When Ye Wei saw Ye Xiaofei, he wore a big smile. Ye Xiaofei remained silent, her eyes fixed on this sly guy, wondering what he was up to.
"Xiaofei! I've been so busy lately that I've neglected you. But we're family, and I believe you can understand. Running around every day without my own car is tough. This car is just bought for you by the company," Ye Wei said, tossing the car keys onto the table in front of Ye Xiaofei.
This unexpected move caught Ye Xiaofei off guard. She thought Ye Wei had come to stir up trouble, but instead, he was giving her a car. The gesture felt heavy; should she accept it or not? Ye Xiaofei was momentarily at a loss.
Ye Wei, with his big belly, smiled and said, "What's wrong, Xiaofei? Don't you like it? Or do you have something against your second uncle? Feel free to speak up; I have time today. We can have a good chat."
What could they possibly talk about? Ye Xiaofei's mind raced. Why wouldn't she want it? He said it was a gift from the company, not something he bought out of his own pocket. With that thought in mind, Ye Xiaofei immediately stood up and smiled at Ye Wei, saying, "I like it! How could I not like a car? If you're asking if I have any complaints about you, then no, I really don't."
"Hahaha, you really know how to talk! If that's the case, then I'm relieved. You're busy, so I'll take my leave now. When you have time, let's chat. After all, we're family; blood is thicker than water," Ye Wei said before turning to leave.
Ugh, how shameless! He can say such things with a straight face; his skin must be thicker than a city wall. Ye Xiaofei spat at Ye Wei's retreating figure and then laughed at herself for such an action that seemed so out of character for her elegant demeanor.
Ye Xiaofei sat back down, feeling an indescribable impulse. After all her hard work over the past few days, it seemed her efforts were not in vain. With such important information in hand, once the board meeting convened, Ye Wei would surely be out of a job.
In the parking lot on the first floor, Fei Hu looked at the newly arrived BMW Z4 and felt incredibly happy. Although this car wasn't for him to drive, he loved this type of vehicle—the red exterior and sports car design made it not only eye-catching but also fast. Fei Hu was so engrossed that he almost lost himself in thought as if the car belonged to him.
"What are you doing here? Where's your post?" A woman's voice came from behind him.
Fei Hu quickly turned around and was taken aback to see Ye Xiaofei standing there with a serious expression. This woman was both likable and intimidating; she always carried herself with an air of superiority that made Fei Hu very uncomfortable.
"I asked you a question; are you mute?" Ye Xiaofei pressed on when she saw Fei Hu ignoring her inquiry.
Fei Hu thought to himself, since death is inevitable, why should he fear her? He straightened his chest and said loudly, "I passed by and saw something beautiful, so I came to take a look."
"Beautiful? It seems you really haven't seen a good car," Ye Xiaofei deliberately provoked Fei Hu. She had been brooding over this matter, believing that Fei Hu was intentionally flirting with her. She would not go easy on someone who dared to disrespect her.
Upon hearing this, Fei Hu felt a bit angry at first, but he quickly calmed down and smiled, saying, "Us poor folks have never seen anything good; these are all for you rich people."
Hey, a security guard speaking like he has some level of sophistication? As the conversation went on, Ye Xiaofei realized she wasn't gaining any advantage, so she thought for a moment and said to Fei Hu, "Is that so? Then I'll let you enjoy it too. Come with me for a spin and see how this car performs."
Fei Hu's heart leaped with joy at the thought of the goddess inviting him to test drive a car, something he had dreamed of. But did he really have such good luck? What if this woman was looking for an opportunity to get back at him? However, he couldn't figure out how she would take revenge while they were out together. So he pretended to be disinterested and said, "No way, I'm just here to stand guard."
Ye Xiaofei didn't expect him to have some backbone. Most men would be thrilled to hear her say that. But it didn't matter if he didn't want to go; after all, he was her employee.
Sitting in the lobby, Fei Hu was filled with frustration. It seemed that without money or status, beautiful women wouldn't give him the time of day. He had just been ridiculed by Ye Xiaofei, which left him feeling somewhat wounded. He realized he needed to become stronger; he had to possess at least one of money or status; otherwise, his life would feel meaningless.
