"Third Brother, what was that Little Guy who just went up?" Copper Bull asked angrily.
Although Copper Bull was tall and strong, he never bullied those weaker than himself. However, he found this situation quite intolerable. He had often fought outside because of such matters and had also been beaten by his father.
Liu Guanfeng shook his head, "I don't know either, Bao Rui." Liu Guanfeng looked up at Bao Rui.
"Third Brother, feel free to give me any orders," Bao Rui said.
"Go investigate this person's background for me. Although I don't want to cause trouble at school, if it really comes to that, I need to know who I'm dealing with. I hope they won't come to bother me," Liu Guanfeng seemed to be talking to himself at the end.
"Alright, Third Brother, you can count on me," Bao Rui nodded.
After finishing lunch, Liu Guanfeng and the others bid farewell to Platinum Wen. The four of them went to the school to handle their registration since they all lived at home.
They found the Dean of Discipline on the second floor of the school office building. After explaining the situation, they quickly received a pass each. After leaving the school office building, Liu Guanfeng and his three companions went straight home instead of returning to the dormitory.
It wasn't until evening that Bao Rui returned from outside and provided Liu Guanfeng with the information he wanted. The extremely arrogant kid from this morning was named Ma Sanbao, and his father was General Ma Weiwu of Starfall Kingdom's Third Son.
He was in the Golden Class, and Mount was a Leopard. He had seven attendants who came with him to Rainfront Academy for study. As for the reason for coming here, it was unclear but likely to recruit attendants.
It was common for prominent families or high-ranking officials from various countries to send one or more of their children to nearby Regular Knight Schools for the purpose of recruiting attendants. Even ordinary schools would have good knights or outstanding talents in various fields, which was something every family needed.
After letting Bao Rui and the others practice in the room for two hours, he sent them back to rest. Liu Guanfeng also began his regular training.
The next morning after breakfast, Liu Guanfeng and his companions arrived at the school's main playground because today was the annual opening ceremony. Liu Guanfeng found his Special Class; there were four classes in total for Special Class each year, with only about ten students in each class.
In contrast, other divisions had several dozen classes each, with forty or fifty students in each class. The difference in numbers clearly indicated the status of the Special Division within the school.
It was said that the opening ceremony would start at eight in the morning, but all the students waited until eight-thirty for the relevant school leaders to arrive. On the podium were a total of ten people, including the Dean, the Vice Dean, six branch deans, the Chief Discipline Officer, and the Chief Instructional Officer.
A teacher-like figure stepped onto the stage: "Today is our annual opening ceremony at Rainfront Academy. On behalf of all the faculty and students, I welcome the new students. Your arrival has rejuvenated Rainfront Academy once again. Now, let's invite Director Jin, our Chief Discipline Officer, to speak."
Director Jin took the stage and laid out specific disciplinary requirements for the students. Liu Guanfeng felt dizzy from all the information. These requirements were similar to those in modern schools, covering aspects like school appearance, strict prohibitions against fighting, skipping classes, and so on. Finally, just as Liu Guanfeng was about to lose it, Director Jin finished and stepped down.
Next was the Chief Instructional Officer's semester work arrangements. Finally, it was time for the Dean to give his closing remarks. True to his position, the Dean's speech was longer than those of both the Instructional Officer and Discipline Officer combined. Liu Guanfeng didn't catch a single word of what the Dean said; he only remembered one line: "Once again, I welcome our new students. That concludes my speech."
The teacher who had hosted earlier stepped forward again. "I declare that the opening ceremony for this new semester is now concluded. Please return to your classrooms and wait for your homeroom teachers' instructions."
Following his classmates back to their classroom, once everyone was seated, a woman entered from outside. She appeared to be around twenty-five or twenty-six years old, with fair skin and striking features. Her shoulder-length hair gave her an indescribable vitality.
The woman walked up to the podium. "Hello everyone, I am your homeroom teacher. My surname is Chang; you can call me Chang Hong. I will spend four wonderful years with you all. If you have any issues that need resolving in the future, remember to come find me."
After speaking, Chang Hong took out a piece of paper. "This is your schedule for this semester."
Liu Guanfeng glanced at it; they would have classes for six days followed by a day off, with free time for activities when there were no classes. There would be three classes in the morning and two in the afternoon, each lasting about an hour.
Their Special Class subjects mainly included History, Calligraphy, Calculation, Literature, Sports, Medicine, and Mount Care. Chang Hong would primarily teach them Calligraphy and Literature.
"Now we will begin our first class: Calligraphy. Please take out your pens and paper." With that statement from Instructor Chang, Liu Guanfeng started his first class in this new world. There were three classes scheduled for this morning: Calligraphy, Calculation, and Mount Care.
Taking out his pen and paper, he began practicing writing. In his previous life, Liu Guanfeng's handwriting was considered "the best" in their class; however, very few could recognize what he wrote unless he explained it himself. So here he needed to practice earnestly—each stroke carefully executed—as time flew by during class.
After a short break, they began their second class: Calculation. The teacher was a woman named Chen who appeared to be in her thirties. As a university graduate teaching such basic Calculation concepts, Liu Guanfeng couldn't even muster the energy to listen.
