Yui almost got knocked over by someone passing through and steadied herself before asking, "What happened up ahead?" 0

Dian Yin rolled her eyes at her, "If you don't know, how would I?" 0

Yui then grabbed a woman passing by and cheerfully asked, "Excuse me, could you tell me what happened up ahead...?" 0

Before she could finish her sentence, the woman struggled free, shouting, "Let go of me! Don't block my way!" 0

Yui lost her grip and the woman quickly darted into the crowd with such speed that Yui couldn't pull her back. She turned to look at Dian Yin. 0

Dian Yin stood coldly beside her, next to a small girl who was trembling. The little girl stuttered, "I... I'm here to serve the Fourth Prince as a personal maid." 0

Dian Yin waved her hand, and the little girl disappeared as if granted a reprieve. 0

Why was the speed of disappearance the same but the process different? Was it because Dian Yin had a stronger presence? 0

Dian Yin gazed intently at the crowd ahead, a faint smile playing on her lips, although Yui thought it looked more like a smirk. 0

Suddenly, Dian Yin grabbed the back of Yui's collar, lifting her off the ground. "Hey, Dian Yin, what are you doing? Put me down! I can walk myself." 0

Ignoring her protests, Dian Yin moved swiftly as lightning. In an instant, they found themselves at the front of the encircled crowd. 0

Yui couldn't help but click her tongue in amazement, but she straightened her chest. She... she could do it too, though her speed was just a bit lacking. 0

In the center of the circle was an Imperial Edict, which simply stated that two maids were to be recruited for the Fourth Prince, with applications to be submitted here tomorrow at noon. The sooner, the better. 0

Yui was puzzled. With so many maids in the palace, why was there a need to specifically recruit more? However, this was even better; they hadn't thought of any reason to enter the palace yet, and this was just perfect. 0

Although many families were reluctant to send their daughters to serve as maids in the palace, serving the Fourth Prince was different. There was always a chance that one day they might catch the Fourth Prince's eye and rise to become a phoenix from a mere sparrow. Therefore, once this Imperial Edict was issued, the women of the capital were stirred into action. From the daughters of high officials and wealthy families to the little maids working in the fields, all the women in the city rushed out. The cosmetics, fabrics, and clothing in the capital were immediately snatched up by these eager women. 0
