"Yes," Fang Tianlong turned and left the Main Tent.
After breakfast, the Horn sounded throughout the military camp, and everyone got ready. The soldiers going out this time were only the more than eight thousand from the Vanguard Camp, while the other soldiers remained in the camp. Fang Tianlong led these soldiers to the Vanguard Camp, with the front soldiers carrying ladders, behind them a group of soldiers holding shields and sabers, followed by Archers, then infantry, and finally soldiers with long weapons. Watching from the front lines, Bian Dong felt something was off behind him. When he turned around and saw what was happening, he realized it was serious; everything was in chaos. He turned to a nearby Minor General and said, "Go see what’s going on."
Before that Minor General could leave, a Lieutenant came running from the direction of the military camp: "Reporting to General! Our rear has been ambushed by Rebels; the entire granary is on fire!"
"What did you say?" Bian Dong's eyes widened: "Someone come with me; we need to take down that Little Guy who ambushed us! Sound the retreat signal; once I deal with that Little Guy, we'll return to handle these Rebels."
After speaking, Bian Dong led his men straight to his camp, while Cui Zhongyi already knew that Liu Guanfeng's ambush had succeeded. However, his mission was to eliminate the Lu Jiang in front of him, and now was the perfect time: "Lu Jiang, your camp is on fire, haha."
Lu Jiang was feeling quite anxious; he simply could not defeat Cui Zhongyi, and the sound of the gong signaling retreat had already sounded. Yet he was entangled by the enemy and couldn't withdraw. The more he thought about it, the more frightened he became, and the more flustered he got.

Before he could react, Cui Zhongyi struck again; with a swift turn, he swung his iron rod directly at Lu Jiang's head.
With a thud, Lu Jiang's body fell apart, swaying on his mount before collapsing in front of both armies. The mount beneath him fared no better; at the moment Lu Jiang was struck down, Cui Zhongyi's Wind Wolf lunged forward and bit into the mount's throat. Thus, both man and beast met their end at the hands of Cui Zhongyi and Wind Wolf.
As Xiao Ke Village caught fire, Zhang Yuru had already noticed. Seeing Bian Dong attempting to flee, she pointed her Water Piercer at Xiao Ke Village: "Brothers, the enemy is in disarray! Let's take Xiao Ke Village!"
Many warriors only realized that this was all part of Big Leader's plan after Zhang Yuru spoke; it wasn't an oversight on the enemy's part. They then brandished their weapons and urged their mounts forward.
Inside the military camp, Fang Tianlong could no longer contain himself. Seeing the army move, he pointed his hammer: "Brothers, our chance to achieve great deeds has come! Charge!"
With that shout, Fang Tianlong's Deep Sea Crocodile began to move its massive body forward, followed by soldiers brandishing their weapons as they rushed ahead.
The soldiers quickly reached the trenches in front of Xiao Ke Village. These trenches had been dug by Bian Dong upon arrival and were not very wide. The soldiers at the front carrying ladders placed them directly against the wall, allowing those behind to run up them. Facing arrows from above, the archers at the back suppressed the enemy fire.
As a village, Xiao Ke Village did not have strong defenses; its walls were only a little over three meters high. The soldiers at the front quickly reached the base of the wall; they crossed their arms over their stomachs while those with shields stepped onto the hands of their comrades below. The soldiers below pulled upward with all their might, launching one soldier up over the three-meter wall. Soon after, others followed suit using the same method.
At this moment, Bian Dong realized that his situation was dire. However, he still saw an opportunity to escape; there wouldn't be too many attackers coming from behind. He quickly gathered his troops and assigned two Minor Generals to hold off any pursuers while he led the remaining warriors and soldiers toward safety. His thought was that even if he were defeated, he would capture those who ambushed them; perhaps Severe Winter would not blame him then.
With this in mind, Bian Dong quickened his pace. Not many could keep up with him, but he wasn't afraid; he knew that there wouldn't be many attackers based on how few had set fire to things. Thus, Bian Dong felt no fear. Behind him were still over a thousand men closely following him—enough to deal with any ambushers.
