The three of them fell silent. In fact, Yingzi understood Helena quite well; as a woman facing such a situation, her first instinct was to protect her family. This is human nature. Ye Xiaofei paced anxiously and kept saying, "What are we going to do? Are we really going to let him stay inside?"

Ye Xiaofei gently approached and asked softly, "What's wrong? Do you think something is off about this matter?"
Yingzi nodded and sighed, "Normally, fights are handled by the local police station. But according to Miss He's description, it seems Fei Hu was taken away by the serious crimes unit. This issue is quite puzzling."
"Helena, was there anyone who called the police at that time?" Ye Xiaofei asked.

Fei Hu had hardly slept all night. As soon as dawn broke, the iron door was opened again by Officer Li, who said, "Let's go! We need to verify something."
After a night of contemplation, Fei Hu was tired and thought to himself that it didn't matter; they could ask whatever they wanted. In the same old place, the lights were not turned on today. Suddenly, the female officer slammed her notebook onto the table and shouted, "Do you think that if you don't speak, we won't be able to find out? Why did Helena say that you know Bai Jing and that you're her boyfriend?"
"Who is Bai Jing? I have no idea what you're talking about. What do you want me to say? Why don't you teach me?" Fei Hu retorted angrily.
The atmosphere in the room became tense. The female officer might not have slept all night either; she covered her mouth with her hand, yawned, and softly said, "I'm sorry; I got a bit anxious. Bai Jing is the woman you saved last night. Both she and Helena testified that you're her new boyfriend and that you've only known each other for a few days, so she doesn't even know your real name."
When Fei Hu heard this, he thought, oh my! This woman is quite something! She can weave such a lie; it seems she's not as pitiful as she appears but rather someone formidable. Fei Hu then realized he might have been drawn into a huge conspiracy.
"I really don't know her. If she claims she knows me, then please ask her to state when and where we went on a date. You can verify that; lies will collapse under scrutiny," Fei Hu sighed. He couldn't understand why Helena would tell such a lie.
The female officer nodded and said, "We will definitely check what you said; it's just a matter of time. Think again if there's anything else you need to add; this is very important for you."
Fei Hu lowered his head and closed his eyes tightly, replaying in detail the entire process from when he went out to meet Helena until he left the bar and took a walk outside. He felt there was nothing wrong with it. However, when he thought about how the police made them get into the police car, Helena's unusual behavior puzzled him. Based on his usual understanding of Helena, she shouldn't have acted like that. Had she been stimulated by something? Could it be that she was scared after hearing about Shier's death?
"Have you remembered something?" the female officer pressed further.
Fei Hu gently nodded and said, "Helena and I work at the same company; she's the HR manager. Did something stimulate her or...?"

In the chief's office, the over fifty Old Chief sat at his desk with a serious expression. Although he was already fifty-two this year, his tall and robust figure, along with his righteous demeanor, made him appear much younger. Across from him sat a slightly overweight Middle-Aged Police Officer in his forties, with small eyes and a fair complexion that seemed to shine with an oily sheen.
"Xu Ning, you have been a police officer for many years; don't keep bothering me over these trivial matters. I am really busy," Old Chief said somewhat displeased.
The Middle-Aged Police Officer, referred to as Xu Fan by Old Chief, wiped his forehead with a handkerchief and blinked his small eyes, saying, "Old Chief, after all these years, you should help me out. Just as the two were lamenting their troubles, a female officer pushed the door open and walked in. She first nodded at Old Chief and then nodded at Xu Ning sitting across from him, saying, "Director, you were looking for me!"
Old Chief raised his head and indicated, "It wasn't me; it was Xu Director who wanted to see you."

Upon hearing this, Ni Ling turned around and sat on the sofa next to the chief. She was the female officer who had just interrogated Fei Hu. With a smile, she said, "I'm sorry, Xu Suo. It was sudden last night, so I didn't disturb you. Next time something like this happens, I will call you in advance."
