As soon as the words were spoken, a Tall Man stepped forward. He was handsome but exuded a certain rogue vibe. He walked up to the guy who had just spoken and, without much thought, slapped him on the head, saying, "Call me sister!"
"I'm sorry, Sister Ziyan, I misspoke earlier."
Wang Ziyan ignored him and focused intently on Bing Tianyi in front of her.
Bing Tianyi wanted to continue waiting, but seeing the situation unfold, he decided to tidy up his things to avoid any trouble.
At that moment, the Tall Man approached Bing Tianyi with a sneer and asked, "Are you the kid who broke Chen Hu's head?"
"No comment," Bing Tianyi replied bluntly.
"You've got quite a stubborn temper; no wonder so many people at school want to mess with you."
As the man got closer, Bing Tianyi recognized him as Chen Tian, a member of the Sophomore Wolf Pack who had helped him during high school.
"Brother Tian, it's you?" Bing Tianyi momentarily forgot his identity and spoke up.
"Are we that familiar?" Chen Tian asked with a cold smile.
Realizing that he had only just met Chen Tian, Bing Tianyi quickly corrected himself, "Sorry, I forgot. We don't know each other yet."
"Alright, enough chit-chat. You look like you're planning to tell fortunes. Can you give me a reading too?" Chen Tian asked with a smile that still held a hint of mockery.
Just as Bing Tianyi was about to respond, Wang Ziyan shot a glare at Chen Tian and said directly, "Do you think that's funny?"
Clearly, Wang Ziyan disapproved of Chen Tian's style. She felt that Chen Tian was deliberately humiliating Bing Tianyi.
Although Wang Ziyan had been arrogant and unreasonable during her high school years, there was a sense of loyalty within her.
"Of course, but my fortune-telling comes at a price; it starts at two hundred for a reading," Bing Tianyi said, then immediately smiled and added, "However, for you, Brother Chen, it will only be two dollars."
"Money is not an issue; as long as your predictions are accurate, two hundred it is." Chen Tian had some assets at home since his father owned a supermarket in the county.
"Agreed on the two dollars. So, Brother Chen, what do you want to know?" Bing Tianyi asked directly.
"What can you tell me?" Chen Tian countered.
Bing Tianyi was momentarily taken aback but quickly recovered and smiled at Chen Tian, saying, "Brother Chen, I have to say something you might not want to hear. Tomorrow, your supermarket is likely to face some trouble. It might even be shut down for a few days. So tonight, it's best if you go home and have your father inform the employees not to open for business before nine in the morning."
Hearing this from Bing Tianyi, Chen Tian stood up and laughed heartily. "Are you kidding me? Do you know how much revenue a supermarket makes in the morning? If I go home and tell my dad that we shouldn't do business before nine, he'll probably scold me like crazy!"
Chen Tian mocked Bing Tianyi while pulling out a hundred-dollar bill and tossing it to him. Then, urged by Wang Ziyan, he hurriedly left.
As Chen Tian turned to leave, Bing Tianyi quickly shouted, "Brother Chen, really make sure your father pays attention..."
Chen Tian left with his two brothers and Wang Ziyan.
The reason Bing Tianyi said this was that he remembered an incident during his fourth week of school when a child fell from the stairs at Zhongxin Supermarket in the county and got injured. It happened to be on a Saturday. In the end, Zhongxin Supermarket had to pay hundreds of thousands in compensation and nearly faced closure.
But now that the other party wasn't listening to him, he felt helpless.
After continuing to watch over his stall for more than half an hour and seeing that it was getting late, Bing Tianyi took his hundred-dollar earnings and went over to help his parents at their stall.
The next morning, after Bing Tianyi and the others woke up, it was already past ten o'clock.
Just as he opened his eyes and was about to wash up, a series of urgent knocks on the door reached his ears.
With no choice, he stretched lazily and walked to the door. As he opened it, he curiously asked, "Who is it?"
"Big Brother, it's me!" came the voice of Pang Yu from outside.
Upon opening the door and seeing Pang Yu drenched in sweat, Bing Tianyi smiled wryly and asked, "Why aren't you resting well this early in the morning? What do you want?"
"Let me in for a drink of water first," Pang Yu said breathlessly as he rushed into the room, grabbed a water jug, and gulped down some cold water. Turning around, he told Bing Tianyi directly, "Hurry up and go; someone is looking for you."
Bing Tianyi furrowed his brows and asked curiously, "Who is it?"
"Chen Tian," Pang Yu replied, wiping the sweat from his forehead while looking at Bing Tianyi.
Upon hearing this, Bing Tianyi suddenly remembered that he had seen Chen Tian last night and had told him something very important. Realizing this, Bing Tianyi quickly asked, "Did something happen at his father's supermarket?"
