Liu Guanfeng picked up Platinum Wen from the ground and placed her on XP, then mounted Little Black himself. "Let's go back," he said. The two mounts headed straight for the inn where Liu Guanfeng was staying.
The boy who had been beaten initially wanted to send a few people to check where Liu Guanfeng was staying and then go find the Dong Family to ask for help. However, when he saw the two magical beasts that suddenly appeared, he immediately abandoned that idea, as the aura they emitted made him wet his pants. Thus, he reluctantly let Liu Guanfeng and Platinum Wen go.
Liu Guanfeng returned to the inn with Platinum Wen and instructed the waiter to prepare some food and draw a bath. With the help of Bao Rui and others, Platinum Wen took a bath and then enjoyed a hearty meal.
After Platinum Wen finished bathing and eating, Liu Guanfeng and a group of young men gathered around her, asking questions. The conversation was lively since they hadn't seen each other in over a year. When they heard about Platinum Wen's experiences, Iron Bull was furious, shouting loudly and cursing the Dong Family. It wasn't until Liu Guanfeng had playfully beaten a few of them that Iron Bull finally lay back on his bed in a better mood.
As they chatted, Liu Guanfeng suddenly remembered Platinum Wen's bedding and asked, "Jinwen, were those blankets I burned earlier sent by Wang Jiao today?"
Platinum Wen nodded. "Yes, they were delivered this morning by Wang Jiao herself. I saw her eyes were red and swollen from crying. So I asked her why. She told me she was getting married."
Hearing this, Liu Guanfeng turned his gaze to Bao Rui, who was clenching his fists tightly. Liu Guanfeng smiled and shook his head, continuing to listen to Platinum Wen.
"I asked her why she was suddenly getting married. She said that after learning about the incident at Liu Manor, Wang Jiao's father repeatedly warned her not to have any further ties with the Liu Family. However, Wang Jiao was deeply in love with Bao Rui and refused to comply. In the end, her father locked her in her room to prevent her from going out. She also said that even though she is marrying someone else, in her heart there will always be only you. That will never change until death." Platinum Wen sighed softly.
At this moment, Bao Rui stood frozen in place as tears streamed down his cheeks. He didn't know what to say; after all, that girl was his first love. For over a year, Bao Rui had spent his time either training or thinking about her. He had imagined that one day when he made something of himself, he would return triumphantly to marry Wang Jiao. But now fate had denied him that opportunity.
Seeing Bao Rui's expression made Liu Guanfeng feel deeply pained as well; he had found Li Xiaohan again while Bao Rui's beloved was about to become someone else's bride.
Liu Guanfeng walked over to Bao Rui and patted him on the shoulder. "Do you miss her?"
Bao Rui nodded. "Do you still love her? Do you want to make her happy?"
Bao Rui nodded while crying again.
"Then take her away," upon hearing Liu Guanfeng's words, Bao Rui looked up in surprise at Liu Guanfeng.
"Third Brother, are you saying I should take Wang Jiao with me?"
"Why not? Since both of you care about each other, why can't you leave together?"
"Wouldn't it be a burden for me to take her?" Bao Rui lowered his head, but Liu Guanfeng knew that at this moment, Bao Rui must be overjoyed inside.
"If we're leaving, let's all leave together. I can bring happiness to Xiaohan, and I hope you can also bring happiness to Wang Jiao. That way, we won't have any regrets."
"Thank you, Third Brother." At this point, the tears on Bao Rui's face had disappeared, replaced by a happy smile.

Liu Guanfeng explained everything that had happened to Li Xiaohan. When she heard that Bao Rui was going to pick up Wang Jiao, she immediately perked up; after all, they had been good friends for several years. During the time Li Xiaohan was guarding the Liu Family tomb, Wang Jiao often visited her and brought her many daily necessities. Li Xiaohan knew some things about Wang Jiao, so when she heard that they were going to take Wang Jiao away as well, she quickly went back inside to pack her things.
