When Liu Guanfeng arrived at Winter City, it was just dawn, and there was still some time before the city gates opened. However, those who came to sell goods had already gathered at the gate. To conceal his identity, Liu Guanfeng transformed Little Black into a beast smaller than a puppy and placed it on his shoulder.

After the fairy tale with XP ended, Liu Guanfeng quietly bypassed all the city guards and entered the courtyard of Golden Mad Eagle, where fifty guards were stationed.

At nine o'clock, Liu Guanfeng returned to the Golden Mad Eagle courtyard where he was resting. Although it was already dark, the guards were all alert. Soon, Liu Guanfeng had dinner with the guards.
After dinner, Liu Guanfeng called Golden Mad Eagle and the five squad leaders together.
"Listen up, after a day of observation, I found that the defense at the city gate is not very strict. There should be thirty soldiers stationed at the gate, and they change shifts every hour. We will act right after they finish their shift at one o'clock. Our task is to use two squads to deal with those thirty guards at the gate. Squad One and Squad Two will carry out this mission."

"Yes," they responded, and Golden Mad Eagle along with the five squad leaders left the room.
Liu Guanfeng stayed in the room for another hour. At eleven o'clock, he stepped out of the room, finding that only one squad of guards remained in the courtyard; everyone else had left.
Liu Guanfeng stood in the courtyard using his spiritual sense to locate those guards. He was pleased to find that all forty guards who had gone out were not detected by the City Defense Soldiers, and the fastest among them had already found a secure hiding spot. Soon, ten individuals in front of Liu Guanfeng began to move as well; they did not leave together but rather one every five minutes through different exits—some jumped through windows while others climbed over walls.

At twelve twenty, the last ten people found their hiding places. After confirming that all fifty individuals were safe, Liu Guanfeng left the courtyard.
Walking down the street, Liu Guanfeng noticed that it was quite late and, due to the travel restrictions imposed earlier that morning, there were no civilians in sight. Occasionally, he could see a couple of squads from the City Defense Army, but avoiding them was easy for Liu Guanfeng.
He arrived near the East Gate as if he were just strolling around. The guards from the New World noticed his arrival and thought Liu Guanfeng was approaching the city gate. Suddenly, he vanished from their sight, leaving all the guards puzzled about where he had gone.
This only increased their admiration for Liu Guanfeng; disappearing right under their noses showcased an impressive skill of concealment.
Once Liu Guanfeng concealed himself properly, he began communicating with XP: "XP, is everything ready outside?"
"Don't worry, Master. Our people are already prepared outside the gate. I'm currently just over a hundred meters away from the East Gate. We have deployed five thousand soldiers for this operation; the rest are on standby in the barracks and will rush over once they receive our signal."
"We're ready on our end too. I will inform you when the gate opens. Remember to let them enter quickly. We only have fifty people here and cannot hold out for long; it would be troublesome if they manage to close the gate."
