Fei Hu was taken aback upon hearing this. Fighting was no joke; it could lead to serious trouble, and he didn't know how to respond at that moment.
"Ha! You got scared over this? Fine, I won't push you," Yingzi said with a smile, standing up to leave.
"Wait, don't rush off just yet," Fei Hu suddenly reached out and stopped Yingzi, who was about to head out the door.
Yingzi smiled lightly and sat back down. She teased, "What's the matter? Have you thought it over and decided to help me? Look at you, with all those skills. Teaching these people a lesson is only right; it would be for the greater good and wouldn't implicate you in anything."
Fei Hu felt a stir in his heart from Yingzi's provocation but still expressed his concerns, "I'm worried that if the police get involved and lock us up, that would be a real problem."
"Oh! So that's what you're worried about. Don't worry; such things usually don't get reported. Besides, the police aren't interested in this kind of stuff. If they do lock you up, I'll have someone from the company come to get you out; I promise," Yingzi said sincerely.
Fei Hu thought for a moment and added, "First, my identity must remain confidential because I have some connections with those troublemakers. In other words, you can't tell anyone about tonight's events. Second, you must ensure that we won't be involved in any illegal activities."
"Sure! I can meet both conditions. Now let's go! You're as chatty as a woman," Yingzi seemed eager and couldn't help but pull Fei Hu along.
Fei Hu quickly turned around and grabbed the mask that Fat Girl had given him last time from the wall, putting it on immediately as he followed Yingzi out the door.
As they walked, Yingzi made two urgent phone calls, sounding like she was calling for backup. Fei Hu found it quite strange; what exactly was this woman involved in?
"Hey bro, where is she?" a thug shouted, and soon five or six men wielding sticks surrounded Yingzi and Fei Hu. It looked like a fierce battle was about to begin, causing the residents nearby to hurriedly shut their doors and windows.
Being with a woman, how could he let her charge into danger first? Fei Hu thought to himself as he grabbed a mop from the corner of the wall and dashed forward, sweeping it across in an attack aimed at the thugs' lower bodies.
With a loud crack, the mop head broke off. What kind of quality was this? Fei Hu silently cursed. However, one thug was caught off guard and fell to the ground immediately. The remaining thugs were startled by Fei Hu's ferocity and took a big step back. One of them pointed a wooden stick at Fei Hu and said, "This isn't your business; stay out of it. As long as this woman hands over what we want, tonight's incident will be forgotten."
Upon hearing this, Yingzi immediately asked, "What do you want me to hand over?"
"Stop playing dumb; that camera phone the woman gave you!" The thug's voice was loud as if he believed Yingzi was trying to trick them.
Yingzi was furious upon hearing this; Xiaojun was too clever, not only deceiving this group of fools but also putting herself at risk. She shouted, "Are you all idiots? If the item is in my hands, why would I chase her?"
Upon hearing this, the blonde guy exchanged glances with the others, and they began to discuss among themselves. Suddenly, one who seemed to be their leader shouted, "Don't listen to her! It's better to wrongfully capture than to let go; otherwise, the boss will flay us alive."
Fei Hu didn't understand what they were saying, but he grasped the situation. To survive, they needed to take down their opponents. Without waiting for further discussion, Fei Hu suddenly kicked up into the air and struck the blonde guy who had just spoken. Caught off guard and with Fei Hu's powerful kick, the guy was sent flying against the wall and then bounced back down.
Before they even made a move, two of them were already down. The remaining few saw this and lost all will to fight. They waved their wooden sticks around in panic but dared not approach. Yingzi and Fei Hu exchanged glances and charged forward. After a flurry of sounds, their opponents were all defeated and lying on the ground. Yingzi, not daring to waste time, instinctively grabbed Fei Hu and ran towards another alley.
As soon as they entered the alley, a woman came running towards them and collided with Yingzi. It was none other than Xiaojun, who was drenched in sweat, gasping for breath, with several tears in her clothes.