At one-thirty in the morning, Liu Guanfeng quietly left his room with his luggage. The others had also packed their belongings and exited their rooms. Seeing that everyone was out, they exchanged glances without speaking and quietly made their way downstairs. The hall was empty at this time; Liu Guanfeng opened the inn's door and placed a small knife in the door latch. After everyone had exited, Liu Guanfeng slowly backed out and closed the door behind him, gently lowering the knife so that it secured the door once more. No one would notice that anyone had ever exited through that door.
Once on the street, Liu Guanfeng reminded Bao Rui to be careful before he took a few others on their mounts directly toward South Gate while Bao Rui rode his mount straight to Wang Jiao's residence.
Bao Rui was very familiar with Wang Jiao's home; before the incident with the Liu Family, he often frequented the royal residence. At that time, due to their status, Wang Jiao's parents not only did not oppose their interactions but were very supportive of them. However, after the changes in the Liu Family's situation, the Royal Family's attitude underwent a complete turnaround.
When Bao Rui arrived at the royal residence and saw that familiar gate once again, he was filled with mixed emotions.
Bao Rui brought Xiao to the wall closest to Wang Jiao's house and lowered his voice to speak with Dai, "Brother, if we climb over this wall, we will see a small courtyard, and that is Wang Jiao's room." Dai nodded and then used the method taught by Liu Guanfeng. Bao Rui stood at the base of the wall, bending his front legs while pushing against the wall with his back legs. He crossed his arms over his abdomen and took a few steps back before stepping on Bao Rui's hands. With a push from Bao Rui's arms, Xiao, being small in stature, easily climbed up to the top of the wall.
Dai looked around cautiously and saw no signs of danger. He then unbuckled his belt, and Bao Rui grabbed it with one hand while pushing off the wall with his feet, quickly climbing up to the top of the wall. After Dai nodded at Bao Rui, they both jumped down from the more than two-meter-high courtyard wall.
Bao Rui quickly made his way to the door of Wang Jiao's room after spotting it, while Dai quietly slipped over to the courtyard gate to help Bao Rui keep watch.
Standing at the door, Bao Rui faintly heard a girl crying inside; he recognized that it was Wang Jiao. Taking a moment to calm his excited heart, he gently knocked on Wang Jiao's door. "Who is it?" came Wang Jiao's voice, tinged with tears.
Bao Rui lowered his voice and said, "Wang Jiao, open the door quickly; it's me, Bao Rui." As soon as he finished speaking, he heard footsteps running inside, and the door was suddenly flung open. When Wang Jiao saw Bao Rui standing outside, her already tear-streaked eyes filled with more tears. Fearing that Wang Jiao's voice would attract attention, Bao Rui made a shushing gesture with his finger to his lips and quickly slipped into Wang Jiao's room, closing and securing the door behind him.
At that moment, the two lovers who had been separated for more than a year embraced tightly. After a while, Bao Rui softly said to Wang Jiao, "Xiao Jiao, I want to take you away. Are you willing to suffer with me?"
Wang Jiao nodded. "Wherever you go, I will follow you, even if it means begging together."
"Xiao Jiao, then hurry up and pack your things. Third Brother and the others are waiting for us outside the city. If we delay any longer, I fear something might happen."
Wang Jiao understood their situation and nodded in agreement. She turned around to find a few sets of her favorite clothes and some personal items. After making a small bundle, she left a note for her parents on the table and nodded at Bao Rui. When Bao Rui opened the door again, he waved toward Xiao near the courtyard gate. Xiao pulled out an unknown powder from his pocket and sprinkled it around before also scattering some inside Wang Jiao's room.
Using the same method as before, the three of them climbed back over the wall. As they passed through various places, Xiao sprinkled more powder; however, when it landed on the ground, it was nearly indistinguishable from dust.
Once outside the wall, the three mounted two horses and headed straight for South Gate to meet Liu Guanfeng.
