Not long after, many Hellhounds emerged from a rock, approximately ten in number. Among these ten Hellhounds, six looked very similar to XP, except they were black while XP was white. The other four resembled Blackie, indicating they were likely ordinary Hellhounds.
The ten Hellhounds approached Liu Guanfeng and automatically divided into two rows. Then, another creature resembling XP, a White Two-Headed Hellhound, walked out from the rocky cave. This Hellhound was significantly taller and more imposing than the previous ten.
It seemed that this one was the leader among the Hellhounds.
As Liu Guanfeng had imagined, when this white Two-Headed Hellhound appeared, all the Hellhounds lay down on the ground to pay their respects. The Hellhound strode up to Liu Guanfeng and said, "Welcome, guests from afar."
"Greetings, Leader."
At this moment, XP wobbled over. After playing around with Blackie and Black Egg, XP reverted to its original form to avoid standing out too much—a small white dog. Spending time with Liu Guanfeng had made this form habitual for XP.
XP looked up at the leader and asked, "Do you remember me, Leader?"
The sight of a small white dog speaking startled the leader: "You? You look familiar. Oh right! I remember now; you are White Pup! Your parents helped you escape outside. What brings you back all of a sudden?"
"I have come back with my master because I need your assistance."
"Assistance? Tell me what it is. You are still one of our Hellhounds here, even though you are now a human's mount. I will do my best to help you with anything."
"Well, Leader, I would like to request a Hellfire Heartstone from you."
"Hmm? A Hellfire Heartstone? Are you saying that you came here for the Hellfire Heartstone?"
"Yes, Leader."
"If you want other items, I might give them to you as a gesture of goodwill towards the parents of White Pup. However, since you are asking for the Hellfire Heartstone, I'm afraid that's not going to happen. You should leave."
"Chief, can't you make an exception? We really need the Hellfire Heartstone."
At this moment, the chief turned his gaze to xp: "White Pup, we won't hold it against you for going out to train; I won't blame you for becoming a human's Mount. But bringing a human here to demand the Hellfire Heartstone? Do you know what this Hellfire Heartstone means to us Hellhounds?"
"I certainly understand that. It is because of the Hellfire Heartstone that we Hellhounds can become rulers in this Underworld."
"Knowing that, you still want to bring humans here? If it weren't for your deceased parents, I would have killed you all on the spot."
"Chief, what are you saying? My parents are dead?" xp looked at the chief in disbelief.
"Yes, over thirty years ago, those two black dragons appeared in our territory. Your parents sacrificed themselves to block their attacks. When we finally drove the black dragons away, we found your parents were already on the brink of death. Before they died, they told me to take good care of you when I saw you again. But who would have thought that your return would be to ask for the Hellfire Heartstone? Even if your parents loved you dearly, they wouldn't agree to such a request."
"Chief, did you take revenge for my parents?"
"After your parents died, I led three hundred adult Hellhounds to avenge them. Unfortunately, we were not strong enough and had to retreat. That battle also left over thirty warriors injured."
"Thank you, Chief, for avenging my parents. I will handle this matter myself. But could you please make an exception and give us a piece of the Hellfire Heartstone?"
"No." The chief's response was very firm.
"Since you refuse, then I challenge you, Chief."
"What did you say? You want to challenge me?"
"That's right. Since you won't give it to me, I'll defeat you and become the clan leader. That way, I can make my own decisions."
"Haha, White Pup. I really didn't see that your courage has grown so much over these years outside, daring to challenge me. Very well, as a sign of respect for your bravery, I accept your challenge."
In the Hellhound clan, challenging the leader earns admiration from everyone because the leader is the strongest in the tribe. Therefore, it takes immense courage to challenge the leader; if things go wrong, one could lose their life. Although many Hellhounds admire those who challenge the leader, not many actually dare to do so.
Once XP decided to challenge the leader, he immediately garnered the attention of nearly all the Hellhounds. By the time XP and the leader arrived at the largest open area, thousands of Hellhounds of all sizes had gathered around, filling the space completely.
Accompanied by Liu Guanfeng and Little Black, XP reached one end of the open area while the leader stood on the opposite side with ten elders beside him. The elders then positioned themselves between the two. At this moment, one elder stepped forward: "Today, our clan's White Pup has returned home after traveling outside and has proposed a challenge to the leader. We are all here to witness this event; please have the leader and White Pup step into the center."
Soon, both the leader and XP stood in the center of the arena, and all surrounding Hellhounds erupted in deafening howls.
"Both sides prepare."
At the elder's command, both the leader and XP readied themselves. The leader's muscles immediately bulged with power. Liu Guanfeng nodded repeatedly: "As expected of the leader; his strength is truly extraordinary."
Little Black nodded in agreement but added a very pertinent remark: "Although his strength is impressive, he is still a Ninth Tier beast, while XP is a genuine Divine Knight."
Following this, XP began to transform. In an instant, he grew to match the size of the leader. Just as he completed this transformation, two smaller heads sprouted from either side of his main head, and his tail split into three.
XP then said to the leader: "Leader, I am ready."
