The next morning, everyone gathered again at the school playground. King Sun Guangshan returned to the podium. The principal of Meteor Academy stood in front of the podium, where a large blackboard displayed the grouping information.
Copper Bull was assigned to Group Five as a Seed Player for Rainfront Academy; Leihong was in Group One; Bao Rui was in Group Two; Liu Guanfeng was in Group Three; Iron Bull was in Group Four.
XP, as a Seed Player for Rainfront Academy in the Advanced Mount Competition, was also placed in Group Five; Ma Sanbao's Leopard was in Group Three; Iron Bull's Rock Ape was placed in the second group of the beginner category.
In the first match, all Seed Players were required to compete. Since XP was participating in the first match, Liu Guanfeng did not compete. Meteor Academy had more arenas than other places, with a total of twenty arenas. The first five arenas featured knight battles, the middle five were for the Advanced Mount Competition, and the last five arenas hosted the beginner Mount Arena Campus Competition.
Liu Guanfeng brought XP to the Fifth Arena, where four mounts were also present in his group: a Fourth Rank Fire Wolf, a Fifth Tier crocodile, a Fourth Rank Three-Tailed Fire Fox, and a Fourth Rank Hippopotamus. XP's first opponent was three Fire Foxes.
What surprised Liu Guanfeng the most was that when the referee announced the start of the match, the girl with the Fire Fox immediately declared her forfeit. That day, when XP fought against Xie Siqi's Gorilla, she happened to be underneath the arena and was intimidated by XP's displayed strength, leading her to concede right away.
Liu Guanfeng felt as if he had punched nothing but air. He then took XP to the third Arena in front. In that arena, Wang Honglei from Starlight Academy faced Situ Yun from Stream Academy. Wang Honglei lived up to his reputation as a Seed Player from Starlight Academy; at that moment, Situ Yun could only defend himself and had no chance to counterattack.
After several rounds of resistance, Situ Yun voluntarily conceded. The next match would be Liu Guanfeng against Li Yuhua from Meteor Academy. Li Yuhua was a fourth-year student at Meteor Academy, about one meter fifty tall with small eyes that made him appear quite shrewd.
After the first match concluded, Liu Guanfeng and Li Yuhua stepped onto the arena. The referee approached them: "Both players ready? Begin." After stepping back, Liu Guanfeng wasted no time and charged at his opponent as soon as he heard "start."
He unleashed a flurry of punches on Li Yuhua, forcing him to retreat and defend. When Liu Guanfeng stopped his punches, he jumped up and delivered a series of kicks toward Li Yuhua. Li Yuhua could only dodge and block. Liu Guanfeng controlled his strength well, keeping it around fifty percent.
After blocking Liu Guanfeng's rapid kicks, Li Yuhua created some distance between them and said, "It's my turn now." He charged at Liu Guanfeng with a side kick aimed at his head. Liu Guanfeng deflected the incoming foot with his hand while Li Yuhua used that momentum to lower his left leg. As his left foot touched down, he quickly turned and attempted to kick Liu Guanfeng's head with his right heel.
Liu Guanfeng blocked Li Yuhua's right foot with his right hand and then kicked toward Li Yuhua's supporting left leg with his right foot. Li Yuhua fell into a split from the kick and quickly rolled aside. At this moment, Liu Guanfeng did not attack him but waited for Li Yuhua to get back up. Liu Guanfeng beckoned with his finger toward Li Yuhua, who responded by lunging forward with a double palm strike aimed at Liu Guanfeng's chest.
Liu Guanfeng used both hands to block Li Yuhua's fists and then headbutted him in the chest, pushing him back. As Li Yuhua staggered backward, Liu Guanfeng followed up by charging forward with his shoulder into Li Yuhua's chest again. Li Yuhua continued to retreat while Liu Guanfeng took advantage of their momentum; he lowered his head to support himself on the ground with one hand and executed a one-handed cartwheel while kicking both feet toward Li Yuhua.
Li Yuhua could only cross his arms in front of his chest and brace himself for Liu Guanfeng's kick. Seeing that Li Yuhua was already not far from the edge of the Arena, Liu Guanfeng landed on both feet, lunged forward, and threw a punch at Li Yuhua's chest. Li Yuhua managed to block it, but he was getting closer to the edge of the Arena with each passing moment. Liu Guanfeng continued to throw punches aimed directly at Li Yuhua's chest.
Due to Li Yuhua's continuous retreat, his center of gravity shifted backward, making it nearly impossible for him to dodge effectively; he could only deflect and withstand the blows. Liu Guanfeng kept alternating punches from left to right, forcing Li Yuhua further back until he reached the edge of the Arena and stepped off into empty space. Li Yuhua stumbled slightly, and Liu Guanfeng seized the opportunity to deliver a kick that sent Li Yuhua tumbling off the Arena.
From the start of his assault until Li Yuhua was knocked off the Arena, Liu Guanfeng executed a seamless combination of strikes and kicks while Li Yuhua retreated all the way down. The audience below cheered enthusiastically.
