Chapter 176: The Secret of Lime
"It’s not a trap," Lime said calmly, his expression returning to its usual indifference.
Xianxian glanced at Lime with a complex look and shrugged, saying, "I think we should lay everything out on the table. Since it’s not a trap, does that mean this old man is trustworthy? If so, should we unite as he suggested?"
"I agree!" I immediately chimed in.
"Well said, Fengfeng!" Xianxian replied with a smile, raising an eyebrow at me. "So, what about you two? Are you willing to cooperate sincerely?" The last question was directed at Pei Zi. After all, even though Lime was reluctant to share many secrets, we at least trusted him.
Pei Zi remained silent for a moment before suddenly smiling and saying, "To collaborate with you all is something many would seek but cannot attain; of course, I agree!"
"Lime, what about you? How much longer do you plan to keep things from us?" Xianxian asked the question I had been wanting to ask but hadn’t voiced.
Lime continued to be silent, seemingly lost in his thoughts and not hearing us. The three of us stared at him intently until he suddenly looked up, hesitating for a moment. We could see the struggle in his eyes before he finally spoke a heavy word, "Okay!"
"Good! Since that’s settled, let’s share the clues we know and strategize together," Xianxian said cheerfully as she sat cross-legged on the ground.
I sat down as well, followed by Pei Zi and Lime who also took their seats.
"I’m one of the Azure Dragon members," Pei Zi said less than five seconds after sitting down. I was momentarily stunned and stared at him blankly; that was quite fast! I had been thinking about when to ask him, but he just blurted out such explosive news right after sitting down. It was truly impressive!
Pei Zi raised an eyebrow and suddenly laughed, "Aren’t you all surprised?"
"Heh heh, surprised? How could we not be surprised!" Xianxian chuckled. "It’s just that we had heard some rumors long ago; it’s only now that we’ve confirmed them."
"You knew all along?" Pei Zi seemed very surprised, frowning and asking nervously, "Where did you hear it? I don’t remember telling anyone."
