Whether from a Buddhist or scientific theoretical perspective: if you live in the 21st century in this life, perhaps in your next life you will be reborn in the Warring States period; you might even be reborn as an animal or in an extraterrestrial world beyond Earth.
Since it is possible to traverse time and space, if future technology advances to the point where your descendants can travel back to the present and kill you, do your descendants exist or not?
This is a misunderstanding of the theory of time and space.
Because time and space do not synchronize, it establishes different temporal layers and forms the basis for different times and spaces; thus, there are countless universes. Simply put, the universe not only has higher-dimensional spaces beyond our current four-dimensional space but also countless "parallel universes" identical to ours.
The modern Spatial Physics community has recognized the rationality of the "Parallel Universe Theory" and has scientifically validated it through mathematical models.
If your descendants leave the future and come to 2010 to kill you, then for that time period of your descendants, they have gone missing; for your current time period, you are dead; however, your death does not cause your descendants to disappear from this time period because they actually arrive in a new universe that is different from their original time and space.
To illustrate parallel universes more vividly: at the same time, at this very moment, there are countless versions of you reading this article; he is you, you are him, yet he is not you, and you are not him.
Ultimately, we are all illusions!!
Now let's revisit Einstein's Relativity fifth formula:

The creation and destruction of the universe is a cyclical process; the universe originated from an infinitely small Singularity, where pressure was unimaginably immense, leading to the Big Bang. Due to the interchangeability of energy and mass, the energy from the Big Bang gradually transformed into mass (matter), forming the universe we currently experience in terms of time and space. Once this universe expands to a certain limit, it will collapse inward again, ultimately collapsing back into an infinitely small Singularity, followed by another Big Bang, and so on in this cycle.
So one might ask: how did the premise of the universe's Big Bang, the Singularity, come to be?
Scientists have yet to explain this, but from a Buddhist perspective, it can be easily understood. The Singularity is essentially the "initial point of Karma," where different Karmas give rise to different universes and different time periods.
Then one might wonder: where does this so-called "initial point of Karma" come from?
The answer is: it comes from another Dimensional Space.
Thus, this aligns with the widely accepted scientific concept of the Bubble Universe Theory; that is, universes continuously arise—this universe gives rise to another universe, which in turn gives rise to yet another universe—constantly bubbling forth.
Returning to the question: why do Buddhists say our world is an illusion?
This is not merely a philosophical concept.
The answer is: our world is not the true reality but rather a manifestation of "Collective Karma" produced by us in a certain dimension; this "Collective Karma" generated the Singularity of our universe, and this Singularity's Big Bang formed the world we see and perceive today.
This theoretically supports Buddhism's claim that the world is fundamentally illusory. But is there further empirical evidence?
Astrophysicists use advanced instruments to continually break down matter into smaller components—Electrons, Protons, Hadrons, Light Matter—leading humanity to wonder what lies beyond these fundamental particles.
Having established these fundamental particles as the building blocks of everything visible to the naked eye, what then composes these fundamental particles?
Thus scientists persistently explore and divide matter until something astonishing occurs—
The classic theory of modern physics: String Theory.
Astrophysicists continually divide fundamental particles until they discover not smaller particles but segments of energy waves!
This provides substantial evidence for Einstein's Mass-Energy Equation E=mc^2 (mass and energy are fundamentally equivalent).
It turns out that everything we see with our eyes, including ourselves, is not solid matter but rather segments of energy waves! In other words, everything we perceive, including ourselves, is illusory! It does not truly exist!

If all of the above supports the authenticity of Buddhism, then how should we, as sentient beings, treat this relatively existing material world and life?
"Yes, since we are all illusory, how should we treat this relatively existing material world and life?" I murmured.
"Could this be the reason for the endless conflicts between the God Alliance and the factions representing the Azure Dragon over the centuries?" Xianxian asked with a look of constipation.

Regarding this question, everyone has different opinions. Just like you may think something is right while others believe it is wrong, it is difficult to say whether we are all illusory and how we should coexist.
