After Fei Hu approached Little Four, he lowered his voice and said, "Are you thinking of leaving? If you can jump down from the rooftop, I'll let you go. Otherwise, just stay put. Everyone here is a big shot from the Dragon Tiger Gang. You better watch out or I might just throw you off this place."
Upon hearing this, Little Four's expression changed immediately. He glanced at Fei Hu in fear and took a step back, feeling a bit anxious. The young man's words were quite bold, but it was true; this was the Dragon Tiger Gang's Annual Meeting. If he acted recklessly, he might really get thrown off the rooftop. It was better to prioritize his safety, so Little Four slowly sat back down in his original spot, and the situation quietly calmed down.
The sounds of rock-paper-scissors and toasting echoed on the rooftop, with Ye Wu's close associates being the most frequent drinkers. Although he was burning with anger inside today, he couldn't resist everyone's persuasion and gradually began to drink more.
Beside him, Ye Wei felt extremely frustrated for not being the center of attention today. Ye Wu was clearly bullying him; his two hundred thousand investment felt utterly wasted without any return. He couldn't let this go; he had to find a way to vent his frustration.
After handling matters on the rooftop, Fei Hu and Yingzi returned to the room on the third floor. They analyzed their previous conversation, and in the end, Fei Hu suggested that Ye Cheng should leave first. This way, even if something went wrong later, it wouldn't be a big deal. Yingzi thought for a moment and said, "Alright, I agree with this plan. But we need to wait until everyone has had enough to drink and is nearly out of it before the old man leaves so that it won't attract attention."
Fei Hu nodded and together with Yingzi went back to the rooftop. At that moment, the rooftop was in chaos; everyone was drinking freely and looking for people to toast. With so many people around, if someone couldn't handle their liquor, they would be out cold after just visiting three or four tables—let alone finishing all of them. Fei Hu noticed that most of those drinking were already quite tipsy; given another ten minutes or so, there would be a lot of people sprawled out.
Fei Hu and Yingzi exchanged nods and headed straight for Ye Cheng. The old man hadn't drunk a drop today; he had held up well and was chatting and joking with several other elders in the gang.
Yingzi leaned close to his ear and whispered a few words. He then stood up and told the other two elders, "You keep drinking; I'm going to the restroom." After saying that, he walked toward the stairway. At that moment, no one paid him any mind; they were all focused on their drinks.
Once downstairs, Fei Hu said to Yingzi, "I'll take Mr. Ye back. There's not much going on upstairs anymore. You coordinate with Xiaofei to get everyone onto the bus and send them back to Lihua Hotel."
Yingzi thought for a moment before pulling out her car keys and said, "You drive my car; it can pick up speed when needed. You'd better bring more people; we won't need too many here."
Fei Hu waved at a woman wearing an eye mask by the door. When she approached, he lowered his voice and said, "You, along with Xiao Qi and Feng Jie, come with me. Once we're done, you hurry upstairs and inform Bald Zhang to gather everyone and fully cooperate with Yingzi's work. If anything goes wrong, I won't let him off easily." The woman nodded and ran upstairs.
Fei Hu approached Ye Cheng's car and quietly said to Brother Dong inside, "After we leave, pay attention to the vehicles around us. It's best to shake them off; if you can't, just stop and brake, pushing them ahead. Remember, I'm less than ten meters behind you. If you need to brake suddenly, give me a signal with your taillights." Brother Dong nodded.
After a while, three women wearing eye masks got into Fei Hu's car. With a gentle start, the two cars silently drove out of the Farmhouse Fun's gate and headed towards the main road.
Just after running for about five or six hundred meters, the car in front suddenly braked hard. Fei Hu thought to himself that they were coming in fast. He gently swerved his car and parked it parallel to Ye Cheng's vehicle. Only then did Fei Hu notice that about thirty meters ahead, a large truck had overturned, completely blocking both lanes of the road. It seemed that passing through here was impossible for the time being.
Fei Hu didn't have time to consider whether it was a coincidence or deliberate; he shouted to Brother Dong, "Cross the median and turn back. Let's take a detour. Can your car handle it?"
