When Fei Hu returned to the hotel, Yingzi had already taken a shower and was wearing a very alluring nightgown, sitting on the sofa watching TV. As soon as she saw Fei Hu, she smiled and said, "Hey! I didn't see that coming! You really attract the attention of young ladies. So, how's it going? No trouble, right?"
"Shut it," Fei Hu replied irritably as he plopped down on the sofa, looking quite displeased.
Yingzi scooted closer to Fei Hu, a refreshing fragrance wafting from her. Fei Hu took a deep breath, slowly calming his mood.
Yingzi gently pushed Fei Hu's shoulder with her delicate hand and softly asked, "What's wrong? You seem pretty down. Did something happen? You weren't beaten up by someone’s husband, were you?" As she said this, she couldn't help but burst into laughter again.
Once Yingzi finished laughing, Fei Hu finally spoke up, "We almost fell for it. Xu Yanfei actually has some background. Don't be fooled by her ordinary appearance; she's not what she seems."
Upon hearing this, Yingzi immediately stopped laughing and lightly nudged Fei Hu. "Give me the details. Don't leave me hanging; I'm not smart enough to understand. What exactly happened?"
Fei Hu cleared his throat and glanced at Yingzi's ample chest before smiling and recounting how Xu Yanfei had kept him around and what he had overheard from the driver about her.
After listening, Yingzi's expression changed, and she exclaimed, "Oh no! It's my fault for joking around like that with you. We almost got into real trouble. Thankfully you didn't do anything foolish; otherwise, if you had slept with her, things would have been complicated. But one thing is certain: she is definitely an employee of Breeding Farm. No doubt about it. Also, they really are renting out containers there; that's beyond question. Tomorrow morning, we'll wait for Xu Yanfei downstairs and follow her to Breeding Farm. After that, I won't know her anymore; it's between you two."
"Pfft! I'm a man of taste. Even if I wanted to chase women, I wouldn't go after someone like her," Fei Hu said while deliberately pouting.
Yingzi leaned in closer and playfully asked Fei Hu, "Then what kind of woman do you want to pursue?"
Inhaling Yingzi's fragrance again, Fei Hu mustered his courage and declared, "I want to pursue a woman like you."
Yingzi's face turned slightly red upon hearing this. She suddenly turned around, grabbed a cushion from the sofa, and threw it at Fei Hu's head while shouting angrily, "I told you not to say that! I told you not to!"
Fei Hu was unable to defend himself against her onslaught and hurriedly got up to run back to his room.
As dawn broke with a hint of light in the sky, Yingzi pulled Fei Hu out of bed. After they both washed up and put on sun hats while holding big sunglasses in their hands, they headed straight for the restaurant downstairs. The hotel offered a complimentary breakfast which saved them quite a bit of hassle.
With a casual wave of his hand, a rental car pulled up beside them. Fei Hu realized the benefits of having money—it's truly a one-stop service. After giving the driver the address, they soon arrived at the place where Fei Hu had gotten out last night. In daylight, the area looked even worse than at night; the dilapidated roads were littered with trash, and the low and crowded buildings made it hard to catch a breath.
Fei Hu whispered a few words to Yingzi, and after a brief discussion, Fei Hu said to the driver, "Master, we have booked your car for this morning. However, you just need to take us wherever we say without asking questions. The speed will be determined by us, and as for the price, we can negotiate."
The driver was a young man in his twenties. Upon hearing this, he looked very pleased. Booking a car meant he wouldn't have to run around picking up passengers anymore. The young driver immediately replied, "Great! As long as you don't do anything illegal, I can take you anywhere. It will be five hundred yuan upfront. If you need it in the afternoon, we can discuss it then, okay?"
Yingzi remained silent and pulled out five hundred yuan from her bag to hand to the driver. The young man was overjoyed to encounter such straightforward customers who didn't haggle. If every day could be like this, driving would be quite enjoyable.
Fei Hu pointed to a large tree ahead and said, "Park the car behind that tree and stop there; we need to wait for someone."
