I never thought about "Soaring Through the Clouds," but today I truly indulged in the experience!
Although that hand-shaped "White Mist" was somewhat dense and I couldn't see the surroundings clearly, I felt no panic at all. Instead, I experienced a sense of comfort. Not everyone gets to have the experience of "Soaring Through the Clouds"!
With my eyes closed, fully enjoying the moment, I suddenly heard a muffled sound. I couldn't help but open my eyes to search for the source of the noise. While my eyes couldn't see, my ears were surprisingly sharp and even more sensitive than usual.
Boom...
Another muffled sound followed, resembling something heavy crashing into a tree! Then came the sounds of fighting; no one spoke, only the rush of wind could be heard, indicating movement.
"Who’s over there?" I called out towards the direction of the sound.
No one answered; it was still just the sounds of combat, rustling and strange!
After a long while, just when I thought it might be an auditory hallucination, a shadow flew heavily past me. At the same time, a thicker white mist surged forward. The shadow was caught in mid-air and, in the blink of an eye, it was thrown away with a loud thud!
Though it happened in an instant, that shadow was clearly a person!
At this moment, I couldn't afford to hesitate. With a thought, I drew a sharp "Long Dagger," turned it around, and struck forcefully. My palm went numb from the impact; I used at least ninety percent of my strength. Suddenly, I felt myself lighten as I began to fall. However, I remained vigilant during my descent, keenly sensing the movements around me. The massive white hand that had just grabbed me tore a hole in the mist before disappearing.
Closing my eyes, I had to rely solely on my hearing now.
Estimating the time, it had been about half an hour since the mist appeared and the giant hand grabbed me. In such a short time, I couldn't have gone far, so I wasn't worried about being taken somewhere unknown.
A faint "Blood Stench" wafted through the air; it must have come from that dark figure. Regardless of whether they were friend or foe, I needed to check on them. After all, many people had come to "Small Yellow Village" this time—either villagers or someone among them—and the likelihood of them being a villager was even smaller.
As I pondered this, a sudden gust of icy wind rushed towards me. Instinctively, I shifted my body and reached out to grab something that felt both soft and hard; it seemed like fabric?
When I opened my eyes to look, I was stunned!
What I had grabbed was indeed a person! And it was someone I recognized!
However, this person was now in tattered clothes, covered in dirt and some unknown black liquid, with messy short hair and several wounds on his face. Aside from the shock and killing intent in his eyes, one might think he had just returned from a wild tribe.
"What are you doing here?" I asked in surprise as I looked at the disheveled Fu Song.
Indeed, this person was Fu Song, who usually spoke very little and chose his words carefully. Just yesterday, I was wondering why I hadn't seen him; it turned out he had arrived even earlier than us.
"Why can't I be here?" Li Hui replied expressionlessly, his eyes revealing a coldness.
Seeing his defiant demeanor, I narrowed my eyes and asked, "Where's Lime?" Although I didn't believe Fu Song could do anything to Lime, his presence here was simply too coincidental!
"How would I know where he is?" Fu Song said uncooperatively. After saying that, he shrugged off his arm and coldly added, "Let go!"
Unable to tell if he was lying or not, I released his hand and said lightly, "Sorry for the interruption." With that, I prepared to leave.
"Wait!" Fu Song suddenly lunged forward. I instinctively dodged to the side; although I narrowly avoided his attack, I was still jabbed by nearby branches. Despite wearing thick clothing, the sudden impact still hurt quite a bit.
I immediately got angry and shouted, "What do you want?!"
Fu Song's expression darkened as he tightly pressed his lips together. Just as he was about to speak, a huge white hand suddenly attacked again. He barely managed to dodge but was still knocked down to the ground. He grimaced for a moment before getting up and coldly warning me, "You have never seen me! If I hear anything suspicious, I'll definitely kill you!"
I couldn't help but laugh at that, smiling as if basking in spring sunshine. "You say you're going to kill me?"
Looking at his disheveled appearance, I crossed my arms and stood aside laughing. "Are you sure you can kill me?"
Although I had never fought him directly, I could hold my own against Lime for several rounds. Plus, with the power left in my body by Zhi, dealing with these people would be more than enough; I had no doubt that I wouldn't lose!
If I were to lose, I'd feel ashamed of myself and let down those secrets against the heavens!
Fu Song remained silent, staring at me for a long time.
I stood there watching him with a gentle smile.
"What do you need me to do to keep your secret?" After a long pause, Fu Song finally compromised.
I want to say that from the very beginning, I had no intention of getting involved in your affairs, nor was I interested in them. However, seeing you so nervous, it would be a shame not to tease you a little for the time I’ve spent here. So, I said to him, "It's simple, work for me for a year."
"What did you say!?" Fu Song looked at me in disbelief, gritting his teeth.

"But before that, I need to test you. I can't have you holding me back!" Well, honestly, I didn't want to bully anyone, but this person seemed quite shrewd! If he weren't my enemy, he could be quite useful! The main reason for my sudden change of heart was that Fu Song was ruthless and patient! In a crowd, no one would notice him, but once he got to work, he was completely different. I valued talent highly! So how could I not exploit such an interesting person for my own use?
"You say!" Fu Song's face looked exceptionally grim as he glared at me unwillingly.
I automatically ignored the predatory look in his eyes and asked, "Do you have anyone behind you? What's your family situation like?"
"No one, just me. As for my family..." Fu Song revealed a cold smile in his eyes. "They're all dead."
I fell silent; this situation sounded oddly familiar and seemed just as tragic as my past!
"Well, I hope you're telling the truth," I nodded and dodged the incoming attack from his white hand, smiling lightly. "For now, you're qualified. Don't worry; I won't make you do anything like murder or arson. If possible, we will help you take revenge on your enemies. There’s only one condition: no betrayal—absolutely not. Otherwise..." I glared at him coldly; what I hated most now were traitors!
"Hmph." Fu Song scoffed lightly. "I didn't expect that in just two or three years, Feng Zi, you'd change so much." Although his tone was unfriendly, I still saw a hint of wavering in his eyes.
Being weak and isolated cannot lead to great things, can it?
