Liu Guanfeng shook his head, "We still need to carry out some probing attacks. Wang the Deputy General." Liu Guanfeng turned his gaze directly towards the Vice Commander of his Reinforced Battalion.
"What orders do you have, General?" Wang the Deputy General immediately stepped forward, waiting for instructions.
"Proceed according to plan and first send out a squad of thirty men."
"Yes," Wang the Deputy General replied and turned to issue commands.
"Third Brother, I also sent someone out initially, and they were assigned to handle it," Iron Bull asked in confusion.
"Those are your soldiers. Wait until you see how my troops perform," Liu Guanfeng said with a smile. Sometimes, Liu Guanfeng felt more like a quack doctor selling fake medicine in the streets.
About two hours later, Liu Guanfeng's squad returned, but they were five men short. The Squad Leader approached Liu Guanfeng: "Report, General. Our squad spent two hours outside and eliminated two enemy team members at the cost of five men."
Liu Guanfeng nodded: "Take your people down to rest."
After all the team members saluted, they turned and left.
Iron Bull was startled: "Third Brother, your soldiers are impressive; they went out and took down two."
Liu Guanfeng laughed heartily: "The best is yet to come. Wang the Deputy General is acting according to plan."
"Yes," Wang the Deputy General turned and left again.
"Plan? Third Brother, what plan do you have?" Iron Bull leaned his large face closer to Liu Guanfeng.
"Can't you keep your mouth shut? Just watch for now. If I reveal the plan, it won't be fun anymore. Wait for the grand gift I have prepared for them."
Hearing Liu Guanfeng's words, Iron Bull could only sit back in confusion.
Throughout the day, Liu Guanfeng's Reinforced Battalion sent out patrols every one to two hours, and each time some soldiers were killed by Special Forces. As time slowly passed into the deep night, Little Black informed Liu Guanfeng that a squad from the Special Forces had arrived outside their camp.
As before, the small team first eliminated the guards at the entrance and took their place. A squad of ten infiltrated the military camp. At this moment, a Patrol Team from the Reinforced Battalion arrived at the entrance. Seeing no major issues with just four guards stationed there, the Patrol Team leader called out, "Password."
The four guards at the entrance were momentarily stunned; by the time they reacted, they were already surrounded by ten members of the Reinforced Battalion. Another Patrol Team also rushed over in response to the commotion and surrounded these four guards. At this point, it was clear that these four were dead. Meanwhile, the ten infiltrating members of Special Forces encountered trouble as well; Liu Guanfeng's soldiers had tied thin strings at each tent entrance with small bells attached to them. One of the Special Forces members charged into a tent without noticing and triggered the bell.
That Special Forces member was quickly surrounded like the four at the entrance. Out of fifteen infiltrators from Special Forces, twelve were captured in traps. The remaining three realized their situation was dire and quickly retreated; due to their speed, they managed to escape before the Patrol Team could block their exit.
Inside the Main Tent, Liu Guanfeng listened to each Squad Leader reporting back with a smile but said nothing. However, these reports widened the eyes of his companions; they hadn’t expected that such a nearly perfect ambush by Special Forces would be thwarted so easily. In total, sixteen team members were captured inside and outside combined. Adding those killed in previous days, only twenty-one out of forty-seven Special Forces members remained—over half had been lost—while Liu Guanfeng's Reinforced Battalion had only suffered around one hundred casualties.
Iron Bull felt delighted seeing such a significant loss for Special Forces: "Third Brother, you're amazing! You didn't even need to lift a finger; your men wiped out half of theirs."
"The matter isn't over yet; why are you so anxious? The real show is just beginning," Liu Guanfeng replied with an air of confidence.
“Third Brother, what other big show do you have? Are you really going to capture everyone from the Special Forces tonight?” Iron Bull asked bluntly.
“Just wait and see, don’t be anxious.”
The group of boys sat in the Main Tent for another hour. By this time, there were no sounds of fighting outside. Just when Bao Rui, Iron Bull, Copper Bull, and the others thought it was time to sleep, a commotion came from Mokou.
“Let’s go out and greet them,” Liu Guanfeng said with a smile as he walked out of the Main Tent.
“Greet them?” Everyone followed Liu Guanfeng in confusion. When they stepped outside, they understood what Liu Guanfeng meant. Standing at the entrance of the Main Tent were Dai and the Ghost Leopard King, and behind them were twenty-one members of the Special Forces, followed by over a hundred soldiers from the Reinforced Battalion.
“What’s going on?” This time it was Bao Rui who was confused; he didn’t understand why Dai was here.
Dai shook his head with a wry smile. “What else could it be? Our Special Forces were completely taken down by Third Brother’s Reinforced Battalion.”
The boys stared wide-eyed at Liu Guanfeng. “Third Brother, how did you do it?” Bao Rui was particularly interested in this matter.
“Alright, let’s talk inside. Wang the Deputy General, prepare some food. Everyone has been busy all night and must be hungry; we can eat while we chat,” Liu Guanfeng called out before turning back into the Main Tent.
Everyone followed Liu Guanfeng inside, while the soldiers busily prepared food.
Once back in the Main Tent, everyone returned to their seats.
“Third Brother, quickly tell us what happened!”
“It’s simple. As you know, I’ve been sending out a patrol squad into the mountains every day for the past couple of days to search for members of the Special Forces. In fact, their real purpose wasn’t to search but to lose their cover.”
"Cover? How do we cover?"
"When my Squad went into the mountains to search, all the members of the Special Forces on the periphery focused their attention on these Squads. They thought such a Squad would be easy prey. However, I took advantage of this and sent another ten-man Squad to stealthily infiltrate the woods for an ambush while this Squad was searching. The others listened to Liu Guanfeng's account as if it were a fairy tale, with Iron Bull and several young men wide-eyed and momentarily speechless.
Liu Guanfeng did not disturb them but savored the roasted meat and fine wine in his hands.

Seeing them lost in thought, Liu Guanfeng spoke again: "I am announcing something now." All eyes turned back to Liu Guanfeng.
"Today here, I plan to integrate my Reinforced Battalion with the Special Forces into forty-seven groups. The current members of the Special Forces will take on the role of group leaders. If they can gain recognition from the Yinming Ghost Leopard in the end, they will follow Dai; if not, they will continue as Special Forces here. At the same time, let Wang the Deputy General teach hand-to-hand combat to the current members of the Special Forces. Dai and Ghost Leopard King will still be the Chief Instructors of this team.
