Seeing Ma Sanbao's smug expression, Bao Rui clenched his fists, wishing he could rush over and give Ma Sanbao a good beating. However, he was held back by Liu Guanfeng, who shook his head at Bao Rui.
Noticing Liu Guanfeng's demeanor, Bao Rui nodded in understanding; he knew that Liu Guanfeng must have a plan.
“Bao Rui, you should go rest in the dormitory tonight. I still need to head into the mountains later,” Liu Guanfeng said.
“Third Brother, what are you going into the mountains for tonight? Why don't I accompany you? It would be safer to have someone with you out there,” Bao Rui suggested.
Liu Guanfeng shook his head. “Bao Rui, you have a task to complete in the dormitory tonight.”
“What task is that, Third Brother?” Bao Rui asked.
Liu Guanfeng quietly replied, “Your task is to make sure Ma Sanbao feels even more pleased with himself. I believe you can handle that.” He smiled at Bao Rui.
Bao Rui nodded. “Don’t worry, Third Brother, I’ll take care of it. But you need to be careful up in the mountains.”
“Don’t worry, I’ll be fine.”
As it was getting dark and Proctor had already left the square, Liu Guanfeng instructed Bao Rui to return to the temporary dormitory while he took xp into the Trial Mountain.
Meanwhile, Bao Rui lowered his head and returned to the dormitory where the other three were present. Upon seeing him enter, the relatively familiar Du Zhenyang asked, “Bao Rui, where’s Liu Guanfeng? Why didn’t he come back with you?”
Bao Rui shook his head and sighed. “Liu Guanfeng didn’t catch any prey today; all he got was just enough for a meal. That’s why his score is still zero. He said he wanted to work harder in the mountains tonight to see if he could catch something.”
Du Zhenyang exclaimed, "That's impossible! I've already scored twelve points, so how could Liu Guanfeng have zero?"
"I don't know either. I heard Liu Guanfeng say that he seems to find his prey only after everyone else has caught theirs. By the time he arrives, the others have already captured everything, and the remaining prey has escaped. So he hasn't found many today," Bao Rui said, glancing at Ma Sanbao.

Wang Yuqiang looked up at Bao Rui when addressed. "It was okay today; I got a total of twenty points. How about you, Bao Rui?"
Bao Rui smiled and replied, "I scored a bit higher—twenty-six points."
Upon hearing that Bao Rui had twenty-six points, a flicker of resentment crossed Ma Sanbao's face but quickly turned into a smile as he congratulated Bao Rui. Since Bao Rui had been focused on Ma Sanbao, he noticed the brief moment of resentment on Ma Sanbao's face.
Du Zhenyang rushed up to Bao Rui. "How did you do it? Twenty-six points! My goodness! Even someone like Wang Yuqiang, whose family is full of hunters, only got twenty points. Share some tips with me!"
Bao Rui shook his head. "I can't do that; these are all techniques taught to me by my master, Liu Guanfeng. The reason I got twenty-six points today is that all my catches were alive, which boosted my score. As for the methods, my master doesn't allow me to share them. Even if I did tell you, you wouldn't be able to replicate them without the right tools. All my tools were provided by Master Liu Guanfeng, and I don't have any extras."
Ma Sanbao sitting nearby scoffed in disdain.
Meanwhile, Liu Guanfeng entered Trial Mountain with XP and found a relatively flat area after moving about thirty meters. He then commanded XP to loosen the soil, which was quite easy for a creature of the Earth Department. Soon enough, XP had softened an area about three meters in diameter. Liu Guanfeng took out the military pickaxe he had customized at the Blacksmith Shop.
Liu Guanfeng gradually moved the soil to the sides and used the pickaxe on the harder spots. The military pickaxe is known for its portability and ease of use. Before long, Liu Guanfeng had dug a large pit approximately three meters in diameter and five meters deep.
Liu Guanfeng looked at the large pit and thought: Ma Sanbao will have enough to drink from this tomorrow.
Then Liu Guanfeng gathered many branches and leaves to cover the top, finally laying down some loose soil. He stepped around the edge of the pit a few times, making it look like no one had tampered with the area if someone wasn't paying close attention.
Satisfied with his work, Liu Guanfeng continued deeper into the mountains with XP. He arrived at the place where he first saw the flock of turkeys, placed five funnels on the ground, and tied the silk thread behind them to a very secure spot. Under XP's guidance, Liu Guanfeng scattered all the remaining funnels he had on him in areas where some turkeys and the Golden Rooster were active.
