Time flew by quickly, and in the blink of an eye, Liu Guanfeng was already nine years old. He had just participated in his third Academy Competition at Rainfront Academy. With the addition of Liu Guanfeng and his three companions, the Academy Competition no longer had any foregone conclusions, except for the competition for third place.

"Can you gauge this person's strength?"
"This person should be an Intermediate Knight. Accompanying him is likely his Mount; if I am not mistaken, it should be a Fourth Rank small cat."
Liu Guanfeng nodded; such an opponent would be relatively easy to handle. After all, he had four followers around him who had not yet reached Junior Knight level but were accompanied by four Mounts. They left without any noticeable difference from usual; each returned to their own rooms and closed their doors behind them. However, none of them locked their doors. Meanwhile, each of their Mounts stood guard at their respective doorways.
Liu Guanfeng also closed his door without locking it while XP jumped out through the back window of his room and slowly circled around to one side of the room to observe the person entering along with his small cat. XP relayed information about the situation back to Liu Guanfeng through mental communication while observing.
"Master, that person is now slowly moving towards your door, please be careful."
Hearing that the intruder was approaching the door, Liu Guanfeng quietly positioned himself behind it. Just as he got into place, the voice of XP came through his mind again: "Master, that person is now standing at the right side of your door."
After receiving the information from XP, Liu Guanfeng kicked the right side of the door open. The door swung wide, but something blocked it, resulting in a loud bang. It seemed he had collided with the intruder.
The person who entered showed no reaction as he was hit by the door and instinctively let out a cry of "Ah!" At the same time, Liu Guanfeng rushed out of the room with his sword drawn, followed by several other boys from nearby rooms. Instantly, five boys and their beasts surrounded the intruding thief.
At that moment, Liu Guanfeng finally saw what the intruder looked like. He appeared to be around thirty years old, small in stature, dressed in black night gear, and holding a rapier. Next to him stood a yellow cat.
When the yellow cat saw the surrounding mounts, its fur stood on end in fright. It nervously looked at the five mounts around it. Its owner also looked tense as he observed the five boys. When he realized they were just children, a smile appeared on his face.
Liu Guanfeng pointed his sword at him: "Who are you? Why have you come to my courtyard in the middle of the night?"
The man in black sneered coldly: "Who I am is none of your business. If you know what's good for you, let me go now; otherwise, your lives will end here." With that, he brandished his rapier.
Seeing the man's arrogant demeanor, Liu Guanfeng couldn't help but smirk: "Do you really think you can leave here today? You must be dreaming if you think I'll let you go."
"Since that's how it is, don't blame me for being ruthless." With that, the man pointed his rapier directly at Liu Guanfeng's chest. The tip of the rapier glowed with a faint red light as Liu Guanfeng stepped back quickly. However, it felt as if the sword was magnetically drawn to his chest.
At this moment, Liu Guanfeng could already feel a burning pain radiating from his chest.