The third class was Mount Care taught by an elderly man in his fifties or sixties. Liu Guanfeng paid close attention during this lesson because every knight's second life depended on their mount; knowing how to care for one was extremely important.
While learning about Mount Care, Liu Guanfeng recalled his preparation for past exams and diligently recorded every word spoken by the teacher. Before he knew it, the morning's classes had come to an end.
At noon, Liu Guanfeng and Platinum Wen arrived at the entrance of the Cafeteria to wait for Bao Rui to join them for lunch. After a simple meal, Liu Guanfeng and Platinum Wen returned to their dormitory, where Platinum Wen discussed ways to make money.
Liu Guanfeng thought to himself that it was no surprise a merchant's child would always be thinking about making money. When he mentioned earning money, Liu Guanfeng recalled that many college students nowadays made money by selling items. However, there were currently no students actively buying and selling goods at their school.
So, Liu Guanfeng said to Platinum Wen, "Platinum Wen, why not consider selling some small items that students might need, like stationery, clothing, and those little trinkets or toys that girls love?"
Upon hearing this, Platinum Wen's eyes lit up as he thought aloud, "You're right! Although the items we sell might not be very profitable, there are plenty of potential buyers. Sometimes these things are exactly what students need. I won't think about clothing for now, but stationery and items that girls like could definitely work."
Thinking this over, he looked up at Liu Guanfeng and said, "But I don't have enough capital. My father only gives me two Silver Coins for my meals each time. That’s enough for food, but it would be difficult for starting a business."
Liu Guanfeng looked at Platinum Wen and took out two gold coins from his pocket, tossing them to him. "Take these two gold coins for now; they should be enough for your small business. I won't be staying here much in the evenings, so there will be enough space for you to store your goods."
Platinum Wen looked at the two gold coins Liu Guanfeng had thrown him. "How can I accept this? I can't use your money for my business!"
"I never said it's a gift. If you make money, you still need to return these two gold coins to me. As for interest, just treat me to a meal. If you don’t make any money, then forget about returning the gold coins; does that sound fair?"
Platinum Wen thought for a moment and replied, "Alright, if I make a profit, I'll return both the principal and interest to you. Treating you to a meal is no problem."
Liu Guanfeng smiled slightly and didn't argue further. "Alright then, it's time to rest; we have two classes this afternoon." With that, Liu Guanfeng lay down on his bed to rest.
In the afternoon, there were two classes: one Literature Class and one Free Period (self-study). After class ended, he returned home with Bao Rui and the others. In the evening, he routinely had Bao Rui and the others practice in his room for two hours before continuing his own training with XP for the rest of the night.
The next morning began with new classes in their classroom. After lunch that day, upon returning to the dormitory, Liu Guanfeng found various items spread throughout the room. Platinum Wen was smiling as he looked at these items. He explained that he had gone out after class yesterday afternoon to purchase them and was ready to start selling today.
During lunchtime, Liu Guanfeng asked Bao Rui and the others to help keep an eye on things because among all the divisions, his Special Academy was looked down upon the most since its students were not considered capable of becoming true knights. He worried that Platinum Wen might get bullied while selling his goods; having someone watch over him would make things easier.
Thus, Liu Guanfeng advised Platinum Wen to start selling in the Fire Department and Earth Department divisions first. After finishing classes in the afternoon, Liu Guanfeng returned to his dormitory while Platinum Wen began his first business venture with the help of Bao Rui and the others.
By around five o'clock in the evening, Platinum Wen returned with a similarly exhausted Bao Rui and the others. As soon as they entered the dormitory, all four of them sat on their beds together, panting heavily.
Liu Guanfeng smiled at the four of them and said, "What's wrong? Did you run a few dozen laps or get into a dozen fights? Why do you look so exhausted?"
Despite their tiredness, the smiles on their faces indicated that they had achieved quite a bit this time. Platinum Wen smiled at me and said, "Young Master Liu, do you know how much we sold this afternoon?"
"Looking at your expressions, it seems like you made a good profit this afternoon."
"Of course! I sold 1 gold coin and 4 Silver Coins this afternoon. If we calculate the net profit, it should be around 3 Silver Coins."
"That sounds great! To celebrate your success, I’ll treat you all to a nice meal today." Liu Guanfeng stood up.
As soon as Copper Bull and Iron Bull heard about the meal, they perked up immediately, muttering, "Third Brother is the best! We've been starving; Third Brother is the best!"
Platinum Wen then stood up and said, "Young Master Liu, I should treat for today's meal. They’ve worked hard for me, so it’s only right that I pay. Plus, I made some money today."
Liu Guanfeng shook his head. "Today is just the beginning for you. The money you earned today should be saved as capital for the future. Once you make more money, then you can treat us. For today, let’s count this as my treat."
After saying that, he led the three of them to the cafeteria and went straight to the second floor. Bao Rui ordered several exquisite dishes, while Copper Bull and Iron Bull began to eat heartily. Watching the Copper Bull Brothers devour their food, Liu Guanfeng, Bao Rui, and Platinum Wen could only smile and start their meal.
When the five of them were halfway through their meal, a commotion came from the staircase. Ma Sanbao appeared with his seven subordinates as they came up the stairs. Upon seeing their table, Ma Sanbao glanced over with disdain and walked past them.
He chose a table near the window, and soon a feast was laid out before him.
