Yuanmo Laozu unleashed the transformation of the primordial spirit, aptly named "transformation" due to its profound nature, which occurs in the blink of an eye. Although the duration is brief, it can cause significant losses to the enemy.
However, this time, both Demon Sculptor and Minotaur were truly prepared. They coordinated perfectly, striking with precision, effectively forming a situation that countered Yuanmo Laozu.
As soon as Yuanmo Laozu completed the transformation, his true form vanished from the void In the Sky, leaving no trace. This startled Minotaur, who wielded a large cleaver, causing him to exhale sharply several times through his nostrils.
Demon Sculptor rapidly gathered information from the surroundings, quickly relaying his findings to Minotaur.
In an instant, Minotaur leaped high into the air, propelling himself to a higher vantage point while raising his thick-backed cleaver. The blade radiated a menacing aura, violently tearing through the air with an overwhelming force.
With a sound of "Zhi," a Taoist Sect frame appeared around Minotaur, and he suddenly vanished from his original position. When he reappeared, he was already three thousand steps away.
A Taoist Sect frame emerged in the void In the Sky, and then Minotaur stepped out of it without warning, as if opening a door to another realm. His large blade remained poised for a strike.
In a flash, the thick-backed cleaver swung down towards what seemed like empty space. However, just as the cleaver halted, an anomaly occurred.
Yuanmo Laozu suddenly coalesced at the spot where the cleaver struck. After taking a hit, he swiftly began to split apart again and vanished from sight.
"Brother Bullhead, the old monster Ape Demon has already been injured by your Rending God Blade. Now is our chance to finish him off; we must seize this opportunity," Demon Sculptor exclaimed excitedly upon seeing that Minotaur had thoroughly wounded Yuanmo Laozu with his unique anti-air treasure.
Minotaur let out a low growl, his battle spirit surging as he celebrated injuring Yuanmo Laozu. He thrust his long blade into the ground before him; its massive width seemed to absorb divine energy, becoming more vibrant and exuding an even stronger malevolence.
The large cleaver in Minotaur's hand was called Rending God Blade, a treasured heirloom passed down through generations of the Bullhead Clan. Among the various branches of the Hoofed Tribe, such as the Goat Demon Clan and Deer Demon Clan, it was always led by the Minotaur Clan, primarily because of their possession of the Rending God Blade.
This blade has been inherited for over a thousand years from an ancestor of the Bullhead Clan. It can not only injure Yin Spirit, but anything before it is as fragile as tofu, making it virtually indestructible.
Minotaur nodded and said, "It all depends on World Gate. If I hadn't stumbled upon my ancestor's tomb in the Minotaur Clan and obtained its legacy, it wouldn't have been so easy to deal with that old man Ape Demon."
In addition to his blade, Minotaur possessed another treasure: the World Gate. This too was a legacy from an ancestor of the Minotaur Clan, but unlike the Rending God Blade, it was not passed down; instead, it was buried alongside him.
In an unexpected turn of events, the Minotaur accidentally stumbled into the tomb of his ancestors and successfully obtained the World Gate.
The World Gate, as its name suggests, is a super artifact that allows communication between worlds. For example, the Minotaur is currently a martial arts master with a cultivation level that has reached immortality, yet he cannot fly.
While a martial arts master is indeed formidable, he is at a disadvantage when facing a Soul Cultivator due to his inability to fly. If the Minotaur wishes to fly, it would only be possible after entering the Martial God Secret Realm and breaking through the Shatter the Void.
However, breaking through the Shatter the Void is incredibly difficult. The ancestor of the Bullhead Clan, who led the Hoofed Tribe in battles and made the Bullhead Clan the dominant force among them, ultimately failed to Shatter the Void and died with regrets.
Yet that ancestor of the Minotaur Clan possessed a divine artifact that allowed him to soar through the skies with incredible speed and precision. As long as one knew how to operate it, they could go anywhere they wished, making battles against Soul Cultivators much easier.
In terms of strength, if the Minotaur faced Yuanmo Laozu directly, he was confident he could win. However, Yuanmo Laozu had achieved enlightenment three thousand years ago and had already surpassed him in cultivation. He also possessed a transformation of his primordial spirit similar to the Virtual Immortal Eightfold Secret Realm and Soul Fusion.
As such, no matter what, the Minotaur was not a match for Yuanmo Laozu. Even with the help of the Demon Sculptor in tracking Yuanmo Laozu's movements, his inability to fly meant he could only watch as Yuanmo Laozu underwent transformations.
But with the World Gate, everything would be different. Yuanmo Laozu could move freely through space and teleport at will; he would no longer be a match for the Minotaur.
After several moments passed, a figure slowly materialized in the void not far from where the Demon Sculptor and Minotaur were located.
Upon closer inspection, it was none other than the seemingly young Yuanmo Laozu. At this moment, he wore a serious expression; several strands of his delicate long hair danced in the wind. Amidst their swaying, one could see a fine crack on Yuanmo Laozu's face.
