This woman has never had a good expression towards Fei Hu, yet Fei Hu is infatuated with her. He awkwardly smiled and said, "No! She's not as pretty as you."
"Be serious! Be careful or I'll kick you out. If I had known she would take you to Hong Kong, I wouldn't have approved it. You can just show off here!" Ye Xiaofei glared fiercely at Fei Hu and turned to enter the elevator.
"You're such a pain," Fei Hu thought to himself, feeling frustrated that he had complimented her looks. It would have been better to say she looked like a pig; at least then he wouldn't have been scolded.
Fei Hu sat in his seat, feeling a bit gloomy and still angry about Ye Xiaofei's coldness when suddenly the elevator doors opened with a whoosh. Yingzi walked out from inside. It was rare to see her in the office after working there for so long.
"Hey! Where have you been these days? I haven't seen you around, and your phone was off!" Yingzi called out to Fei Hu from a distance.
One person was as cold as ice, while the other was warm and welcoming. Fei Hu shook his head helplessly and replied softly, "I was on a business trip and just got back today, so you didn't see me."
Yingzi walked over, still carefree, her beautiful face framed by her flowing hair. She nodded and said, "So what if you were on a business trip? Why turn off your phone? It's hard to find you."
Seeing Yingzi made all the anger from earlier vanish instantly. He smiled and said, "I went to Hong Kong, and my phone couldn't be used there."
"Oh! Not bad! But you're not being a good friend for not giving me a heads-up. How about this: tonight at Juyixuan, you're treating me to tea. You can't back out of this; I have something important to discuss with you later," Yingzi said with a sweet smile as she walked out of the lobby.
Ah, the difference between people can be so vast. If only Ye Xiaofei were a little nicer to him, Fei Hu thought he might even wake up smiling from a dream. But she always acted like she was in the right; it wasn't his fault. If only Ye Xiaofei weren't so impulsive, her strap wouldn't pop open, and her chest wouldn't be exposed. They wouldn't have had any conflicts; perhaps he could even win her over. Just thinking about it made Fei Hu feel happy inside.
After work, Fei Hu went home and brought a box of chocolates for Fat Girl, which made the chubby girl laugh joyfully for quite some time, looking completely satisfied. This is the difference between people, Fei Hu thought; he was somewhat similar to Fat Girl.
After taking a shower, Fei Hu changed into the new outfit that Sun Li bought for him and felt much fresher. During this time, he had been paying special attention to his appearance because he realized that when he tidied himself up a bit, he looked somewhat handsome.
Juyixuan was not far from where Fei Hu lived; it took about twenty minutes on foot to get there. The entrance looked classical yet elegant with impressive decor. As Fei Hu stood hesitating outside whether to go in first, Yingzi suddenly leaned out of the second-floor window and called down to him, "Come on up! Room 218!"
The environment here is truly elegant. Yingzi really knows how to choose a place. Sipping tea while looking out at the bustling scenery, with people coming and going and cars passing by, it’s quite lively. Yingzi poured a cup of brewed tea for Fei Hu and handed it to him with a smile, asking, "Have you recently started dating someone? You seem like a different person."
"That's not true. I'm broke and have nothing to my name, not even a bicycle. What kind of woman would be interested in me?" Fei Hu joked.
Wang Qian, overhearing this, laughed heartily and said, "I didn't expect you to be so funny. It seems that not only your appearance has changed, but your inner self is gradually transforming as well. This shows progress; living in a big city requires adaptability and an open mind."
Fei Hu nodded, feeling that Yingzi was absolutely right. He should move in this direction.
As for the tea, Fei Hu could tell it was not the Chrysanthemum tea he usually drank; it must be high-quality leaves. Watching Fei Hu enjoy the tea, Yingzi couldn't help but smile and tease, "Is this tea hard to drink? Is it not as good as your Chrysanthemum?"
