As a few people ran inside for more than ten meters, there were now six people in front. Four young adults, around their twenties, stood at the corners, while two boys, about thirteen or fourteen years old, were in the middle. In front of the two boys were two panicked girls who were desperately struggling to evade capture. Everyone's attention was focused on the two girls, completely oblivious to the four newcomers led by Liu Guanfeng.
Liu Guanfeng noticed one of the lean boys and rushed over, delivering a kick to the boy's lower back. The boy let out a yelp as he was sent flying by Liu Guanfeng's kick. One of the girls dodged just in time, while the kicked boy landed awkwardly on the ground.
At the same time, another boy was also sent flying to the left by Bao Rui's kick. The young men standing at the corners were startled by the sudden attack and quickly rushed over to help the two who had been knocked down.
The boy kicked by Liu Guanfeng got up with the support of two youths, clutching his lower back. "Who the hell kicked me?" When he saw Liu Guanfeng, he was taken aback. This boy was Zhao Yuanbao, who had lunch with Dong Ning earlier. Zhao Yuanbao realized that Chen Whirlwind had sent Scarface to trouble Liu Guanfeng at noon, and now seeing Liu Guanfeng made him think that Scarface must have failed.
At this moment, Wang Jiao and Li Xiaohan saw Liu Guanfeng and his group and rushed behind them like they had found a lifeline.
Once the group in front steadied themselves, from both sides emerged a third-tier Giant Lizard, a third-tier Four-Horned Antelope, a third-tier Flame Horse, and a third-tier Fire Fox. Additionally, two magical beasts appeared in front of Liu Guanfeng: a fourth-rank Two-Headed Lizard and a fourth-rank Azure Wolf.
Seeing this, Liu Guanfeng felt uneasy. If it were just a few people, it wouldn't be a big deal, but with four magical beasts joining in, the situation became entirely different.
When Liu Guanfeng's group came out, they had left their mounts at Jiqing Hotel. Liu Guanfeng quietly said to Bao Rui and the others, "See if you can contact your mounts. If you can reach them, have them come immediately." The three nodded in agreement.
Liu Guanfeng then began contacting his own mount: "xp, can you hear me?"
Inside the room, xp heard its master calling and immediately stood up. "Master? Where are you?"
Seeing that he could connect with xp made Liu Guanfeng very happy; his heart finally settled down. "xp, I'm on my way back but I've run into some trouble. I'm being blocked by several people, and they have some magical beasts with them. I can't handle this alone; come quickly."
"Master, hold on! I'll be right there," xp replied.
"Bring Bao Rui's mounts along too."
"Understood, Master."
Then Liu Guanfeng quietly informed Bao Rui and his companions that he had contacted xp and asked it to bring their mounts as well.
Zhao Yuanbao clutched his waist with one hand while pointing at Liu Guanfeng. "Are you Liu Guanfeng?"
Liu Guanfeng looked at Zhao Yuanbao in confusion. "Do you know me? I don't think we've met."
"You don't need to worry about how I know you; just hand over those two girls behind you if you know what's good for you. Otherwise..." Zhao Yuanbao glanced around at the other young men surrounding him.
When Zhao Yuanbao saw Liu Guanfeng appear before him, he already knew that at least one of the people across from him was comparable in strength to Scar. However, seeing the four attendants next to Ji Shou, the nephew of the steward from General Ji's Mansion and one of the Three Generals, reassured him. All four of their attendants were Intermediate Junior Knights. Moreover, they had six magical beasts with them, which was more than enough to handle four people.
After considering this, Zhao Yuanbao felt confident, and his boldness grew. Noticing that Liu Guanfeng remained silent, he asked again, "Did you hear that kid named Liu Guanfeng? Hurry up and hand over those two girls, then you four can crawl out of here."
Since XP had not yet reached its limit, Liu Guanfeng wanted to buy more time.
"This young master, you already know my name; may I ask for your name and that of the young master beside you?" Liu Guanfeng feigned weakness.
Upon hearing Liu Guanfeng's words laced with a hint of submission, Zhao Yuanbao straightened his back. "What’s wrong with you, kid? Are you thinking about revenge later? But let me tell you, I'm not afraid. My name is Zhao Yuanbao, the son of the chief steward of the Zhao family, the finance minister. This is Ji Shou, the nephew of the second steward from General Ji's Mansion." He pointed at Ji Shou as he spoke.
He then nodded toward Liu Guanfeng with a smirk. "If you want revenge, just come at me." His expression was one of utter disdain.
Liu Guanfeng thought to himself: I initially thought he was the son of some noble family; turns out he’s just a dog’s pup.
At that moment, a voice echoed in Liu Guanfeng's mind: "Master, I sense you're ahead, but there are people blocking my way."
"That's right, XP. I'm right in front of you; take down those blocking us but don’t harm them fatally."
Just then, several cries of agony came from not far away from Zhao Yuanbao and his group.
