Chapter 245: We Are in a World of Lies

It consists of worthless pieces of paper that satisfy our basic needs for food, entertainment, and transportation. They pay us, yet we hand over the entire world!
Once forests evolved to purify our air have now turned into ruins, becoming factories that pollute the atmosphere; once-clear rivers from which we drank are now occupied by toxic waste that stinks; lands where animals once roamed freely have become factory farms for raising and slaughtering animals to satisfy our appetites; our food could feed the entire world, yet over a billion people go hungry every day.
You may ask where all the food has gone. Seventy percent is used to feed the animals we consume. Why not supply this food to those suffering from famine? The answer: because those suffering from famine cannot create value and profit for corporations.
We often feel that our lives are unique. In reality, when combined, we are merely fuel—fuel that drives the elites. Those hidden behind corporate logos are the true rulers of this world.
Humanity now seems to be a plague ravaging the Earth, destroying the environment on which we depend. Everything in our eyes has been reduced to commodities that can be bought and owned. But what will happen when we pollute the last river, poison the last breath of pure air, and there is no gasoline left for trucks to deliver food to us? When will we realize that worthless money cannot be eaten?
We are not destroying the Earth; we are destroying other beings on this planet. Every year, thousands of species are on the brink of extinction; soon it will be our turn.

We believed that by consistently running, we could stay away from illness, but in reality, we are escaping the root of the problem—what we eat determines our health, and our Food is merely a tool for businesses to profit. We continuously ingest Toxic Chemical Additives into our bodies, and the animals we consume have already been infected with drugs and hormones, yet we see nothing because those who control the media do not allow us to see.
We live in a world of illusion that we perceive as reality!
Interestingly, humanity once believed that Earth was the center of the universe, and now we foolishly think we are the center of Earth. We point to our Technological Achievements and arrogantly declare ourselves the smartest species, but can computers, cars, and robots truly prove how intelligent we are?
Or do they reveal how lazy we have become?
We wear this mask called "civilization," but what are we when the mask is removed? So quickly we forget that changes like Allowing Women to Vote and recognizing Black people as our equals have only occurred in the last century. We act as if we are all-knowing, yet there is so much more that we do not see. We walk down the street ignoring those small things, those stories eager to be told that look into our eyes. We feel everything exists merely to highlight our own backgrounds.
Perhaps it is our fear of no longer being unique, of being just a drop in the ocean, that leads us to overlook other lives that are also citizens of Earth...
