Last time I came here, this time it was like second nature. Yui quietly stood behind Liu Fu Yeno again and said, "I'm here, I'm here."
Liu Fu Yeno was taken aback and turned around to see her lively face.
"Oh my, Benefactor, what are you doing?" Yui asked as she moved to his side and noticed a pond full of blooming lotus flowers.
"Ah, so Benefactor has quite an appreciation for nature. If Flower Maiden knew about this, she would surely consider you a confidant."
Liu Fu Yeno interrupted her chatter. He couldn't understand the names she mentioned, which annoyed him. Without further ado, he directly asked, "Where's the list?"
Yui felt a bit guilty and took a small step back, her voice barely above a whisper, "I failed."
For a moment, Liu Fu Yeno was shocked, but then he quickly regained his composure. Fortunately, he hadn't held out too much hope for her; otherwise, it would have driven him crazy. Still, he coldly retorted, "As expected."
"Hey, that was just a temporary setback! Besides... I did gather some very useful information," Yui argued.
"Oh? What useful information could you possibly have?" Liu Fu Yeno clearly didn't believe her.
How... how condescending.
Yui clenched her fist. "I heard that the Crown Prince is going to travel incognito. This is confidential."
Liu Fu Yeno suddenly stepped forward and tightly grasped Yui's shoulders, the force strong enough to be somewhat frightening. His tone shifted to one of urgency as he asked, "Where did you hear that? When?"
"Ouch, that hurts," Yui struggled.
Realizing he had lost control, Liu Fu Yeno slightly relaxed his grip but continued to stare intently at Yui.
Yui recounted the information she had heard word for word to Liu Fu Yeno, after which he fell into deep thought.
After a moment of silence, Yui, unwilling to be ignored, bounced around and said, "Benefactor, isn't my information very useful? I'm still quite impressive, right?"
Liu Fu Yeno pressed his aching head in exasperation; Yui was like a child who craved affirmation of her achievements. If she didn't receive it, she would cause a fuss. However, children were also the easiest to coax, the most obedient and compliant.