Seeing chaos erupt in the front camp, Liu Guanfeng understood that Bian Dong must be coming for him. In no time at all, he spotted someone leading an army toward him. Liu Guanfeng smiled slightly at Bian Dong and said to his soldiers behind him: "Brothers, a large enemy force is coming! We retreat!"
After saying this, Liu Guanfeng began to run back; he was the last one out and instructed his soldiers to speed up as they fled. Liu Guanfeng was responsible for luring Bian Dong away while Bian Dong could only see Liu Guanfeng's back. Pointing at Liu Guanfeng, Bian Dong shouted: "Thief! Don't run! I'll tear you apart!"
The chase ensued as eleven men ran for their lives ahead while thousands pursued them desperately from behind. It wasn't until nearly noon that Liu Guanfeng led his group to a pre-prepared ambush site.
Liu Guanfeng urged his men to quicken their pace; after covering some distance, he held Little Black in place while gripping Fang Tian Hua Ji in his hand and standing in the center with ten soldiers behind him drawing their bows taut.
Once everything was prepared, Bian Dong led his men to the ambush site. At that moment, he saw Liu Guanfeng standing firm and finally brought his Mount to a halt. Bian Dong then took out his Great Axe, swung it to create a flourish, and slung it over his back. Pointing at Liu Guanfeng with his left hand, he asked, "Who are you, and why did you ambush our camp?"
Liu Guanfeng smiled slightly and replied, "Who am I? I am the President of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce, Liu Xin. As for why I ambushed you, it's simply a matter of loyalty to my side. I've answered your questions; is there anything else?"
"You dare speak so boldly when death is imminent? Liu Xin, prepare to pay with your life!" Bian Dong exclaimed as he urged his Mount forward. Just then, shouts of battle echoed from the mountains on either side of the path, followed by stones and wooden debris of various sizes being hurled down.
These stones and logs had been prepared by the forty soldiers and their Mounts over the course of an entire night, and their quantity was quite considerable. Seeing this situation, Bian Dong felt a deep sense of frustration; he never expected to be ambushed twice in a row. The soldiers on the road were thrown into chaos as they were struck down.
After quickly regaining his composure, Bian Dong devised a strategy: capture the leader to subdue the thieves. The Merchant Guild's President Liu Xin was undoubtedly the leader of these attackers. If he could take him down, everything else would fall into place. With this thought in mind, Bian Dong pulled on his Mount and called out to several Minor Generals beside him, "Charge forward and capture Liu Xin!"
With that, Bian Dong led a few Minor Generals and his personal guards into the fray. Seeing someone charge at them, Liu Guanfeng's guards immediately fired arrows without hesitation. Bian Dong's soldiers barely had time to assess the situation before arrows struck them down; even one Minor General fell victim to the onslaught.
In the end, only Bian Dong and six Minor Generals made it through. Bian Dong swung his Great Axe directly at Liu Guanfeng while simultaneously shouting with his left hand raised, "You all go deal with those little rabbits!"
"Understood." The six Minor Generals split up and rushed towards Liu Guanfeng's guards. Liu Guanfeng was not worried about their safety; after a battle two days prior, he understood the capabilities of those Minor Generals well enough to know that even if his guards couldn't win, they could still protect themselves.
Thus, Liu Guanfeng lightly nudged Little Black with his knee and brandished his Fang Tian Hua Ji as he advanced. The soldiers behind him also surged forward; two of the best fighters each faced off against a Minor General while the remaining two quickly paired up against another.
Meanwhile, the Rolling Logs and Stones from above had been exhausted. Soldiers on both sides of the mountain immediately mounted their steeds and took alternate routes into the narrow path. The forty guards used the cover of smoke to rush in; those who found survivors delivered a finishing blow while those who encountered resistance quickly surrounded and eliminated them.
Although only forty men charged in, the earlier barrage of Rolling Logs and Stones had left the soldiers below disoriented. Moreover, with pursuers coming from behind, despite having over a thousand men, they were unable to mount any effective resistance.