Once on the ground, Li Yuhua shook his head in disbelief, feeling that his luck had run out. He thought that if he had been more cautious at the beginning, he wouldn't have been knocked down since Liu Guanfeng's strength wasn't particularly overwhelming. This sensation had started as soon as he entered the playground earlier that day. He tried to locate this person but found no one after searching for a long time.
Not too far away on the podium, Sun Guangshan, the king of Starfall Kingdom, nodded slightly to himself, thinking: This kid has a good sense; even from this distance, he can feel my gaze. Keep working hard, young man. If you can win this knight competition championship, I will reward you handsomely.
Several other matches were still ongoing in the Arena at this time. Iron Bull was currently facing an opponent who was shorter and lighter than him. The opponent was engaging Iron Bull in combat, which made Liu Guanfeng feel reassured since it was clear that the opponent stood no chance against Iron Bull. After exchanging blows for over ten rounds, the opponent conceded defeat.
The morning matches concluded for the first day, with afternoon matches scheduled to start at three o'clock to avoid the hottest part of the day. After lunch, all participants returned to their dormitories to rest until they gathered in front of the Arena at three o'clock.
The first match of the afternoon featured Liu Guanfeng against Situ Yun from Stream Academy. Liu Guanfeng was relatively familiar with Situ Yun's abilities since he had seen one of his matches before. To give Situ Yun some face, Liu Guanfeng did not initiate an attack right away but instead adopted a Tai Chi stance. This startled Situ Yun into inaction; however, noticing that Liu Guanfeng had no intention of attacking, Situ Yun cautiously launched an offensive.
When a punch came flying toward him, Liu Guanfeng simply deflected Situ Yun's punch outward with one hand. Taking advantage of this momentum, Situ Yun spun around and aimed an elbow strike at Liu Guanfeng's head. Liu Guanfeng stepped back with his left foot to evade this attack and then grabbed Situ Yun's elbow with both hands and pulled it outward. Spotting Situ Yun's supporting right foot, Liu Guanfeng kicked out with his right foot.
The kick struck Situ Yun's right heel before he could comprehend what happened, causing him to spin and fall onto the Arena floor. After rolling a few times on the ground, Situ Yun got back up while Liu Guanfeng remained in his initial Tai Chi stance without moving.
Situ Yun took a few steps back before jumping up to deliver a flying kick aimed at Liu Guanfeng's chest. Liu Guanfeng sidestepped again to avoid Situ Yun’s kick and then used both hands to push Situ Yun’s leg outward. As a result, Situ Yun flew over Liu Guanfeng and landed on the ground.
Situ Yun quickly turned around only to find Liu Guanfeng still standing in place as if he hadn't moved at all.
At this moment, Situ Yun realized that his opponent had shown him mercy; they were clearly not on the same level. Being straightforward by nature, Situ Yun stood up and cupped his fists in respect towards Liu Guanfeng: "I concede; thank you for your mercy."
Liu Guanfeng also cupped his fists in return: "You honor me." The referee then stepped onto the stage to announce that the match had ended.
Liu Guanfeng exited the Arena after the second match, where both Bao Rui and Copper Bull had participated, easily defeating their opponents.
In the second advanced Mount match, XP's opponent was a Fourth Rank Fire Wolf. The Fire Wolf posed no threat to XP, who quickly knocked it off the Arena with just a few moves.
On the first day of competition, Liu Guanfeng's team had all won two matches each. They also won over a dozen gold coins at the betting house. It could be said that Liu Guanfeng was in an exceptionally good mood that day, aside from being under scrutiny.
The second day of competition began after the participants had breakfast. This morning, Liu Guanfeng had a bye. However, there was one match that Liu Guanfeng paid close attention to: Bao Rui's match in the Second Arena. It was his first match of the day, and his opponent was Xie Siqi from Starlight Academy, who was the Seed Player of their group.

"Xie Siqi, what a coincidence. Before you injured my Fire, did you know we would be in the same group?"
"You are Bao Rui, right? Your master killed my Mount; it's not excessive for me to take down one of his subordinates," Xie Siqi replied through gritted teeth.
"Then let's see if you have that capability. I will definitely avenge my Fire today. Xie Siqi, just wait and see if your strength is as formidable as your gorilla," Bao Rui said with a slight smile.
At that moment, the referee walked to the center of the Arena: "Please prepare yourselves, contestants."
Bao Rui raised his hand: "Referee, please wait." After saying this, he walked to the back of the Arena and removed his wrist guards, leg guards, and vest. Bao Rui immediately felt much lighter and moved his limbs around, feeling that his condition was quite good.
Once Bao Rui had everything sorted out, he looked up at the sky: "Fire, watch closely. See how your master avenges you. He made you lie in bed for a month; I will make him lie in bed for half a year. Just watch." After calming himself down, Bao Rui walked back to the center of the Arena.
