A fiery pain coursed through my entire body, as if I had been crushed. Dim light filtered into my vision, and I couldn't help but open my eyes. The surroundings were eerily quiet.
Am I not dead yet? This was the first thought that crossed my mind as my consciousness returned. Light? Wasn't I in a pitch-black secret passage? Did someone else fall down and turn on the lights?
No! This isn't a secret room! I suddenly became alert, realizing that I was awkwardly lying on the cold ground. In front of me was a dark stone-paved floor; I remembered that the floor in the secret room had been flat and without any carvings, so what was this dragon-shaped carving doing here?
Feeling a strong sense of being watched, I pushed myself up with my hands, enduring the pain, and looked up. Instantly, I froze. On both sides, about a meter away from me, stood two groups of people, all staring at me with expressions of shock.
Xianxian? Sharpshooter?
Xianxian was still in the act of aiming his gun but looked at me in surprise without saying a word. His handsome face and stylish attire made him look like he was filming some international joke—oh no, a movie!
Looking over at the other side where Divine Hand and his group were, Divine Hand still wore a black sniper mask that obscured his expression. The most surprised and noticeable one was Evil Bird; his mouth was agape as if he could fit an egg inside it, almost drooling. Kong Guayan showed little expression, but a hint of surprise in his eyes did not escape my notice.
My head buzzed with confusion. How could they be here? And judging by their current state, both sides were armed and ready for a fight; they certainly weren't having a pleasant reunion! It seemed they were in the middle of a shootout! But why was I lying right in the middle of their crossfire!?
"Uh, you all continue!" Feeling awkward under their gaze, I pretended to be nonchalant as I got up from the ground. I had just taken two steps when suddenly there was a loud "bang," and something fell from above. Startled, I thought it might be the Red-Haired Corpse coming after me again. Turning around quickly, I was stunned once more; what fell wasn't the red-haired figure but something even more horrifying—the Peeling Monster!
This creature's face had also been skinned, looking exactly like what I had seen before in Heizhugou—utterly disgusting and terrifying!

They had clearly left me behind to run up, but now they had come back down...
"Don't tell me you fell from above and then ran back up from below?" I pointed to the stairs above and then below, realizing that what I said didn't even make sense.
"You all continue going up," Xianxian instructed the people behind him, then leaned against the wall to watch me. As Xianxian's group ran up again, it left just the two of us here.
"What are you staring at me for?" Before I could finish my sentence, Xianxian suddenly showed a fierce expression and lunged at me. I hadn't even reacted to what he was doing when he grabbed my neck with both hands. I was already climbing the stairs with injuries, and now being manhandled like this made my wounds feel like they were bleeding again.
Moreover, I wasn't someone easy to mess with right now. I didn't know where the strength came from, but I reached out and tackled him, then swung my fist to hit him.
Perhaps he didn't expect my sudden outburst; a hint of surprise appeared in Xianxian's eyes as he loosened his grip on my neck and hurriedly said, "No hitting in the face!"