"Each has its merits! But this pot of tea is indeed delicious," Fei Hu replied while glancing at Yingzi. The woman sitting across from him had an extraordinary beauty, yet he felt completely calm and free of any chaotic thoughts.
"Sorry to bother you again, but I need your help with something. I hope it's convenient for you," Yingzi said with her big eyes sparkling as she looked at Fei Hu, her gaze seemingly urging him to agree.
Fei Hu paused with the teacup near his lips and softly asked, "What is it? Just tell me! As long as I can do it, I will definitely help you."
Yingzi's big eyes twinkled before she continued with a soft laugh, "I want to take a trip somewhere far away and would like you to accompany me. I wonder if you..."
Hey! Why am I suddenly so lucky with women? I just returned from a business trip with the beautiful Vice President, and now another gorgeous woman wants me to accompany her. I wonder if I'll get to share a bed with her like in Hong Kong. Fei Hu thought to himself, feeling delighted and unable to suppress a proud smile.
Yingzi waved her fingers in front of Fei Hu's face and playfully scolded, "I'm talking to you, yet you're daydreaming about beautiful women. Is there anyone like you?"
Seeing that Yingzi was unhappy, Fei Hu quickly wiped the smile off his face and asked seriously, "What are we going for? You need to be clear about that. Besides, I still have work; you know that."
"I'm going to the countryside with my grandfather. It's a poor area, and I've heard the roads aren't very safe. So I’d like you to accompany me for protection. Will you do me this favor?" Yingzi said, her face revealing an expression of anticipation.
Fei Hu shook his head and said, "There's really no need for that! You seem to be overreacting. The current society is quite safe, so what's there to worry about? Besides, if a few petty thieves show up, they wouldn't be enough for you to handle, so I don't need to go." After saying this, Fei Hu took a big sip of tea.
Yingzi didn't expect Fei Hu to refuse her so tactfully, which made her feel a bit awkward. However, she understood his refusal very well. Every time there was danger, she would drag him into it. This time, going out was definitely risky; if anything happened to Fei Hu, it would be very difficult to deal with.
The atmosphere suddenly became tense as neither of them spoke. After a few minutes, Fei Hu couldn't hold back any longer and said, "It's not that I don't want to help you; it's just that I think it's unnecessary. Also, helping you is a personal matter, but my work situation complicates things."
Upon hearing this, Yingzi realized she had misunderstood Fei Hu's intentions. Her face turned slightly red as she said, "To be honest, this matter does carry some risk. I'm afraid I won't be able to handle it alone, which is why I'm asking for your help. As for the company matters, I'll speak directly with the chairman; I'm sure he will grant me this favor."
Once Fei Hu heard this, he couldn't refuse any longer and nodded in agreement. "If that's the case, then I'll go. You handle things at the company, and I won't have any worries."
Fei Hu thought that being so agreeable would make Yingzi happy, but he saw her looking down and fiddling with her cup as if she were contemplating something. After a while, she finally looked up and softly said to Fei Hu, "You need to think this through; there is indeed some danger involved. If you decide not to go, I won't hold it against you; we can still be friends."
"Well then, since we're friends, I have nothing more to say. I'll go for my friend; that's what a man should do," Fei Hu said as he patted his solid chest.
Yingzi finally smiled happily and thanked him repeatedly. It seemed that this trip was not going to be easy for her; Fei Hu had already sensed that from her demeanor.
The two continued talking about various topics, but most of what Fei Hu shared were his experiences from his recent trip to Hong Kong. This was his first significant wealth and would serve as capital for future conversations.
When they parted ways, Fei Hu repeatedly reminded Yingzi that his identity must remain concealed and that he would wear a mask the entire way. He was still cautious; the pursuit by the Dragon Tiger Gang had just subsided, and he didn't want any trouble at home while things were settling down outside.
Yingzi readily agreed and even mentioned wanting to give Fei Hu an eye mask she had brought from abroad. With that, they parted on good terms and returned home. However, when Yingzi arrived back at the villa, she found everyone gathered around a table waiting for her return.
