Just when Liu Guanfeng thought everything was fine, two Iron Arm Mantises flew in from behind him. He saw these two Iron Arm Mantises wielding greatswords, charging straight for Liu Guanfeng's right arm. Liu Guanfeng quickly swung his iron halberd back, and the mantis aiming for his right arm collided with the crescent blade of the halberd, getting sliced in half. The mantis that was heading for Liu Guanfeng's head flew over him just as he lowered his head.
The mantis that flew past landed on the weeds ahead. At this moment, Liu Guanfeng noticed that another mantis was standing on the weeds where the previous one had landed, and around him lay seven or eight Iron Arm Mantises of various sizes.
All the Iron Arm Mantises lying in the grass now focused their attention on Liu Guanfeng. He remained vigilant, watching the mantises in front of him as they spread their greatswords, pointing the blades at him. The wings of the mantises opened wide as they flew toward Liu Guanfeng.
Liu Guanfeng swung his Twin Iron Halberds, creating a solid barrier around himself. He heard a series of clashing sounds as seven or eight Iron Arm Mantises fell at his feet.
After dealing with these Iron Arm Mantises, Liu Guanfeng continued to move forward. Although the Iron Arm Mantises did not pose a significant threat to him, this was only the first level; he wondered what awaited him on the second level and beyond.
Liu Guanfeng cautiously advanced while fully opening his spiritual sense. He had no idea how the Four Sacred Beasts had created this Demon Tomb, but here his spiritual sense could only cover about five meters.
Suddenly, Liu Guanfeng spotted a snake in the nearby bushes. This snake was a Golden Ring Snake, highly venomous and a Fourth Rank magical beast. When Liu Guanfeng's spiritual sense swept over it, the Golden Ring Snake noticed him as well.
The Golden Ring Snake immediately twisted its body, over a meter long, and quickly slithered toward Liu Guanfeng, its mouth continuously spitting venom. When it reached Liu Guanfeng, it did not pause at all and lunged to bite him. Liu Guanfeng brought down his iron halberd to strike it.
After walking over two hundred meters, Liu Guanfeng had already collected the corpses of more than ten different venomous snakes in his Cosmic Bag. These snakes had attempted to ambush him. Liu Guanfeng had always preferred snake meat; although he had never eaten it in modern society due to wildlife protection laws, things were different here—such delicacies should not be wasted.
Liu Guanfeng understood that within this first level, there were no magical beasts that could threaten him; most were Fourth Rank beasts. However, he could not afford to be too careless; despite their low rank, there were simply too many of them. Each time he encountered magical beasts, there were at least four or five and sometimes even more than ten.
However, Liu Guanfeng found it puzzling that even usually gentle herbivorous magical beasts had become unusually aggressive here. Not long ago, he had seen a group of Four-Horned Goats by a small river. Normally timid herbivores, these seven or eight Four-Horned Goats did not flee upon seeing Liu Guanfeng; instead, they charged at him together.
Caught off guard, Liu Guanfeng was knocked by one of the Four-Horned Goats. Since then, he had been prepared for battle at all times. Fortunately for him, he could usually rely on his cultivation to rest; otherwise, he might not have had any time to sleep at all.

The second floor mainly housed Fifth Tier magical beasts such as Swamp Crocodiles, Swamp Pythons, and Swamp Blood Eagles. The only lower-tier beast was the Third Tier Swamp Mosquito. However, these Swamp Mosquitoes appeared in swarms of hundreds and were also poisonous; their venom wasn't very potent, but a single bite could cause temporary unconsciousness.
Fortunately, due to the skin reforging from Iron Skin Soup, these mosquitoes couldn't bite him. However, their sheer numbers kept Liu Guanfeng busy for quite some time.
While in the swamp, Liu Guanfeng dared not delay even for a moment. After evading a series of frenzied beast attacks, it took him five days to find the stairs leading to the Third Layer. He used his fastest speed to ascend and reached the Third Layer.
The Third Layer was primarily inhabited by Sixth Tier magical beasts. With the increase in beast levels, their numbers had significantly decreased. Additionally, the Third Layer featured a forested terrain where most magical beasts moved in groups of two or three. Although the beasts' levels were higher here, they still posed little problem for Liu Guanfeng.
Liu Guanfeng paid particular attention to packs of wolves. In the forest, their mobility was somewhat limited, but their numbers were still considerable; every time he encountered a pack, there were over thirty wolves.
Although these Sixth Tier beasts couldn't breach Liu Guanfeng's defenses, being bitten a couple of times was certainly uncomfortable.
In this forest terrain, Liu Guanfeng reached the Fourth Layer in just three days. When he arrived at the Fourth Layer and tried to understand what was happening, an immense pressure enveloped him tightly.
When Liu Guanfeng regained his composure and looked around, he couldn't help but admire the abilities of the Four Sacred Beasts even more. Before him lay a vast expanse of water; as he swam upward, he realized that the entire Fourth Layer was essentially an ocean.
At that moment, several heads were watching him intently. Upon closer inspection, Liu Guanfeng saw that they were several Tiger Sharks. As soon as these Tiger Sharks locked onto Liu Guanfeng, they immediately swam toward him.
