The conversation between the two had reached a deadlock. Fei Hu felt quite embarrassed; they had come to chat and have fun, but if they just sat there in silence, it would be too dull. 0

Just then, the bar's music suddenly switched to "Silent Ending," and Helena's expression grew even darker. Fei Hu quickly suggested in a low voice, "Should we go for a walk? It's a bit stuffy in here." 0

To his surprise, Helena readily nodded and saved the remaining half bottle of red wine. This made Fei Hu realize once again that unfinished wine could be stored; he felt quite outdated. 0

Under the neon lights of City A, there was an alluring charm. Pairs of young men and women were linked arm in arm, displaying affection. Occasionally, a little girl selling fresh flowers would weave through the crowd, cheerfully calling out, "Brother, sister, you look so beautiful! Buy a bouquet for her!" It was all very pleasant to hear. 0

When Helena saw the little girl approaching them, she gently tugged at Fei Hu and laughed as they both ran away. Fei Hu understood that Helena was trying to spare him any embarrassment. 0

Unknowingly, they had walked quite a distance. To break the silence, Fei Hu smiled and asked, "You're a local, right? I can tell you have a deep affection for this place." 0

"Yes! I'm a local. My ancestors have lived here for generations. I'm an only child; my parents both work, so I don't have much pressure. We own two houses, and during the Spring Festival, my parents said they would buy me a car," Helena said with a blissful smile that made Fei Hu envious. He couldn't understand why she was sharing this with him—was she hinting at something? 0

Suddenly, a disheveled woman ran out from an alley ahead of them. Upon seeing Fei Hu and Helena, she immediately collapsed at Fei Hu's feet, shouting desperately, "Two Kind-Hearted People, save me!" Before her words faded, four or five oddly dressed young men rushed out from the alley. 0

Leading the pack was a tall and thin guy wearing a black casual suit on top and black shorts below, with flip-flops on his feet. Although it wasn't winter yet, the chilly autumn evening breeze in City A still felt cool against the skin. Fei Hu was confused about what was happening; both he and Helena were somewhat startled. 0

"You two get out of the way! Mind your own business!" Suit Man shouted as he charged towards Fei Hu, pointing his finger arrogantly while panting heavily. 0

The woman at Fei Hu's feet clung tightly to his legs upon seeing Suit Man as if she had seen a ghost. She kept crying out, "Help me! They aren't human!" 0

Suit Man saw that Fei Hu and Helena were not speaking, waved his hand, and shouted to the several people behind him, "Drag this bitch back for me, don't let her embarrass me on the street." 0

Suddenly, the four men behind Suit Man pounced like wolves from both sides. The woman at Fei Hu's feet trembled like a sieve, clearly terrified. Fei Hu couldn't help but feel a bit angry; it seemed unreasonable for so many men to deal with just one woman. 0

"Wait! What's going on? Explain clearly before taking anyone away," Fei Hu suddenly extended his hand and said loudly. At this moment, some passersby who enjoyed watching the commotion stopped in their tracks and slowly gathered around. 0

Seeing this, Suit Man widened his eyes and angrily shouted, "You dare meddle in my business with Lai Er? It seems like you’re asking for trouble; take care of him!" 0

Upon hearing this, Fei Hu hurriedly pulled the woman up from the ground and pushed her towards Helena. Just as he got into position, those guys lunged at him, throwing punches and kicks. Fortunately, Fei Hu was quite skilled; after a couple of exchanges, all that could be heard were screams. By the time Fei Hu regained his stance, the men who had attacked him were all lying obediently on the ground. 0

The one who called himself Lai Er, seeing his subordinates so useless, shouted loudly to save face in front of everyone. He charged over like a monkey, throwing punches and kicks with great enthusiasm. Fei Hu merely dodged left and right without throwing a single punch; any onlooker could see that he was toying with his opponent. 0

After playing around for a while, Fei Hu felt it was enough. Suddenly, he struck out and blocked Lai Er's arm. All that could be heard was a scream as Lai Er fell to the ground. Fei Hu thought to himself that this guy was quite the actor; he hadn’t even hit him in a vital spot—just blocked him—and yet here he was on the ground. Several of Lai Er's subordinates crawled over, shouting loudly, "Second Brother, are you okay? You can't just go like this!" 0

Helena quickly came over and whispered, "We should leave; he seems to really be hurt." Fei Hu looked confused; he felt he hadn't used much force—what was really going on? 0

At that moment, several motorcycles roared in with sirens blaring. When Fei Hu saw this, it was too late; there was no time to escape. The police parked their cars and quickly took control of the scene. One officer approached and checked Lai Er's nostrils; looking somewhat flustered, he picked up his radio and shouted loudly, "110 Command Center, send an ambulance to Lychee Road, number 0213587." 0

Only then did Fei Hu vaguely sense that something was off. Had he accidentally hurt someone? He still couldn't believe this fact. After questioning several of Lai Er's subordinates for a while, the police walked over to Fei Hu. Just as he was about to explain himself properly, a young male police officer around his age coldly said, "You'll have your chance to talk at the station." 0

Seeing this, Helena rushed over and shouted at the police, "Why are you arresting him randomly? He only fought back to save her! Besides, he didn't hit him hard; he just fell down! You can ask the people around who were watching!" 0

"Xiao Li, take them all to the station for statements; the police car is on its way." A woman's voice came from behind Fei Hu. He turned around to see a young female officer standing there. She looked quite young but had an elegant appearance with red lips and white teeth. Dressed in a fitted police uniform, she exuded confidence and grace that rivaled any man. 0

Just as Fei Hu was lost in thought, a police officer rushed over and said to the female officer, "Ni Team, the bureau wants us to take these people back quickly." 0

Wow! So young and already a team leader. Fei Hu couldn't help but take another look at Ni Team, pushing aside what had just happened. 0

Helena was shouting and refusing to get into the police car. Fei Hu walked over and softly said, "It's okay, it's just to take a statement. You'll be back soon. Those who are innocent have nothing to worry about; just cooperate a little." 0

"You don't know anything! Once you're in there, you won't get out so easily," Helena almost cried out. 0

Fei Hu didn't understand why Helena was so scared. Just as he was about to comfort her again, Ni Team walked over and coldly said to him, "You'd better not say anything, Xiao Li, take him to the police car in front." With a wave of her hand, Xiao Li came over and pushed Fei Hu towards the front police car. 0

Behind them, Helena's cries continued. When the cold handcuffs clicked onto Fei Hu's wrist, he finally realized that the situation was really serious. He loudly asked the officer sitting next to him, "I haven't committed any crime; why are you arresting me?" 0

"Lai Er is dead; you are suspected of murder," the officer replied coldly. 0

"What?" Fei Hu exclaimed in shock. It felt like a dream. How could he be suspected of murder? He had no enmity with Lai Er, nor any grievances. Besides, he had only blocked Lai Er's arm with his hand; how could he have died? Fei Hu's mind went blank; he had tried to save someone but ended up in the police station instead. 0

Once at the police station, Fei Hu was placed in solitary confinement. The iron door and bars looked just like those in movies. The room was very dimly lit, and as soon as Fei Hu sat in the corner, it felt like a dream; he actually fell asleep. 0

He didn't know how long he slept when suddenly the sound of the iron door opening startled him awake. Xiao Li walked in and coldly said, "Get up; we're going to the interrogation room," while gently pulling on Fei Hu's arm. 0

The interrogation room—had he really become a criminal? Fei Hu's heart sank. 0
