Her whole body ached, and her chest felt as if millions of ants were crawling on it. The heart-wrenching pain made her unable to suppress a groan, but she quickly covered her mouth.
The Third Party had people watching over her day and night. If she alerted him, there would be no way out.
With her legs too weak to walk, she crawled slowly, dragging herself along the ground. Her skin rubbed against the rough surface, gradually wearing it raw. Yui gritted her teeth and persevered, but just as she reached the door, two legs appeared in her line of sight.
"Third Party."
The Third Party crouched down and picked Yui up horizontally, exuding an unpleasant and dangerous aura.
Yet he still couldn't bear to hurt Yui. He gently placed her back on the bed before starting to lose his temper.
"If I hadn't come tonight, would you have dragged yourself out of the Dragon Palace? Are you stupid? Do you think you can get out like this? You'll only end up dying faster."
He had never spoken harshly to her before; he always complied with her wishes. This side of him felt so unfamiliar.
Yui lowered her head and remained silent.
A tear fell onto her hand, and she choked out softly, "I miss him. I want to see him. Why is it so difficult?"
The Third Party couldn't hold back any longer. He stepped forward and grabbed her shoulders, his fingers almost digging into her flesh. "You want to see him? Fine. Just live your life to see him; I'm not asking you to risk everything to meet him."
"You are dead. Even if you see him, what does it matter? He will forget you soon enough, and there will be countless women around him taking your place. Are you willing to accept that?"
"He won't," Yui shook her head, raising her tear-filled eyes to look at the mistress, repeating, "He won't."
"I'm a man, I understand men better than you do. Right now he is a prince, and in the future, he will be an emperor. Do you think you're the only one for him? Don't be naive."
"He won't, he won't..." Yui kept shaking her head and repeating it, but the mistress's words still clearly reached her ears.
"Yui, don't do this."
The mistress suddenly hugged Yui tightly, her fingers quickly pressing several acupoints on the back of her neck. "Yui, I've already made my decision."
"Even if you are unwilling, I will still do this."