At this moment, both the elder and the leader were stunned; however, other Hellhounds were unaware of what was happening and continued to shout loudly.
"Silence!" The leader shouted with all his might. Suddenly, there was complete silence among the rocky formations; all Hellhounds were left wondering what had just occurred.
The once strong muscles of the Patriarch retracted back into his body, and the ten elders stood behind him. The subsequent actions left everyone and the Hellhounds utterly astonished.
The eleven most authoritative Hellhounds all lay down on the ground and shouted from the Patriarch's mouth, "We pay our respects to the Patriarch."
At this moment, XP was also taken aback: "Patriarch, we haven't fought yet, why are you calling me Patriarch?"
"Do you know why there are no Tenth Rank beasts among our Hellhounds?"
XP shook all three of his heads simultaneously:
"That's because of your absence. Your appearance today will break our Hellhounds' nearly thousand-year Forbidden Spell."
"Why do I not know any of this?"
"The matters inside can only be known by past Patriarchs and elders."
"I still don't understand."
"As long as you accept the inheritance from our Hellhounds, that will suffice."
"Then how can I accept the inheritance?"
"Please follow me, Patriarch. You five stay here and take good care of the Patriarch's master." After giving the order, the Former Patriarch led XP away, while the five remaining elders, Liu Guanfeng and Little Black, brought him to a cave. Although this cave was not particularly clean, there was plenty of straw inside, so Liu Guanfeng could sleep comfortably enough; after all, one shouldn't expect too much from a place where dogs reside.
"Elder, how long does it take for XP to accept the inheritance?"
"Xp, are you referring to the clan leader? I'm not sure about that; it depends on the clan leader's physical condition. If it's good, it's likely that all the inheritance will be passed down. In that case, our tribe could break free from the Forbidden Spell."
"Elder, may I ask what kind of Forbidden Spell your race has been subjected to?"

Liu Guanfeng did not pursue the matter further, as the elder did not have much information. He decided to wait until Xp returned to ask more questions. Not long after, several Hellhounds walked in from outside, each carrying two blue fruits in their mouths. They placed the fruits on a pile of grass before leaving.
The Hellhound Elder said to Liu Guanfeng, "Distant guests, these fruits are called Cooling Fruits. They are a specialty of our region; you might as well try them. After eating, you will feel more comfortable."
"Thank you very much, Elder."
"You two can rest here for now. If you need anything, just call for me."
"Thank you for your trouble, Elder."
The Hellhound Elder nodded at Liu Guanfeng and then left the cave. Liu Guanfeng took one Cooling Fruit and tossed it to Little Black, who immediately bit into it and started eating. Liu Guanfeng felt uncomfortable eating something that had been in a dog's mouth, so he wiped the Cooling Fruit vigorously and then rinsed it with clean water before eating it.
Although the fruit was blue, it was very sweet once bitten into, and its flesh was quite crisp, providing a satisfying texture. After swallowing the fruit flesh, he felt a refreshing sensation throughout his body, even better than ice cream.
Just as Liu Guanfeng closed his eyes to enjoy this rare moment of coolness, he felt something furry brush against his leg. Opening his eyes, he saw a small black dog nuzzling its little head against his calf.
Liu Guanfeng had always loved small dogs since he was young, and seeing this little dog made him happy as he picked it up. At that moment, the little dog looked at Liu Guanfeng with eager eyes, gazing at the Cooling Fruit placed beside him.
"Do you want to eat this?" Liu Guanfeng asked as he waved the Cooling Fruit in his hand.
The little dog nodded vigorously, so Liu Guanfeng slowly brought the Cooling Fruit to the dog's mouth. After gently licking it, the little dog began to bite and eat.
However, just after a few bites, a bark came from outside, followed by the elder's voice: "Heitan, what are you barking about? Don't you know this is the residence of the Noble Guests?"
Then there was another round of barking from outside.
"You say your son is missing, and you suspect he ran into the Noble Guests' residence?"
Hearing the elder's words, Liu Guanfeng looked at the greedy little dog in his arms and smiled, asking, "Is your dad here looking for you? You really are quite greedy." After saying that, Liu Guanfeng carried the little Little Guy out of the cave.
At that moment, the elder was talking to a Two-Headed Hellhound. When the Hellhound saw the precious little dog in Liu Guanfeng's hands, it let out a couple of low growls. The little dog then shook its body vigorously and jumped out of Liu Guanfeng's arms, running over to the Hellhound while keeping its eyes on the Cooling Fruit in Liu Guanfeng's hand.
Liu Guanfeng smiled and offered the Cooling Fruit to the little dog. The little dog grabbed the Cooling Fruit and wagged its tail excitedly at Liu Guanfeng.
The elder said to Liu Guanfeng, "I apologize for letting this little Little Guy disturb the Noble Guests' rest."
"It's no trouble at all; I really like him. What's his name?"
"His name is Blackmouth."
"Goodbye, Blackmouth. Don't be too naughty in the future." After smiling at Blackmouth, Liu Guanfeng returned to his cave.