Startled by the sudden sounds while feeling quite pleased with himself, Zhao Yuanbao turned around sharply to see a flash of white light, two red lights, and a dark shadow rushing towards them. Frightened, Zhao Yuanbao dodged aside as several figures dashed directly in front of Liu Guanfeng. It was XP, Stone, Fire, and Bump—four magical beasts.
When Liu Guanfeng saw that the four mounts had arrived, he finally felt relieved. On seeing the four magical beasts approaching, Zhao Yuanbao was initially shocked but soon calmed down after taking a closer look. The four magical beasts included two Fourth Rank ones, one Third Rank one, and one Second Rank Earth Dog.
Zhao Yuanbao glanced at Liu Guanfeng and said, "I wondered why you weren't moving; turns out you were waiting for backup. Do you really think those four magical beasts can compare to our six? Since your backup has arrived, get ready to take a beating." By this point, Zhao Yuanbao understood Liu Guanfeng's intentions and knew he would not hand over the two girls behind him.
Then Zhao Yuanbao and Ji Shou stepped back two paces while four youths and their six mounts surrounded Liu Guanfeng and his group.
Seeing that they were surrounded, Liu Guanfeng instructed the two girls to step back and quietly told Bao Rui and the others: "Be careful; I estimate they should all have Junior Knight strength."
He then communicated with XP: "XP, quickly deal with those mounts and protect the two girls behind us. Remember to incapacitate them but don’t harm their names."
XP glanced at the two girls behind Liu Guanfeng and assured him: "Master, don’t worry."
With that said, a flash of white light signaled XP's initial attack aimed at the Fourth Rank Azure Wolf across from them. XP's eyes turned red in an instant; when two beams of red light shot into the Azure Wolf's eyes, it trembled all over as if stunned and stood frozen in place. Then XP leaped over the Azure Wolf.
This leap landed XP right on the back of the Azure Wolf; with a flash of golden light from its limbs, XP stomped down on the Azure Wolf's waist. With a thud sound, the Azure Wolf fainted without even letting out a cry.
As soon as XP landed, it did not hesitate and charged straight at the Two-Headed Lizard, simultaneously unleashing two fireballs from its mouth. The Two-Headed Lizard, seeing XP rushing towards it, quickly raised its head and a vine net sprouted in front of the Lizard. However, before the wall could fully form, XP had already arrived, its fur turning a fiery red.
With the path cleared by the two fireballs, the red XP easily passed through the vine net. The Two-Headed Lizard had not yet reacted when XP landed on its front legs and immediately turned around, using its two equally fiery red tails to strike at the Two-Headed Lizard's front paw. The Two-Headed Lizard let out a strange cry and was sent flying by XP's blow. When the Two-Headed Lizard hit the ground, its left front paw was already covered in darkness.
Two meters to the left of its body lay its left front paw. The Two-Headed Lizard fainted from the pain.
The incident happened in an instant. By the time Zhao Yuanbao and Ji Shou reacted, both of their mounts had been severely injured by XP and had fainted. At that moment, XP had already returned to the side of the two girls.
At the same time, the other three mounts had also engaged their opponents: Benben faced off against a Tier 3 Giant Lizard, Stone confronted a Four-Horned Antelope, and Fire met both a Fire Fox and a Flame Horse.
Liu Guanfeng was not in the mood to watch the battles of the mounts because the four young men opposite him quickly launched an attack after a brief moment of surprise. Liu Guanfeng warned, "Be careful!" and faced off against a young man with small eyes.
When they clashed, Liu Guanfeng realized he was correct in his assumption; the young man he was fighting was indeed a Junior Knight. He could feel a force of Earth Attribute crashing against him through the young man's punches. Generally, Earth Attribute knights were strength-oriented fighters; only they could wield Earth Attribute to its fullest extent.
However, this young man clearly underestimated Liu Guanfeng's strength. No one would expect a six or seven-year-old child to possess Junior Knight capabilities. The young man thought his side kick would easily push Liu Guanfeng away, but unexpectedly, Liu Guanfeng not only remained standing but also put himself in a dominant position.
Liu Guanfeng sidestepped the young man's kick and grabbed his ankle with one hand. With a forceful pull, he applied Fire Attribute effects to the Small-eyed Youth's ankle. The young man winced in pain; however, due to the immense force of that kick, he couldn't regain his balance or retract his leg. Liu Guanfeng took advantage of this and pulled forward, causing the young man to tumble past him.
As the Small-eyed Youth rushed to Liu Guanfeng's side, Liu Guanfeng delivered a punch to his abdomen. The young man's shirt at that spot burned through, creating a hole the size of a fist. It was only then that the Small-eyed Youth realized that his opponent was also a Junior Knight.
Holding his abdomen with both hands, the young man could no longer stand up. Liu Guanfeng did not stop just because his opponent was down; he stepped forward and kicked at the Small-eyed Youth's head. Seeing Liu Guanfeng's foot coming towards him, the young man quickly raised his arms to block it but found himself unable to stabilize as he attempted to stand up. Before he could regain his footing, Liu Guanfeng's second kick struck him squarely in the abdomen, knocking him down to the ground.