The scene resembled glass shattering on impact but not completely breaking; it merely left a slight mark on his skin.
Yuanmo Laozu let out a faint breath, and signs of distraction appeared in his eyes. He was indeed injured, and quite severely so; this could be seen from the mark on his face.
Although he did not show much externally, internally things were complicated. An injured Yin Spirit does not bleed but instead begins to dissipate mentally step by step toward extinction.
"Ape Demon old man, you have already lost. With me and Brother Bull teaming up along with the artifacts World Gate and Rending God Blade, you are simply no match for us," said the Demon Sculptor while pointing at Yuanmo Laozu.
"Is that so?" Yuanmo Laozu paused for a moment before responding coldly.
In that moment, Yuanmo Laozu suddenly switched from spirit to flesh, doing something extremely dangerous. As he transitioned from his soul state to the Flesh state, seizing that profound moment in time, he let out a roar, his expression fierce, and leaped high from the void towards the Minotaur and the Demon Sculptor.
The latter was taken aback and couldn't react in time. Yuanmo Laozu manifested in Flesh, towering at ten zhang, his body covered in hard hair like steel needles, muscles bulging out, not inferior to the Minotaur in any way.
Yuanmo Laozu grabbed both the Minotaur and the Demon Sculptor simultaneously. The immense weight of his Flesh immediately pulled them down, piercing through the nearby clouds and plummeting downward.
The combined weight of the three giant creatures reached tens of thousands of pounds. Such a direct fall would flatten even a hillside.
However, the Minotaur and the Demon Sculptor would not allow this to happen. The Demon Sculptor had no means to counter it, but the Minotaur did. He quickly took down a Taoist Sect talisman from his body and infused it with Yang Yuan.
The World Gate then activated, using its ability to fly through the air while simultaneously teleporting the Minotaur, Yuanmo Laozu, and the Demon Sculptor to a hillside by the sea.
Suddenly, a loud crash echoed along the previously tranquil seaside as Yuanmo Laozu, the Demon Sculptor, and the Minotaur appeared out of nowhere, landing heavily on the hillside and creating a large crater.
Caught off guard, all three began rolling down the slope like three massive boulders.
The Demon Sculptor and the Minotaur fared better; they sustained no injuries and quickly stabilized themselves.
Only Yuanmo Laozu rolled farthest and most awkwardly, tumbling all the way to the foot of the hill and nearly plunging into the sea.
Having already been injured with his Yin Spirit slashed by the Rending God Blade, both his spirit and flesh were damaged simultaneously, leaving him with no strength to control his Flesh.
Once he rolled down to the foot of the hill, Yuanmo Laozu let out a low growl as he crawled up from the ground, covered in dirt with blood appearing in his mouth; he was severely wounded.
"Kill him; this is our best chance," said the Demon Sculptor to the Minotaur.
The two descended from the hillside with large strides. The Minotaur swung his great axe; once Yuanmo Laozu was dead, the Bullhead Clan would be utterly devastated. At that point, there would be one less competitor for controlling the fertile northern lands—a situation everyone would welcome.
"You are no match for me up there; on the ground, you stand even less of a chance. My Rending God Blade is indestructible; cutting through your Flesh will be effortless," taunted the Minotaur at Yuanmo Laozu.
Yuanmo Laozu stepped back two paces, feeling somewhat helpless, with a look of confusion on his face.
At that moment, other human figures appeared on the hillside, and upon closer inspection, it was Lu Chen and his companions.
"Minotaur, your Rending God Blade and World Gate are indeed treasures, but that depends on whether you can escape my Fire Thunder Cannon," Lu Chen called out to the Minotaur and Demon Sculptor not far away.
The Minotaur and Demon Sculptor turned around and were startled to see Lu Chen on the hillside. "It's that guy, how could it be him?" the Demon Sculptor murmured.
Earlier, they had encountered Lu Chen in the air, but since they were eager to deal with Yuanmo Laozu, they hadn't paid much attention to him and didn't even notice when he left.
In the eyes of the Minotaur and Demon Sculptor, Lu Chen was merely a human accompanied by an Illusory Immortal Beast. After all, Lu Chen had not yet reached Yin Immortal status, making him seem pitifully weak in their eyes.
Before the Minotaur and Demon Sculptor could react, Chen Qilin in the city had already locked onto them. Dozens of cannons fired simultaneously, directly targeting them.
The Demon Sculptor was fortunate enough to realize that trouble was coming; with a flap of his wings, he flew away immediately. However, the Minotaur was not so lucky.
Hit repeatedly by the powerful Fire Thunder Cannon, he didn't even have time to use World Gate. As he tried to escape, every possible route was calculated against him, with Fire Thunder waiting along the way, leaving him engulfed in smoke from the explosions.
