Stepping outside and breathing in the fresh air, I felt invigorated and full of energy.
Rophie, Tong Qi, and others came to check on me one after another. They were amazed to see me so lively, but they had no idea what had really happened. On the surface, my injuries were minimal; I had only been unconscious for a few days. I wondered how they would react if they knew I had absorbed the power of the Mountain Ghost.
As I entertained this mischievous thought, Sun Lan approached me. With her shoulder-length short hair looking neat and clean, it accentuated her fair skin even more. Sun Lan's features were actually quite delicate; if she weren't so aggressive with her words most of the time, she would be quite pleasant to look at. Even though she was wearing thick clothes, her curvy figure was still evident.
Sun Lan stood in front of me for a moment before asking, "Are you okay?"
"Do you want me to be unwell?" I crossed my arms and smiled.
"Who wants that!" Sun Lan shot me a glare before turning her head away and muttering, "Um, thanks for saving me last time."
"You're welcome. It's only natural between classmates," I replied with a smile, not minding at all. Sun Lan rarely showed this girlish side; she usually had a cold and proud demeanor. Unless she was close friends with someone, she wouldn't even spare a glance for those she looked down upon. Of course, I had already experienced this firsthand.
Sun Lan turned back to look at me, her eyes curving into a smile that was sweet yet carried a hint of pride. "Alright then, seeing how hard you're trying, I'll consider you my friend! I hope you won't hold onto any unpleasantness from before." After saying this, she playfully patted my shoulder.
I couldn't help but laugh; it seemed she was here to make amends. Since that was the case, why not go along with it?
So I patted her shoulder in return and said with a grin, "OK, no problem!"
After that, we both burst into laughter.
"Xiao Lan, Feng Zi, why are you two still here?" At that moment, another person approached us with an exasperated expression.
Rophie still had her slightly curled long hair paired with soft brows and eyes that made her look incredibly sexy. However, her personality was gentle and demure, which made the contrast even more appealing!
"What’s up?" I asked with a puzzled smile as I looked at the beautiful Rophie.
Rophie blinked in surprise and asked, "Did Xiao Lan not tell you?"
Huh? I looked at Sun Lan in confusion and saw her stick out her tongue playfully as she said, "I just reconciled with Little Phoenix; I hadn't gotten around to telling you yet."
"You!" Rophie tapped Sun Lan's forehead before explaining the situation to us.
After adjusting for so many days, the police and the doctor were about to leave. To show gratitude, the village chief called on the villagers to send them off. However, not everyone had arrived yet, and since I was considered one of the key contributors to defeating the Mountain Ghost, a commotion ensued.

Upon hearing the situation, the three of us hurried to the village entrance. Sure enough, there was a dense crowd; everyone who should be there had come. Laughter and cheerful chatter filled the air, and I couldn't help but smile.
"Feng Zi is here!"
Suddenly, someone shouted, and all the heads in the crowd turned to look at me. I awkwardly smiled; being worshipped by a group of people was really something I wasn't used to! Only now did I truly admire those charismatic superstars!
"Brother Feng, thanks to you three for assisting the police. I won't say much in gratitude; here’s my business card. Please let me treat you to a meal sometime!" Major Ma handed me his business card with a half-smile.
Why does he have that smile again? When he smiles, he looks as cunning as Xianxian!
"Fengfeng, don't smile so wickedly; you might scare them," Xianxian said with a mischievous grin after nudging my arm.
I chuckled awkwardly. What does it mean to smile wickedly? Do I? I shot him a glance before cheerfully replying to Major Ma, "It's only right for us ordinary citizens to cooperate with the police!"
Is that so? Xianxian looked at me skeptically and laughed.
I couldn't be bothered with him and heard Major Ma ask again, "Aren't you leaving?"
"I can leave anytime," I replied to Major Ma and then asked the others beside me, "When do you plan to leave?"
I was naturally referring to Tong Qi and Xiao Xiao, who loved to watch the excitement. Tong Qi and Xiao Xiao exchanged glances before cheerfully saying to me, "We've discussed it; we haven't really explored the mountains yet. Since the Mountain Ghost is dead and the alert has been lifted, we might as well continue climbing! The air in these mountains is just wonderful! Although it's a bit cold..."
I raised an eyebrow and saw Sun Lan nodding in agreement. Except for Rophie, who looked worried, I knew exactly what she was concerned about. So I quietly reassured her, "Don't worry; it won't be too late to go back in a few days."
Rophie nodded but didn't say anything more.
Actually, I had planned to leave quickly as well. However, after dealing with the Mountain Ghost incident, I realized our combat abilities were truly lacking! If we just went out like this and encountered a slightly stronger opponent, the consequences would be unimaginable. I didn't want The League of Shadows to be just a decoration, so staying for a while wouldn't hurt.

"Then it's settled. We'll head back after a while," I said, looking at Major Ma. "We won't be returning with you, so be careful on the way."
"Alright," Major Ma nodded, suddenly seeming to remember something. He quietly asked, "Did you use Thunderclap last time?"
