seemingly deep in thought.
To be honest, I didn't really want to send Feng Yu back right now. After all, he was the main character. Moreover, he had come here on his own. I wasn't sure if sending him back would even be possible.
Lying on the bed, I flipped through the accounts of the shops under my name. It's interesting to note that the shop I owned was a bookstore. My mother, Cai, had given me some money when I was twelve, thinking I could start some kind of business to pass the time. So, I opened a bookstore. At first, I approached it with a casual attitude.
But later, I gradually managed to run it with great success.
Starting a bookshop doesn't require much initial capital. However, in the business world, sometimes status is more useful than money. As a member of the Cai Family, all I need to do is spread the word, and countless people are willing to work for me.
Thinking of this, I couldn't help but sigh—Feng Yu is truly a treasure. It seems that whenever I have some free time, I should reach out to the Cai Family again. Such a good treasure, I wouldn't want to use him up easily. At the very least, he should be worth a hundred thousand taels of silver. The Cai Family isn't short on money. What they lack is leverage to make their son reconsider his choices.
A treasure like Feng Yu shouldn't be used lightly. When I'm in need of money, I'll send him back and let that couple deal with their love-struck son.
Just as I was thinking about this, Feng Yu returned from his bath.
"What are you looking at?" he asked, looking at me with some confusion.
"Ladies' Portrait," I replied casually.
"Let me see." Feng Yu walked over and looked at the painting on the table. Then, his expression darkened instantly.
On the Ladies' Portrait, a man was depicted half-naked, revealing solid abs.
"A half-naked man?" Feng Yu grabbed my hand and placed it on his own abs. "Isn't mine good enough?"
"No," I shook my head. "How can it compare?"
"The physique of a man gives off a different impression."
"I need to see many men to know which one is better."
Feng Yu's expression darkened further.
"What do you think of me?"
He grabbed my wrist and pinned me down.
"I helped you accomplish such a big task, so you owe me a reward."
"Reward?"
I looked at Feng Yu and flashed a provocative smile.
"What kind of reward do you want?"
"Be my good dog, how about that?"
Feng Yu glared at me, his eyes almost blazing with anger.
"Not willing?"
Feng Yu remained silent, looking gloomy.
"Not going to speak?"
"Silence means consent."
I nodded.
"Then I'll take that as your agreement."
"Now, give me a couple of barks."
Feng Yu gritted his teeth in anger.
However, he ultimately imitated two dog barks.
"Very good."
I smiled and straddled him.
"So..."
"Let's get started."
