Ye Cheng looked confused as he pulled Ye Xiaofei into his arms and softly asked, "What's wrong, child? Who tricked you? Please tell me clearly."
"It was those two who teamed up to deceive me. This guy is not named Fei Hu; he is just a lousy security guard from our Shengwei Group, named Fei Hu. I hate this person; tell him to go away," Ye Xiaofei said, bursting into tears, looking very sad.
Upon hearing this, Fei Hu hurriedly touched his face. It was over; he had accidentally removed his eye mask while sleeping earlier. Damn it, he thought, it was like bowing down in front of everyone. He didn't expect to be exposed; if he had known this would happen, he might as well not have worn it. These past few days had been unbearable.
"Don't be unreasonable and spout nonsense. No matter who he is, our lives were given to us by him," Ye Cheng suddenly changed his expression, causing Ye Xiaofei to stop crying. In truth, she was angry that Fei Hu and Yingzi had kept things from her. She felt like she had been fooled these days, which made her feel wronged.
Yingzi stood there unsure of how to speak; she remained silent. However, Ye Cheng smiled and said, "Oh! So you all know each other; isn't that a good thing? Come here, let me see your true face."
Fei Hu scratched his head awkwardly and walked over. Ye Cheng took his hand and looked him up and down. Suddenly, Ye Cheng asked in surprise, "Did you used to have long hair?"
"Yes!" Fei Hu felt a surge of joy; it seemed Ye Cheng recognized him.
Ye Cheng stepped forward abruptly and asked with a trembling voice, "A few months ago, did you save an old man by the river?"
Fei Hu remained silent but nodded silently.
Upon hearing this, Yingzi and Ye Xiaofei widened their eyes in disbelief. They had been running around trying to find this person for days, only to discover he was right beside them.
Night fell in the mountains, and it was truly dark—except for the distant twinkling lights of the village, it was pitch black. Ye Cheng pulled Fei Hu into the back seat of the car. The old man looked excited while Ye Xiaofei and Yingzi leaned in from the front seat to listen as Fei Hu recounted his experiences since saving Ye Cheng. Everyone listened with a mix of anger and regret.
"This bastard is too ruthless; he even won't spare the person who saved me," Ye Cheng slammed his fist on the seat in frustration, looking extremely authoritative. It seemed that the Dragon Tiger Gang leader was not just talk.
After a while, Ye Cheng calmed himself down and turned back to Fei Hu with a kind expression. "I won't say thank you because you gave this old man a second life. I understand gratitude and repaying kindness. Xiaofei, listen carefully: Fei Hu is a great benefactor of our Ye Family; you must never forget this. Do you understand?"
"I understand," Ye Xiaofei pouted her lips. Fei Hu could clearly sense her reluctance; it seemed he no longer held any status in her heart. Even if he did hundreds of good deeds, it might not make her forget what happened in the elevator.
At this moment, Yingzi was anxious because she hadn't had a chance to speak until now. Finally, it was her turn. She shot an annoyed glare at Fei Hu and angrily said, "Wow! You really know how to disguise yourself; how dare you run to Shengwei as a security guard! You almost turned A City upside down because of me! I can't believe you were right under our noses."
"I had no idea about any of this. If I had known that the chairman of Sheng Wei and Ye Wu were both members of the Dragon Tiger Gang, and even brothers, how could I have thrown myself into this? Besides, although we met early on, you never mentioned anything about this, so we just missed each other," Fei Hu explained with a smile to Yingzi.
"Alright, let's leave the past behind! After going around in circles like this, being able to recognize each other under these circumstances is indeed our fate. We should cherish it. Xiaofei, listen carefully, no matter what grievances you had with Fei Hu in the past, they must be wiped clean now. I don't want to see you bully him again; otherwise, Grandpa won't let you off easily," Ye Cheng said with a smile as he patted Ye Xiaofei on the head.
Ye Xiaofei rolled her eyes and coldly snorted, "If he doesn't bully me, I'll be grateful. How could I possibly bully him? Am I even capable of that?"
Her manner of speaking made everyone laugh.
