Liu Guanfeng walked another fifty meters up the mountain and spotted more than twenty Cloud Rabbits moving around. He communicated with XP, instructing them to wait across the way for an ambush. When he hit a rabbit with his slingshot, the others would surely scatter in all directions. If any rabbits ran towards him, he would take the opportunity to catch one.
XP nodded at Liu Guanfeng and slowly crawled across to the other side. Once XP found a good spot, they concealed themselves and sent a message to Liu Guanfeng, indicating they were ready.
At this moment, Liu Guanfeng crept closer to the rabbits, which were all focused on grazing and unaware of his approach. Hiding behind a large tree, he was only about five meters away from the nearest rabbit. Liu Guanfeng slowly pulled a Stone from his pocket and readied his slingshot.
With a snap, the Stone flew straight towards the closest rabbit. The rabbit fell immediately, while the others panicked and scattered.
XP was hiding behind a small Stone on the opposite side, just large enough to conceal their body. When Liu Guanfeng's slingshot fired, two rabbits dashed towards XP's position.
Cloud Rabbits were known for their impressive running and jumping abilities, so the rock could not block their escape. The two rabbits leaped over the rock just as XP sprang up from behind it.
XP lunged forward, grabbing one rabbit with their front paws and biting down on its neck. At the same time, XP's body slightly enlarged, using the momentum to perform a backflip. During the flip, XP's tail accidentally struck the second rabbit that was approaching from behind.
With a flash of golden light, XP's tail hit the second Cloud Rabbit squarely on the head, sending it flying backward. After landing, XP found that the rabbit they had bitten was lifeless, while the one struck by their tail was also dead with its head severely injured.
Only the rabbit hit by Liu Guanfeng's slingshot remained alive. After XP dealt with it, Liu Guanfeng tied up all three rabbits and placed them on XP's back.
Then Liu Guanfeng and XP continued their ascent. Along the way, they caught two Grass Snakes. After climbing another thirty or forty meters, XP suddenly informed Liu Guanfeng that there seemed to be a larger magical beast ahead.
Liu Guanfeng quietly approached and saw that about ten meters in front of him was a Four-Horned Antelope. The Four-Horned Antelope was a third-tier Metallic magical beast known for its gentle and timid nature.
Liu Guanfeng instructed XP to circle around in front of the Four-Horned Antelope and said that when he struck it, XP should use their aura to suppress it before capturing it. If XP charged directly at the antelope to exert pressure, it might become startled and flee; after all, even a fast Leopard would find it difficult to catch a Four-Horned Antelope.
XP quickly maneuvered behind the Four-Horned Antelope. Liu Guanfeng took another Stone from his pocket and successfully hit one of its hind legs. Startled, the antelope tried to leap forward but turned back to look at Liu Guanfeng; perhaps it thought dealing with such a small child would be easy.
As the Four-Horned Antelope turned to face Liu Guanfeng, it completely exposed its back to XP.
After giving XP an attack signal, Liu Guanfeng launched four fireballs from behind the antelope, all striking its previously injured hind leg. When the antelope felt pain again and turned to see XP, it decided to flee.
However, as it prepared to jump away with its powerful hind legs, it realized that one leg was unresponsive and collapsed onto the ground. The Four-Horned Antelope attempted to rise again but was pinned down by an overwhelming pressure from XP. Finally, XP bit into its neck, causing it to slowly close its eyes for good.
Liu Guanfeng walked over to take a look at the Four-Horned Antelope lying on the ground. A voice from xp echoed in his mind:
"Master, there is a Core on the forehead of the three-tiered beast."
"xp, go retrieve the Core."
It wasn't that Liu Guanfeng didn't want to do it himself, but he was afraid. He had never killed even a chicken in his past life, so he felt some resistance towards such things. xp approached the Four-Horned Antelope and easily sliced open its skull with its front claws. Near the forehead, xp extracted a golden crystal about the size of a peanut and placed it in Liu Guanfeng's hand.
This Core was significantly smaller than the one Azure Dragon Master had taken out last time, and he could sense very little energy emanating from it.
After securing the Core from the Four-Horned Antelope, Liu Guanfeng began to pack up the Antelope, preparing to head down the mountain. He had been up here for over an hour. Just as he was tidying up, xp's voice reached Liu Guanfeng's mind again: "Master, why is there such a strong smell of blood?"
Liu Guanfeng smiled and glanced at xp: "How could there not be a bloody smell after just killing a Four-Horned Antelope?"
xp shook its head: "No, Master, that's not the blood of the Four-Horned Antelope; there's human blood mixed in, and it's quite strong. There are also traces of blood and scent from other beasts."
Liu Guanfeng's heart skipped a beat: "xp, can you determine where the bloody smell is coming from?"
xp looked around and said, "It should be coming from up the mountain."
"Alright, let's go take a look, but we need to handle these prey first." Liu Guanfeng quickly climbed up a nearby large tree. He pulled the Antelope and Cloud Rabbit tied with vines up into the tree. The Antelope was quite heavy, probably around a hundred pounds, but with xp's help, he quickly secured it. He tied both the Antelope and Cloud Rabbit with vines to prevent them from falling and being stolen by other beasts.
After securing the prey, Liu Guanfeng jumped down from the tree and followed xp as they ran toward the mountain peak. They were only about thirty meters away from the summit and soon reached it. Liu Guanfeng and xp found a rock to hide behind. Peeking out, what they saw left Liu Guanfeng stunned.
Not far ahead on the mountaintop was a flat area with a large boulder; there wasn't even a single tree on top of the mountain. Lying on the ground in front of the boulder were two men whose faces were not visible; they appeared gravely injured, though it was unclear if they were dead.
In front of these two men stood a woman in her early thirties with an oval face and tightly knit willow leaf eyebrows. She had a cherry-red mouth and was breathing heavily; her skin was slightly dark but she wore very revealing clothing—a tight red outfit that showcased her graceful figure perfectly.
However, she had three deep wounds on her thigh that were still bleeding profusely. The woman held a bow in her hand and had a quiver on her back containing seven or eight arrows; she also had a sword hanging at her waist. At her feet lay an injured Fire Fox.
In front of this woman stood two men. One man wielded dual axes and stood about six feet tall; his body was muscular and explosive-looking with a square face, straight nose, wide mouth, and thick furrowed brows. His clothes were already tattered. Next to him stood a Hedgehog whose spikes were mostly gone and had several scratches on its body.
To the left of this man stood another man who was only about five feet seven inches tall; he wielded an iron staff. This man had an elongated face with sword-like eyebrows and bore a deep scar on his face; his clothes were also in tatters. Beside him stood a fiery red horse—this horse was a three-tiered Fire Department beast known as Blazing Horse.
In front of the three people was a pack of Fire Wolves, nearly thirty in number. Lying between the three individuals and the Fire Wolf Pack were four or five dead Fire Wolf bodies. Behind this group of Fire Wolves stood a Fire Wolf with fur as red as fire, and its body was noticeably taller than the others.
Liu Guanfeng turned to xp and asked, "What is the strength of that pack of wolves? Can we rescue the people inside?"
At that moment, xp was observing the wolf pack. "Master, the last one in that pack should be a Wolf King Guardian, at Sixth Tier strength. The wolves in front are all at Fourth and Fifth Tier strength. It would be difficult for me to go out alone because there are too many of them."

I'm worried that while you're fighting the Wolf King Guardian, the other Fire Wolves will attack them fiercely."
