First, I should start from "Twenty Years Ago." I was just a few months old then, so I opened my notebook and began to write:
1: Twenty Years Ago, the Yin Qi was too heavy, Wandering Fortune Teller, Cat's Eye Stone Bracelet.
2: Two years ago, the Feng Family underwent a huge change; all relatives except for my dad and me died in an accident. We moved to Sichuan and met Song A, Songzi, Sudai, and Suki. (Songzi and Suki voluntarily left with Americans.)
3: Two months ago, my dad was arrested and went missing, and my grandmother died from a serious illness. For the first time, Song A, Sudai, and I fought back.
4: Wuma You and Sudai were dragged away by a snake, and Song A "went missing." He would turn into a giant snake that looked like Songzi. There were records about Eternal Life in the Dragon Stone Carving and the Human Skin Blood Book (the Cat's Eye Stone Bracelet first appeared during the Qin Dynasty).
5: Pei Zi acted as a guide to take my dad and others to find an ancient tomb. They encountered Wuma You; Pei Zi led the way to their destination at that time. There was a Peeling Monster with blood-red hair that could bite.
6: I was saved by Lemon; someone impersonated my dad. The Black Key revealed secrets about the Cat's Eye Stone Bracelet. Was my dad deceiving me? Was there really no Wandering Fortune Teller? I learned that someone was monitoring me—most likely Song A, along with Sudai and Pei Zi’s group (uncertain).
7: Sudai was possessed and encountered a trap. Suddenly, a Xianxian appeared; he also knew about my dad (Black Key). In the coffin lay a "Living Dead." After saying something to Lemon, the Living Dead disappeared. Lemon climbed to the top of the hanging coffin; Blood Corpse (I suspect he might have taken something important from it).
8: They approached me not only to learn about the Black Key but more likely to use me to threaten my dad.
9: Lemon went missing, Sudai went missing, and everyone else scattered.
I tried to skip some unimportant details and only wrote these nine significant points. These are the things that occupy my mind the most right now, and they are quite chaotic; thinking about them gives me a headache...
But I still forced myself to connect all these clues, and in the end, I could only think of two possibilities:
The first possibility is that I was indeed born with an excess of Yin Qi, and the fortune teller gave me a Cat's Eye Stone Bracelet. Two years ago, besides my dad and me, all other relatives died in an accident.
Then, my dad was targeted because he had a Black Key in his possession. Due to his exceptional skills in treasure hunting, he was captured and used as a shield. However, they did not obtain any clues about the Black Key from him, so they assumed it was hidden with me. Lime and Xianxian came to Heizhugou to search for something important, which could be the Black Key or something else. Song A and Sudai might be people monitoring me, while Pei Zi and Wuma You appeared too coincidentally, making it impossible to determine their intentions for now.
The first possibility is obviously not very realistic, so I lean more towards the second one: my dad deceived me, and the Cat's Eye Stone Bracelet was actually made for me. As for why he kept it a secret from me, I have no way of knowing.
In fact, there has always been a force secretly watching my family; they desperately want the Black Key from my dad, but he refuses to give it to them. As a result, they devised a plan to kill my relatives, forcing my dad to take me away from Changsha. However, this force somehow disguised themselves as my neighbors; they started approaching me two years ago and even hid their abilities to pose as ordinary people in an attempt to gain my trust.
Yet they still did not obtain what they wanted, so their patience wore thin. First, they captured my dad to make him work for them; later on, perhaps due to my dad's instability, they tried to get close to me to warn him!
My dad went through great lengths to keep me out of this matter, but they were determined to drag me into it. Now, aside from me, there is no one left in the Feng Family who can serve as leverage against my dad, so they won't let me go. If this time doesn't work out for them, there may be a second or third attempt. I will never know if the people around me are sent by them to monitor me.
Based on everyone's reactions in the graveyard, I am more inclined to believe Lime. As long as I pay attention and inquire a bit about Master Qing, I can learn about his situation; therefore, he shouldn't have any reason to deceive me.
Since Pei Zi said he always acts alone, he should not be part of their group. Moreover, judging by the reactions of Song A and Xianxian, they likely aren't part of the same faction either. Even if someone is acting, there are moments when they slip up; however, that didn't happen with them. Their feelings towards Lime seem like a mix of love and hate; perhaps it's because Lime remains neutral and does not take sides but only acts for himself.
Given this situation, things should become easier moving forward. I need to make a trip back to my hometown in Changsha. In those novels, treasure hunters often build underground chambers in their homes or have certain places that lead underground; perhaps there is an ancient tomb down there. Therefore, I must return. There must be something I've overlooked—perhaps something I'm completely unaware of!
I need to find out which tombs my dad has been robbing and where he obtained the Black Key from. Why do so many people want it? Is it true that having that key can unlock a Daoist Sect and reveal something that ultimately grants "Eternal Life"? I think this matter cannot be that simple!
Thinking of this made me eager to return home; thus, I resolutely completed the discharge procedures. I am currently in Leshan, so I took a bus to the train station and booked a ticket for seven o'clock that evening while waiting there. After transferring twice and spending nearly four hundred yuan, I felt a bit pained since I only had about ten thousand yuan left in my bank account—money I saved during school—which is quite a significant amount for a student like me.
However, after deducting the two thousand yuan spent on equipment and the one thousand yuan I carelessly spent asking Wuma You to help find a grave, I ended up spending nearly four thousand yuan on food and lodging. With just over five thousand left, it wasn't even enough for the next trip underground! Now, I was just waiting for Wuma You to hurry up and buy the items so he could transfer the money to me. Just thinking about it made me feel a pinch in my heart, so I decided not to dwell on that nonsense anymore. Anyway, after all my travels, I finally arrived in Changsha around ten-thirty on the third day.
I didn't have time to rest and immediately took a taxi back to my hometown. The house was still the one passed down through several generations; it was large and had been completely renovated. My dad and Uncle were living inside, but the once lively house was now empty. Thinking of this made my heart ache again, and before I knew it, I fell asleep in the car.