Just as Fei Hu was contemplating how to become stronger, the security team leader ran over and shouted from afar, "You go accompany Miss Ye to test the new car. Remember to be careful; if anything happens, I'll hold you responsible."
What? Could it be that this stunning beauty had taken an interest in him? Fei Hu felt ecstatic but immediately rejected the team leader's request. He shouted back, "Find someone else! I'm not going!"
Fei Hu knew very well that this woman calling him multiple times couldn't mean anything good.
The team leader's expression changed upon hearing this. He raised his voice and said, "This is work; you have to go as assigned. You think you're so important now? The president wants you to accompany her for a test drive—this is such a good opportunity that even I want in! But she's specifically asking for you; don't act all high and mighty with me."
Seeing that the team leader was genuinely angry, Fei Hu realized he couldn't push it too far unless he wanted to lose his job. Reluctantly, he stood up and started walking away.
In the BMW Z4, Ye Xiaofei watched Fei Hu approach her with a slight smirk on her lips. It seemed she was thinking, "You finally fell for it; just wait and see how I deal with you."
Fei Hu got into the car and sat in the passenger seat. He glanced at Ye Xiaofei and softly said, "Can we go now?"
Ye Xiaofei nodded, her smile beautiful, which made Fei Hu feel like he could almost fly. This woman was already stunning, and with her sweet smile, she could rival the four great beauties of ancient times! Fei Hu's wariness towards Ye Xiaofei gradually faded away.
Ye Xiaofei's snow-white, well-proportioned thighs flexed slightly, and the Z4 roared as it sped toward the company's entrance. Team Leader Wang had opened the iron gate early, standing straight and watching them leave. Fei Hu suddenly felt that being in a position of authority was quite enjoyable.
As Ye Xiaofei drove, she chatted with Fei Hu, leaving him puzzled. He never expected this Beautiful CEO to be so gentle that she could easily charm many men. Regardless, Fei Hu couldn't care less; he answered Ye Xiaofei's questions while his eyes wandered, occasionally glancing at her snow-white thighs. This was what they called dying under the peony flower—being a ghost was still romantic.
Ye Xiaofei was very familiar with the traffic routes in City A. In no time, the Z4 reached the outskirts and headed toward a small mountain. Fei Hu, sitting beside her, was a bit confused and quietly reminded Ye Xiaofei, "Miss Ye, we can head back now; this is a mountain road and might be difficult to navigate."
"Ha ha, it's fine. Climbing a mountain is the best way to test the car's performance. Buckle up; I'm going to accelerate," Ye Xiaofei said as she pressed down on the accelerator. The winds from both sides howled as Fei Hu instinctively grabbed the overhead handle in the car.
In a short while, they crested the small hill, and Ye Xiaofei finally stopped the car. She smiled at Fei Hu and said, "Get out and check the rear tire; I have a feeling it's losing air. It’s been quite bumpy sitting here."
Fei Hu thought to himself that she was really delicate; he felt nothing unusual, let alone any bumps. However, since the CEO had asked him to check, he felt embarrassed not to comply. He got out of the car and climbed down only to curse inwardly upon seeing that everything seemed fine with the tire. Just as he was about to stand up, the Z4 suddenly emitted a puff of black smoke and sped off in a hurry, making a sharp turn back in the direction they came from.
Fei Hu realized he had been tricked, but it was too late. They were on a desolate ridge where no vehicles passed by; there were hardly any people around either. He sat down by the roadside and cursed Ye Xiaofei's ancestors repeatedly in his mind. He never expected this woman to be so cunning; they were far from their starting point—at least thirty or forty kilometers away—and if he had to run back, he couldn't imagine how exhausting it would be.
After sitting there for over ten minutes without seeing a single vehicle pass by, any glimmer of hope in his heart finally shattered. If he didn't run back, did he plan to wait here until he starved?
Fei Hu moved his ankles a bit and then took off running. Goodness! Running up the mountain left him breathless in no time. Ye Xiaofei was indeed ruthless; she had specifically chosen this mountain for him. By the time Fei Hu reached the summit, he felt like he was about to collapse from exhaustion, sweat soaking through all his clothes.
"Come down quickly; I'll be waiting for you here," a woman's voice echoed through the mountains. Fei Hu looked up and realized it was Ye Xiaofei.