"How did you know?" Pang Yu looked at Bing Tianyi, who hadn't even washed his face yet.
"Sigh... I told him to be careful today, but I didn't expect something would still happen." After saying this, Bing Tianyi wiped his face with a wet towel and hurried out with Pang Yu.
Under Pang Yu's lead, they soon arrived at a small square not far from the supermarket entrance. At this point, there was already quite a crowd gathered outside the supermarket. Even from a distance, they could hear the commotion coming from that direction.
Walking briskly forward, they quickly reached the crowd. After glancing around a few times, Bing Tianyi then asked Pang Yu beside him, "Brother, where is Chen Tian right now?"
"Follow me; he just told me to wait for him at the west entrance of the supermarket," Pang Yu said with a frown as he scanned the crowd before leading Bing Tianyi forward.
As the two arrived at the intersection, they saw Chen Tian approaching with a few laid-back students in the distance.
Bing Tianyi sighed and stepped forward, stopping in place. He helplessly asked Chen Tian, "Did you really not relay what I said to your father last night?"
"Come on, Bing Tianyi, is someone planning to set my father up?" Chen Tian had never believed that human effort could overcome fate, so how could he believe that Bing Tianyi could predict future events?
Seeing the other party's response, Bing Tianyi felt even more frustrated. With a bitter smile and a sense of annoyance, he spun around twice on the ground before turning to Chen Tian and saying directly, "Alright, no matter how you put it, the situation has already happened. You all figure it out yourselves."
"Do you think you can just walk away like this?" As Chen Tian spoke, two of his brothers stepped forward and grabbed Bing Tianyi by the collar.
Bing Tianyi turned around and stared intently at Chen Tian, asking, "Chen Tian, what do you want? Are you really planning to fight me?"
"Let me be honest with you today. If you tell me who is behind this incident, I'll let you go. If you don't say anything, I'll throw you onto the road to get hit by a car," Chen Tian said coldly with a sinister smile.
Bing Tianyi glanced at the bustling traffic on the road. Although the cars weren't moving very fast, he was still just a flesh-and-blood human. Even if he were gently pushed out there, getting hit by a car would definitely result in broken bones.
Realizing this, Bing Tianyi looked at Chen Tian helplessly for a few seconds before finally speaking up, "I've really seen what it means for a dog to bite Lü Dongbin—ungrateful."
"You little brat, how dare you insult our Brother Tian!" one of the sophomores beside him said as he kicked Bing Tianyi hard in the stomach.
As the kick landed on Bing Tianyi's abdomen, he felt nauseous. Chen Tian continued to hold onto Bing Tianyi's collar and sneered, "So, are you going to talk or not?"
"Alright, I don't need to explain anything. If you trust me, go tell your father that if the parties involved want to settle privately, they should do so as much as possible. If it goes public, not only will your losses increase significantly, but you might also face business suspension for rectification," Bing Tianyi said seriously while looking pained.
To be honest, Chen Tian had never experienced such a situation before. His father's business was facing this kind of trouble. Moreover, he had known it would happen in advance but had failed to intervene. Feeling guilty towards his father already, he was taken aback by Bing Tianyi's words.
Standing there for several seconds, he finally asked Bing Tianyi directly, "Why do you say that?"
"The reason is simple. Some employees at your supermarket have been secretly bringing outside items into the store for sale. Not only are there expired products, but there are also many prohibited items," Bing Tianyi said seriously.
Chen Tian was completely stunned by Bing Tianyi's words. Although he was a student, he understood the serious consequences of selling such items in a supermarket.
Without having time to ask Bing Tianyi how he knew this, he hurriedly led his group of brothers toward the supermarket.
Watching them leave, Bing Tianyi squatted down and held his stomach, breathing heavily.
After a few minutes, Pang Yu awkwardly approached Bing Tianyi and said frankly, "Big Brother, I'm sorry. I didn't know Chen Tian was looking for you about this matter."
"It's fine. What date is it today?" Bing Tianyi asked curiously, furrowing his brows.
Pang Yu took out his electronic watch, glanced at the time, and quietly told Bing Tianyi.
Upon hearing the time, Bing Tianyi muttered a few words of frustration before shaking off his thoughts and directly told Pang Yu, "Hurry up and come with me to save someone."
Pang Yu was left confused, scratching his head as he stood still and helplessly asked Bing Tianyi, who was already running ahead, "Big Brother, where are we going to save someone?"
Bing Tianyi forgot about his own pain and turned back while jogging to tell Pang Yu directly, "Stop asking so many questions and just follow me!"
