Chu Yuzhu's face changed in shock as she stared intently at Lu Chen. In that moment, she felt an inexplicable fear; it was as if Lu Chen was about to devour her whole.
"Lu Chen, don't do anything reckless," Chu Yuzhu said, looking at him.
"Reckless?" Lu Chen examined Chu Yuzhu's delicate figure and then chuckled, shaking his head. "You've misunderstood my intentions. I want to seriously tell you that from now on, we are enemies. If you're smart, you should give up on your ambitions in the Central Plains and focus on guarding your borders. That way, you can still keep your title. Otherwise, you know the consequences."
"Impossible!"
Chu Yuzhu immediately rejected Lu Chen's suggestion. For her to abandon her plans for the Central Plains was out of the question; the Chu Family had prepared for this for many years, and now was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that she could not let slip away.
"The era of competition is beyond your imagination. I've said what I needed to say; believe it or not, it's up to you."
With that, Lu Chen turned around and shot a glare at Huang Jiao nearby, causing her to tremble and step back in fear.

Just as he was about to exit the forest, he heard a rustling sound from the bushes nearby that caught his attention.

Lu Chen sneered coldly, saying, "I thought it was something serious. Do you really think the three of you can come here to cause trouble?"
His tone was filled with disdain. In the past, if he had encountered experts like Three Poisons Wanderer, he would have avoided them at all costs and fled immediately. But now it was different; he felt no fear towards these three.
"Lu Chen, help me!"
Suddenly, Chu Yuzhu, who was being held by Lu Chanchu, called out weakly, her tone pitiful. It turned out that Three Poisons Wanderer had taken Chu Yuzhu hostage to threaten Lu Chen.
"You Three Poisons Wanderer really don't know your place. Do you think you can threaten me with Chu Yuzhu?" Lu Chen smirked. It was clear that they had picked the wrong person to threaten.
"Stop talking nonsense! Hand over Centipede Brother's Flesh, and my green one, or I'll ruin her. At that point, we Three Poisons Wanderer will strike together, and you won't be able to escape either," Lu Chanchu said sternly to Lu Chen.
Lu Chen blinked and thought to himself: "So the Three Poisons Wanderer is here for Zhao Centipede's Flesh, and the 'green' mentioned by Lu Chanchu must refer to that green Golden Toad I just caught."
"Wait!" Lu Chen interrupted Lu Chanchu. He analyzed the situation and understood the main purpose of their visit. To be honest, for him, Chu Yuzhu was not particularly valuable; he could easily return Zhao Centipede's Flesh.
In his mind, returning Zhao Centipede's Flesh was only right; keeping it would only create more enemies for him. Returning it would provide a way out for himself and resolve any animosity with the Three Poisons Wanderer. Plus, it would also serve as a favor for Chu Yuzhu.
However, as for the 'green', since the Ten-Thousand Poisons Golden Toad hadn't killed it, it indicated that the toad was interested in it. Naturally, Lu Chen should facilitate this good fortune. "Hmph, you cunning little rascal, I won't believe your words. Hand over my Flesh first, or there's nothing more to discuss," Zhao Centipede replied, his face twisted in anger.
"I doubt the three of you would dare to play tricks. I can release Zhao Centipede's Flesh first, but then you must release the Korean Princess. That should settle things, right?"
Lu Chen spoke confidently, thinking that releasing Zhao Centipede's Flesh was no big deal; he completely disregarded the Three Poisons Wanderer. If they dared to betray him later, he would have the chance to eliminate all three of them. Even if word spread through the martial world, Lu Chen would have Justifiable Cause and wouldn't be subject to criticism.
The Three Poisons Wanderer exchanged glances and felt it was acceptable, so they nodded in agreement with Lu Chen.
With that thought, Lu Chen summoned Zhao Centipede's Flesh from the Jun Bell. A flash of golden light appeared as a figure flew out from the Jun Bell and landed on the grass outside.
Zhao Centipede's eyes widened as he soared into the air, jumping in front of his Flesh. His Yin Spirit returned to its place, and he stood up laughing heartily.
"Lu Chen, you are too trusting of others."
Just then, after Lu Chen released Zhao Centipede's Flesh, Chu Yuzhu easily broke free from Lu Chanchu's grasp and took a couple of steps forward to speak to Lu Chen.
Lu Chen was immediately taken aback as he saw Chu Yuzhu and Huang Jiao casually walking around in front of the Three Poisons Wanderer, looking nothing like captives. Suddenly, Lu Chen's expression changed as he realized what was happening.
It turned out that Chu Yuzhu had already colluded with the Three Poisons Wanderer. They knew it would be impossible for Lu Chen to simply hand over Zhao Centipede's Flesh, so they devised this plan. They made Chu Yuzhu pretend to be a hostage and then threaten Lu Chen to gain his sympathy—a cunning scheme!
"So you were in cahoots all along?" Lu Chen narrowed his eyes at Chu Yuzhu and spoke calmly.
"That's right. Although the Three Poisons Wanderer is part of the Qi Kingdom faction, there are times when we can join forces, like now. Lu Chen, your fortune makes others envious but cannot be used by us; therefore, we have no choice but to eliminate you to avoid becoming hindered in the future."
Chu Yuzhu spoke each word deliberately; in an instant, her tone became mature as if she had transformed into a second Crimson Lotus Princess—deeply strategic and exceptionally wise.
"You little rascal will meet your end today; didn't see this coming, did you? Hehe."
Zhao Centipede stood ten steps away from Lu Chen with his hands behind his back and a smug grin on his face as he looked at Lu Chen.
"Hmph," Lu Chen snorted coldly, his face slightly pale. "The Three Poisons Wanderer truly is nothing but trouble. You dare to call me cunning? You are the real hypocrites, the true deceitful and despicable ones."
"Hahaha, it's too late for anything now, you mixed-breed. This place will be your grave; what else do you have?" Zhao Centipede said to Lu Chen.
Lu Chen took a deep breath, pondering for a moment before replying, "Do you really think you can keep me here? That would be a foolish dream."
"Are you really that confident?" Zhao Centipede asked loudly.
"Centipede Brother, my green seems to still be on him," Lu Chanchu interjected from the side.
Zhao Centipede frowned, paused for a moment, then waved his hand dismissively. "Toad Junior, don't worry. I will take care of this for you. Now that I've reclaimed my Flesh, there’s nothing left to fear. Once we capture this brat, we can settle the score with him slowly."
The Three Poisons Wanderer nodded in agreement. All three of them harbored hatred towards Lu Chen and could not coexist peacefully.
On Lu Chen's side, he began to formulate his thoughts. The Three Poisons Wanderer had betrayed him and colluded with Chu Yuzhu to gain his sympathy, tricking Zhao Centipede out of his Flesh—despicable and lowly actions that would be scorned by others.
Now he had even more reason to directly take away Lu Chanchu's green. After all, they were the ones who broke their promise first. Even if word got out, everyone would see clearly and would not protect such unreasonable people.