Brother Dong extended his hand out of the window and made an "OK" gesture before speeding towards the median. Fortunately, both cars managed to cross over smoothly. Luckily, this was a suburban area with not many vehicles on the road. Even so, some drivers were startled and honked their horns from afar, thinking they had encountered a Divine Essence illness with such reckless driving.
A-Lian in the car reminded Fei Hu, "What are you doing? The road is blocked for everyone; we can wait a bit before leaving. Where do you plan to go?"
Fei Hu pressed down harder on the accelerator, maintaining a distance of about twenty meters from Brother Dong's car. He sighed and said to A-Lian, "Let's get up ahead and find another route."
"Haha, boss, there's no road ahead; it leads straight to the seaside. You didn't think to ask me?" Xiao Qi in the back seat looked gleeful, completely unaware that danger was about to strike.
"What?" Fei Hu exclaimed in surprise, but it was already too late. He saw the car ahead slowly come to a stop. Slamming on the brakes, he pulled over to the side of the road and got out to take a look, only to be dumbfounded—it turned out they had arrived at a container terminal. What should he do now? Anxiously scratching his head, he felt like jumping up and down.
Brother Dong opened his car door and stepped out, politely asking Fei Hu, "What should we do now? We could turn around at the cargo yard and head back, but it's still blocked ahead. What do you think we should do?" Brother Dong also looked anxious.
At that moment, Fei Hu's phone rang. He quickly took it out and saw it was Yingzi calling. She asked anxiously, "Where are you guys? Is everything okay?"
"Nothing's wrong on our end. How about you? We're stuck in traffic and ended up at the terminal unexpectedly," Fei Hu replied to Yingzi.
Yingzi paused for a moment on the phone and said, "When everyone found out that Grandpa had left, they basically scattered. They didn't want to take the bus back because some knew there was a traffic jam ahead, so they all walked away. Now it's just me, Xiaofei, and Sister Wu left, along with your friends."
"Alright, you first arrange for my friends to have a meal. We have no choice but to return to Farmhouse Fun. We'll leave together once the road clears," Fei Hu said, making a gesture to Brother Dong to indicate a return.
After taking a long detour, they finally returned. As soon as the car stopped, Yingzi, Ye Xiaofei, and Sister Wu came over. Ye Xiaofei glanced at the somewhat tired Ye Cheng and softly asked, "Grandpa, are you very tired? Should I book you a room so you can rest for a bit?"
Ye Cheng shook his head and remained silent, his eyes slightly closed. At over seventy years old, he surely hadn't slept well last night and had gotten up early this morning. He had been busy since then, and even the young people felt a bit exhausted.
Fei Hu looked at Yingzi and quietly asked, "Are they all eating?"
Yingzi nodded but didn't say anything. Seeing Ye Cheng like this made her heart ache as well. Fei Hu understood Yingzi's feelings and said to Brother Dong, "You carry Mr. Ye upstairs so he can rest for a while. I'll notify you when the road is clear."
"Slow down; just hand him over to us. Carrying him upstairs is too strenuous; it's surprising you even thought of that," said a voice as five men wearing stockings on their heads and holding guns walked in through the front door. The one in the middle was short and had an empty left sleeve; he was actually one-armed. Everyone had been busy talking earlier and hadn't noticed where this group had come from.
The atmosphere immediately became tense as these armed men pointed their guns at everyone in the yard. The One-Armed Man threatened as he walked, "Those who are afraid of dying should hide in the back; it’s best if you go upstairs. Those who aren't afraid of dying can come forward." As he spoke, he pulled the trigger, and bang! A bullet hit the concrete floor, sparking.
Fei Hu then saw that these men's gun barrels were fitted with long tubes; they were silencers. No wonder the sound was so quiet—he had only seen such scenes in movies before and never expected to encounter it in real life.
The One-Armed Man waved his hand and said, "Have Ye Cheng write an appointment letter for Ye Wu to take over as the leader of Dragon Tiger Gang immediately. Sign his name on it. As long as he complies with my demands, I won’t make things difficult for anyone here. If he disobeys, then you all will accompany him to his grave!" The One-Armed Man's words were as cold as ice, sending shivers down everyone's spine upon hearing them.