Seeing no way out, Xiaojun quickly pulled out her phone from her pocket and said urgently, "I'll give you the item; just let me go! If they catch me, I'm done for!"
Xiaojun grabbed her phone and quickly opened the album section. A few images appeared immediately—just as Ye Cheng had described, Xiaojun was completely naked in Ye Cheng's embrace.
"You promise you haven't copied it anywhere else?" Yingzi asked sternly.
Xiaojun shook her head in fear and said anxiously, "No! Please let me go; they're coming after me!"
"Tell me who sent you to do this, and then you can leave," Yingzi insisted while holding onto Xiaojun, afraid she might run away.
Suddenly, a chaotic sound of footsteps approached from the other end of the alley. Following that, four or five blond guys surged out. Seeing this, Fei Hu quickly told Yingzi, "Run! We won't make it if we don't hurry!"
Startled, Yingzi loosened her grip just for a moment, and Xiaojun took off running into a side alley, disappearing in an instant. Fei Hu pulled Yingzi, but after just two steps they were blocked by four or five blond guys. With so many pursuing them from behind and more blocking them ahead, it was a narrow escape where only the brave would prevail. Without hesitation, Fei Hu charged forward against them. The others had weapons while he and Yingzi were unarmed; seeing their comrades approaching gave them extra courage to resist fiercely.
In an instant, they found themselves locked in a fierce struggle with these blond guys. Hearing the footsteps behind them getting closer made Fei Hu extremely anxious; if they got surrounded now, they would either be beaten to death or left half-paralyzed. With that thought in mind, a murderous intent surged within him. With a roar like a fierce tiger, he sprang forward, using his feet against the wall to propel himself upward before diving down towards two of the blond guys in the middle of the alley with lightning speed.
Two screams echoed through the alley on such a night—it sounded quite terrifying. The remaining blond guys were stunned; what stood before them was not just a person but a resurrected ancient hero. Taking advantage of their shock, Fei Hu pulled Yingzi along and swiftly turned into another alley.
Though it seemed there were many alleys here, Fei Hu knew best that there were only a few. Running around in such a small area felt vast to those who had never been here before.
"Fei Hu, this place is too big, I think I'm lost. You should check where we can get out; there are so many of them here, it's very disadvantageous for us," Yingzi said, panting as she ran.
Fei Hu remained silent, took a few quick steps, looked around, and seeing no one, pulled Yingzi into a small convenience store. He gestured for Yingzi to sit on a stool in front of the counter. The Fat Girl behind the counter was watching a Korean drama. When she looked up, surprised, she asked, "Are you here to buy something?"
Fei Hu quickly took off his mask. The Fat Girl's eyes widened in shock, and just as she was about to shout, Fei Hu hurriedly made a shushing gesture at her. Seeing Fei Hu's tense expression, the girl swallowed her words.
Yingzi hurriedly said, "This won't work! If they come over, they'll see us."
"This is called hiding in plain sight. Turn your face towards the counter," Fei Hu said as he grabbed a safety helmet from the shelf and placed it on Yingzi's head. He then signaled for the Fat Girl to bring two bottles of beer and a bag of peanuts. The two began to relax and eat while drinking.
At that moment, a group of blonde-haired people with sticks ran past the front of the convenience store without even looking inside. Yingzi couldn't help but give Fei Hu a thumbs up and quietly praised him, "Hey! I didn't expect you to be not only brave but also clever; it seems you're quite the hidden expert."
"A thousand-mile horse awaits its master," Fei Hu said, intentionally making a funny face to ease the tension.
The Fat Girl inside the counter heard this and scoffed, saying dismissively, "A thousand-mile donkey would be more like it; not a thousand-mile horse."
When Yingzi heard this, she burst out laughing and almost sprayed her beer everywhere. Fei Hu turned around and noticed that there was a tear in Yingzi's shirt on her shoulder with blood seeping through.
Fei Hu was startled and asked, "What happened? Are you hurt? Is it serious?"
Yingzi shook her hair back and smiled nonchalantly, "It's nothing serious."
