With Liu Guanfeng's command, the Eleven Elders immediately formed a circle, maintaining equal spacing between them. The eleven Hellhounds lay down simultaneously, preparing to face the thunder tribulation.
"xp, go tell your people to stay away from here, especially to keep an eye on their young ones. Then you and your senior brother should guard the entrance."
"I understand, Master." xp hurriedly conveyed the necessary instructions without any delay and then headed straight for the entrance to the Three Layers with Little Black to fend off the two black dragons.
Liu Guanfeng spent a day teaching the Eleven Elders how to sense each other's progress. Gradually, their breathing, energy gathering, and absorption synchronized. At this point, Liu Guanfeng felt that the timing was right and ordered everyone to initiate their advancement and summon the heavenly thunder.
Thus, the Eleven Elders began to attract the heavenly thunder simultaneously. After about three hours, small thunderclouds gathered above their heads. Due to distance, there was space between these eleven thunderclouds; each Hellhound had one directly above it, and these clouds were nearly equal in size. Liu Guanfeng carefully sensed the energy fluctuations of these clouds. After another two hours, he felt that the thunderclouds had gathered sufficiently. He then moved to the center and opened his Chaos Shield, enveloping all the elders within his protective barrier.
At that moment, something strange happened: after entering the shield, the thunderclouds above the Eleven Elders magically connected and formed a ring. Once they formed a ring, the energy within the clouds began to balance out while simultaneously thickening and lowering in height.
Liu Guanfeng felt pleased by this change in the thunderclouds; he knew he would successfully help these eleven elders. He immediately recited the Lightning Summoning Technique to forcibly draw down the heavenly thunder. With a resounding crash, eleven bolts of heavenly thunder struck fiercely against Liu Guanfeng's shield. He used his Fighting Qi to share one-tenth of that energy with the Eleven Elders while absorbing the rest into his body.
The reason Liu Guanfeng shared energy with those elders was that although overcoming the thunder tribulation was challenging, it served a purpose: these bolts could improve the physical constitution and internal structure of magical beasts. If Liu Guanfeng absorbed all of it himself, even if the Eleven Elders successfully advanced, they would struggle to improve further since their physical constitutions were far inferior to those of modified Divine Beasts.
Just as Liu Guanfeng finished absorbing the first bolt of heavenly thunder, the second one came crashing down unexpectedly fast. Liu Guanfeng hadn't anticipated its speed and hurriedly guided it with his Fighting Qi but was still too late; he only managed to absorb seventy percent of it. Perhaps due to anger directed at this outsider, before Liu Guanfeng could stabilize his absorption of the second bolt, a third, fourth, and fifth bolt fell one after another.
This sudden influx left Liu Guanfeng flustered; despite his best efforts, he couldn't absorb everything. Consequently, the fourth bolt pierced through his shield and struck the Eleven Elders below. All eleven elders let out a cry as blood trickled from their mouths; it seemed that this bolt had come down with tremendous force.
Fortunately, all these Hellhounds possess profound abilities. Although they sustained some minor injuries, it did not affect the upcoming Thunderstorm.
After narrowly passing through three consecutive strikes, the Thunderstorm became much more orderly. Each bolt of lightning was followed by a pause, allowing Liu Guanfeng and the Eleven Elders to catch their breath. When the final bolt struck, the dark clouds in the sky finally dispersed. Liu Guanfeng had also stored a significant amount of Thunder Energy within his body. Thankfully, Liu Guanfeng's body had an exceptionally strong absorption capacity, so after the ninth bolt of lightning, he had absorbed almost all the energy collected beforehand.
However, the eleven elders did not possess Liu Guanfeng's extraordinary physique. After enduring the Thunderstorm, they all lay on the ground motionless. Although their bodies had been restored after the transformation from the lightning, this Thunderstorm had drained all their strength.
Once the other Hellhounds returned all Eleven Elders to their respective caves, Liu Guanfeng took half a day to fully absorb all the Thunder Energy before calling upon ten more Hellhounds to begin coordinating their efforts.
After a day of rest and two days of training, the Eleven Elders had stabilized their strength. At that moment, the eleven Hellhound Elders rushed towards the entrance to the Three Layers. They needed to replace Little Black because it would be impossible for Liu Guanfeng to advance two hundred Hellhounds alone within a month.
Upon returning to the rocky area, Little Black immediately organized a group of Hellhounds waiting for advancement. Due to Little Black's strong abilities, it managed to gather fifteen Hellhounds at once.
Thus, with the combined efforts of Liu Guanfeng and Little Black, batches of Hellhounds successfully advanced to Divine Beast Level. Fortunately, both Liu Guanfeng and Little Black were powerful; after each batch advanced, Liu Guanfeng only needed half a day to recover to peak condition, while Little Black was even more extraordinary, only needing half a day of rest after three waves.
Through their joint efforts over forty days, they finally helped two hundred and ten Hellhounds advance to Divine Knight level. Following this advancement of the Hellhound group, there was a tremendous change in the strength of the Hellhound race.
After receiving notification, xp returned to the rocky area. Upon returning, xp informed Liu Guanfeng that during these forty days, two black dragons had attempted several times to break through and cause destruction but were repelled by xp along with the newly advanced Divine Knight Hellhounds.
During these forty days, Liu Guanfeng absorbed a vast amount of energy. He felt it was time to properly digest this energy since rapid absorption without release could harm his body. Therefore, Liu Guanfeng said to xp, "Xp, have those newly advanced Hellhounds take turns guarding the entrance to Three Layers. I'm worried that once those two black dragons learn about so many Hellhounds advancing to Divine Knight level, they might try to escape. Meanwhile, I need some time to digest all this energy."
"Master, don't worry. I've already stationed twenty Divine Knight Hellhounds at the cave entrance for defense. No matter what happens, those two won't escape from this Underworld. You should rest now; I and Big Brother will guard for you."
