After a few rounds, Ji Hu stood in place, panting, while Liu Guanfeng watched from the side. Ji Hu looked up at Liu Guanfeng and said, "Your speed is really impressive, and your strength is not small either. I think I really need to put in some effort to win against you."
Liu Guanfeng smiled at Ji Hu, genuinely admiring him. The confrontation between water and fire mounts immediately created a thick white mist in the center of the arena as they battled. The longer they fought, the denser the mist became until only white fog remained in the center of the Arena; it was impossible to see either beast amidst it as roars echoed through.
Gradually, the roars ceased and the white mist began to dissipate. In the Arena, one beast lay on the ground while another stood tall. The standing beast was naturally XP; Flame Tiger lay on the ground unable to rise. Its condition was similar to Ji Hu's—completely drained of energy. During the match against XP's Water Type attacks, Flame Tiger had been in a passive state; managing to hold out for so long was already quite remarkable.

Once on the Arena, both exchanged wry smiles before sitting down simultaneously. Their mounts stood in the center of the arena. As with yesterday's situation, once the match began, both mounts glowed again—today's light was gold and red. The golden light emanated from the Golden Light Tiger, while red light radiated from xp.
Seeing the red light on xp made Ji Hu shake his head. Fire counters gold when their levels are close enough; elemental interactions can determine the outcome of a match. As the flames rose, a heavy weight pressed down on Ji Hu's heart.
However, the competition had to proceed. The two magical beasts charged at each other swiftly, and soon red and gold lights intertwined on stage. But as they fought on, the golden light dimmed until only red light filled the arena. After another clash of gold and red lights, they separated.
The Golden Light Tiger, swaying on stage, fell as soon as its golden light extinguished. Before collapsing, it conveyed almost exactly what yesterday's Flame Tiger had told to Ji Hu, which made him feel sorrowful but grateful for Liu Guanfeng's mercy.
With the fall of the Golden Light Tiger, all knight and mount battles concluded. Both Liu Guanfeng and xp emerged as champions of their respective competitions, while the champion of the junior mount battle competition was claimed by a two-tailed Fire Fox from Starlight Academy.
Although the competition had ended, awards would be distributed later in a unified manner. Thus, everyone from Rainfront Academy surrounded Liu Guanfeng, who lay on xp's back as they returned to their dormitory. At noon, meals for four were served in their dormitory; their food was much better than that of outside students since it was specially ordered by Dean Su for them. Therefore, there are still plenty of magical beasts present on Trial Mountain.
After lunch, Liu Guanfeng called Bao Rui over:
"Bao Rui, do you have confidence in this Hunting Competition?"
Bao Rui shook his head: "I only hunted during the last test, so I have no experience at all."