After preparing everything, Liu Guanfeng had XP lead the way as they continued up the mountain. His main target was not these turkeys or the Golden Rooster, but rather the third-tier and Fourth Rank magical beasts on the mountain. Soon, they reached halfway up the slope. Here, XP detected signs of third-tier magical beasts like Antelope and Azure Cattle. With XP's help, Liu Guanfeng dug a few more large pits three meters in diameter and four meters deep.
Once everything was ready, the sky outside began to brighten. As dawn approached, Liu Guanfeng decided to head back because there was an even larger magical beast he needed to capture today. On his way back, he encountered a lone Golden Rooster. Without hesitation, Liu Guanfeng captured it and found a water source to clean it up.
Liu Guanfeng and XP quickly returned to where they had initially dug the pits. Next to the large pit, they set up a bonfire and placed one Golden Rooster on top to roast. Soon, a golden Golden Rooster was cooked. Liu Guanfeng took it down and placed another Golden Rooster that he had prepared and preserved from last night onto the grill. While eating one Golden Rooster, he continued roasting another.
When Liu Guanfeng looked up at the sky and estimated that it was almost time, he quickly got up to tidy up his leftover chicken bones and other items before calling XP over:
"XP, go wait by the fence for a while, then follow Ma Sanbao. When he gets close to me, send me a message. I'll tell you what to do next."
"Understood, Master." After saying that, XP turned and ran toward the fence gate.
Seeing that XP had left, Liu Guanfeng moved the grill aside onto one of the traps. He carefully shifted the charcoal fire beneath the grill and placed a container filled with clean water to one side.
Looking at his perfect creation made him smile happily. "Ma Sanbao, hurry up! You caused me trouble all day yesterday; you shouldn't give up today either. I've prepared a big gift for you; if you don't come, wouldn't that mean all my efforts were in vain?"
While Liu Guanfeng was thinking this, he heard XP's voice in his mind: "Master, Ma Sanbao is heading toward your location; he should arrive in a few minutes."
"Understood, you continue to track and report his location to me at any time."
"Yes, Master."
Liu Guanfeng slowly sat down beside the trap, while turning the roasted chicken above it. The aroma of the chicken wafted through the air.
"Master, Ma Sanbao is standing five meters directly in front of you. He is watching you."
"Xp, you're doing well. Next, quietly move around to my back. Then come out from behind me and tug at my pant leg, indicating that you've found the prey and I should go hunt. Do you understand?"
"Don't worry, Master. My acting skills are quite good. Haven't you praised me before?"
"Alright, stop joking around and focus on the task at hand."
Liu Guanfeng continued to turn the already roasted Golden Rooster: "Where did that stupid dog go? If it doesn't come back soon, I won't save any for it. It's been hungry all night; does it want to starve me or what?"
Liu Guanfeng said loudly, and Ma Sanbao, who was hiding in the bushes in front of him, couldn't help but laugh: it seemed that Liu Guanfeng hadn't had much luck last night either; he was still stuck with that leftover Golden Rooster.
Just then, a White Shadow suddenly darted out from behind Liu Guanfeng, and xp came directly to Liu Guanfeng's side.
"Xp, where have you been, you silly dog? The chicken is already roasted. If you don't come back soon, I'll eat it myself; I'm about to starve." Xp tugged at Liu Guanfeng's pant leg with its mouth.
"Hey, what are you doing, you foolish dog? The Golden Rooster is ready."
xp looked up at Liu Guanfeng and continued to tug at his pant leg.
"Are you saying you just saw a turkey? Or was it alone?"
xp nodded in agreement.
"To be honest, we really can't finish a Golden Rooster by ourselves, but adding a turkey would be no problem. Let's go catch that turkey. What about this Golden Rooster?" Liu Guanfeng swallowed hard.
"We'll deal with the Golden Rooster after we catch the turkey." After saying this, he picked up the Water Container next to him and poured water over the fire beneath the grill, causing a plume of blue smoke to rise from the campfire.
"First, let's put out the fire; otherwise, the chicken will turn to charcoal. Let's go catch that turkey."
Muttering to himself for a moment, Liu Guanfeng followed xp deeper into the woods. After walking for a dozen meters, Liu Guanfeng quickly crouched down. Then he slowly led xp back, finding a more concealed spot to hide.

After weighing the pros and cons, Ma Sanbao got up and mounted Leopard. As Ma Sanbao stood up, Liu Guanfeng noticed him and thought: Little Guy, you’re finally taking the bait; I didn’t spend all night working for nothing.
In a flash of golden light, Ma Sanbao rode Leopard straight toward the sizzling roasted Golden Rooster.