Liu Guanfeng immediately took hold of the Twin Iron Halberds without hesitation. At that moment, several Tiger Sharks swam over, and Liu Guanfeng sank to the bottom of the sea. It was then that he realized he was surrounded by six Tiger Sharks.
The six Tiger Sharks quietly watched Liu Guanfeng. Suddenly, two of them charged at him. Liu Guanfeng swiftly maneuvered his body to evade their attacks. Just then, the other four Tiger Sharks also rushed towards him one after another.
As they approached, the Tiger Sharks opened their mouths, shooting jets of water from their mouths.
Although he couldn't see the water jets, Liu Guanfeng could still sense the movement of the water flow. He narrowly dodged four jets of water just as the four Tiger Sharks closed in on him.
Liu Guanfeng swung his Twin Iron Halberds, using each halberd to block one Tiger Shark. He kicked one of the approaching Tiger Sharks in the head with his feet, propelling himself upward to evade an attack from a Shark behind him.
After dodging the attacks from four Tiger Sharks, the first one that had attacked returned for another strike. Liu Guanfeng continued to evade and block the attacks from all six Tiger Sharks.
This time, Liu Guanfeng was more cautious. Seventh Tier magical beasts could easily break his skin, and wounds were difficult to heal in seawater. Therefore, he remained extremely careful while facing these six Tiger Sharks.
Fortunately, Liu Guanfeng was quite skilled underwater, so despite the danger, he managed to avoid being harmed by the Tiger Sharks.
After dealing with a few of them, Liu Guanfeng quickly left the area because he knew there were many more bloodthirsty magical beasts like Tiger Sharks in this sea. If he didn't leave quickly, he could easily be surrounded by other beasts, making it difficult for him to escape later.
Within twenty minutes of Liu Guanfeng's departure, a large number of sea beasts swam toward the spot where he had fought the Tiger Sharks. The six Tiger Sharks were quickly devoured by these bloodthirsty creatures.
These beasts followed Liu Guanfeng for quite a distance due to the blood of the Tiger Sharks on him. Fortunately, after an hour of swimming in the sea, all traces of blood were washed away by the seawater; otherwise, he would have been in great danger.
After swimming for over an hour without any Sea Beasts following him, Liu Guanfeng floated to the surface and took out some dried food from his Cosmic Bag. After taking a quick bite, he began searching for a passage to the next level.
In this fourth layer, the most challenging aspect is the sense of direction. There are no reference points over the vast ocean, and within this Demon Tomb, there is no sun; the source of light is beyond his comprehension.
Moreover, the greatest danger in the ocean does not lie above the surface but below it. Liu Guanfeng not only needs to search for a way up through the waves but also must constantly be aware of the dangers lurking beneath.
Liu Guanfeng has been drifting aimlessly on the endless sea for five or six days. During these days, he has been continuously swimming and fighting, even during his rest periods, he is constantly disturbed.
In the Sea, various Sea Beasts are countless, and almost no place is safe. Since Liu Guanfeng arrived at the fourth layer, he has hardly had a moment of proper rest.
One day, after practicing for less than an hour, he was suddenly interrupted by a beast. After dealing with three awakened Sea Beasts, he prepared to surface for some fresh air. Just as he emerged from the water, he noticed dark clouds rolling in a few kilometers away, with frequent flashes of lightning striking down from them. The intensity of the lightning was comparable to when he and Little Black consumed the Purple Gold Thunderfruit on Purgatory Island.
Liu Guanfeng found this situation quite strange; why would dark clouds suddenly appear over this ocean, accompanied by such dense lightning? Could it be a staircase leading to a lower layer? This was Liu Guanfeng's first thought. With that in mind, he set his direction and swam vigorously.
Initially, Liu Guanfeng estimated it would take him about an hour to reach the clouds, but unexpectedly, after swimming for over three hours, he finally spotted a small island ahead. In the center of the island were steps leading straight up into the sky. Liu Guanfeng knew he was right; these steps led to a lower layer.
He continued swimming forward as the island grew larger. At this point, Liu Guanfeng could see that the island's diameter was about ten kilometers. The entire island had only a few large trees and a patch of green grass below, though many areas had already been scorched black by lightning strikes.
Beneath the steps of the small island lay a beast unlike any Liu Guanfeng had ever seen before. This creature had a fish-like tail and a body resembling that of a crocodile, supported by four legs as thick as those of a rhinoceros. Below its thighs were webbed feet like those of a duck. The beast had a dragon's head adorned with six sword-like protrusions on top, with lightning occasionally flashing across them.
Liu Guanfeng observed this creature in the Sea for quite some time but could not figure out what kind of beast it was. He had seen many beasts before, but this one was entirely new to him; no matter how hard he tried to think, he couldn't understand it. However, since the opponent was already standing there, passing through without confrontation was out of the question; unlike in the two lower layers where he could trick the guarding Mutated Beasts with minor tactics.
This beast was over twenty meters tall and rested right at the entrance of the stairs. Thus, Liu Guanfeng had no choice but to confront it. After steadying himself, he swam towards the small island.