Time was getting late, and everyone was so engrossed in conversation that they completely forgot about going home. From Ye Cheng's talk, Fei Hu realized that the internal strife within the Dragon Tiger Gang had escalated to a life-or-death level; no wonder some people wouldn't spare him either.
"Hey! Fei Hu, I remember giving you a capsule at the hospital. I wonder if you still have it. I want to see what kind of medicine it was that almost ruined my reputation for half my life," Ye Cheng finally recalled this matter, which was crucial evidence against him.
Fei Hu slapped his forehead and said, "I almost forgot about that. The medicine is still here; however, through a friend at the hospital, I've already tested its main ingredient."
"Oh! Then tell me quickly, what is the ingredient of this medicine?" Ye Cheng asked eagerly.
Fei Hu hesitated for a moment and whispered, "The main ingredient is imported Viagra." As soon as he finished speaking, he quickly glanced at Yingzi and Ye Xiaofei before lowering his head.
"What? Viagra? That's outrageous; giving such medicine to an old man!" Yingzi couldn't help but curse. Fei Hu thought that girls generally wouldn't know what Viagra was for; it seemed he was the only one who was completely clueless.
The atmosphere in the car became somewhat awkward. Ye Cheng certainly knew what Viagra was, and Ye Xiaofei didn't need any explanation; having lived in America for many years, she might not have eaten pork but had definitely seen pigs run.
To break the momentary silence, Fei Hu raised his head and gently asked Ye Cheng, "Do you still want me to bring back that medicine?"
"No need. Since we know the result now, whether there’s medicine or not makes no difference. This medicine is a supplement; it's not poison. Even if it goes to court, it won't have much effect since this evidence wasn't directly present at the scene but passed through many hands over such a long time. So it's better not to bother," Ye Xiaofei reasoned very logically.
Ye Cheng nodded in agreement with Ye Xiaofei's reasoning. After a while, he sighed and said, "Let's end this matter here. Since Fei Hu's identity hasn't been exposed yet, let's keep it confidential for now. Once I've dealt with those two scoundrels, I'll thank you properly," Ye Cheng said while patting Fei Hu on the shoulder like an old friend.
Yingzi thought for a moment and said, "I think it's more appropriate for Fei Hu to interact with us under the identity of a security guard from Shengwei Group. This way, Sister Xiaofei can freely mobilize him without attracting anyone's attention. Now that Fei Hu has changed his original appearance, if no one says anything, nobody will recognize him."
"Move around as you please, what do you want? Do you really think of me as your servant, to use however you like? However, Ye Xiaofei is quite willing to warm the bed for him," Fei Hu couldn't help but start to daydream again.
Yingzi glanced at her watch and said to Ye Cheng, "Grandpa, we should get going. If nothing unexpected happens on the road, we will likely arrive in City A by dawn." Ye Cheng nodded, and everyone prepared to set off.
Fei Hu got out of the car and ran to sit in the front vehicle. Yingzi looked at Ye Xiaofei and teased her, "How about we switch? You drive for Grandpa while I sit in the front car."
"Why?" Ye Xiaofei pretended not to understand.
Yingzi covered her mouth and laughed, "Didn’t you just say that you really dislike him? Then why sit together?"
"I want to! I want to annoy him!" Ye Xiaofei said, waving her fist at the car before pulling open the door and jumping in. Ye Cheng looked at his willful granddaughter and smiled inwardly.
Once inside the car, Ye Xiaofei glanced at Fei Hu and said, "Some people better behave themselves. If they don't change their lecherous ways, I might just make them a eunuch." With that, she stuck her tongue out at Fei Hu.
Fei Hu didn't expect that Ye Xiaofei would drop her president persona and be so funny; he couldn't help but laugh.
"Some people look worse when they smile than when they cry. I hope he doesn't come out to scare anyone at this late hour," Ye Xiaofei said as she stepped on the gas, causing the BMW to leap forward erratically.
Fei Hu hurriedly closed his eyes; at this moment, he dared not provoke her. If he annoyed her, Ye Xiaofei had plenty of tricks up her sleeve.
The two cars traveled through the pitch-black night, with a few beams of light illuminating the way home.