The driver nodded and drove over. The spot Fei Hu chose was good; they could see everyone coming out of the neighborhood from inside the car, but those leaving wouldn't notice them at all.
The sun came out, casting golden rays on the car, creating a slight warmth. More pedestrians began to appear on the road, most of whom were coming out of the neighborhood, likely office workers. Around seven-thirty, a familiar figure appeared—Xu Yanfei. Although she had changed clothes, her walking posture and the bicycle she was pushing were instantly recognizable to Fei Hu.
Perhaps due to the poor road conditions at the neighborhood entrance, Xu Yanfei pushed her bike for a while before riding off quickly. Fei Hu told the driver, "Don't get too close to that woman on the bicycle; no honking." The driver looked puzzled but decided to follow her instructions since he had already accepted their money.
On the busy morning roads, bicycles were often faster than cars. Since they couldn't honk either, by the time they left the city limits, the driver was sweating with anxiety. Fortunately, Xu Yanfei remained in their sight.
After navigating a winding road with an uphill and downhill stretch, Fei Hu suddenly spotted a small grove ahead with rows of houses in between. For some reason—perhaps it was morning or something else—this place seemed devoid of life.
Unable to contain his curiosity, the driver asked, "What are you doing at Breeding Farm? It seems like production is temporarily halted here; all employees are on leave. However, last night I dropped off five people from out of town here; it's quite strange that you are also coming here."
Fei Hu chuckled lightly and said, "We are also involved in breeding; we're here for a visit. Now drive your car back and leave us your contact number. Once we finish our business, we'll call you. If we don't call you in the morning, you're free to go without worrying about us."
Hearing this, the driver happily pulled out a business card and handed it to Fei Hu with both hands.
Climbing trees was Fei Hu's specialty. He quickly found a larger tree and climbed up, pulling Yingzi up with him. They sat on a branch together. Yingzi took out binoculars and looked towards Breeding Farm for a while before saying to Fei Hu, "What Xu Yanfei said is absolutely right; right in the middle of Breeding Farm are eight sixty-inch containers parked next to more than ten box trucks."
Fei Hu responded, "Check the license plates; you'll know where those trucks are from."
Yingzi shook her head and said, "You're silly! If those trucks really came from City A, they definitely wouldn't use City A's license plates; they'd use fake ones instead. Only when they encounter important inspections would they switch back to real plates. These people have always operated this way."
Fei Hu took the telescope from Yingzi with a skeptical expression, looked through it at the workplace, and suddenly exclaimed, "Little Four! It's him, take a look!" He hurriedly handed the telescope back to Yingzi.
Yingzi looked for a while and said, "I can't see clearly; he went inside."
"It's him! This guy has changed his appearance; I can recognize him. But I don't understand why he's here. Is he here to guard the transport, or does he have another mission?" Fei Hu said with a puzzled look.
Yingzi sighed and said, "It's too far to see clearly. Let's not jump to conclusions. If it really is Little Four coming here, it means Ye Wu has already discovered our movements. Although this guy isn't much, for now, he is one of Ye Wu's capable subordinates. If he's come personally, it might be aimed at us. We need to be careful."
"There's nothing to fear; we've faced him before," Fei Hu replied nonchalantly.
Yingzi looked through the telescope again and said, "Something feels off here. With such a large courtyard, hardly anyone has come out. Are they hiding during the day?"
Fei Hu thought for a moment and suddenly asked Yingzi, "Where did Xu Yanfei go? Logically speaking, she shouldn't be able to enter either; why is she nowhere to be seen?"
Yingzi held the telescope for a while longer and said, "That's right; she hasn't gone into the middle of the courtyard either. Isn't there a side door? If I remember correctly, she should have entered through that side door."
"How about we sneak in through the side door? We might find something significant; we can't see anything useful from here," Fei Hu suddenly suggested to Yingzi.
Yingzi shook her head. "No way; that would alert them. If we startle them, our lives will be in danger."
"Is it that serious?" Fei Hu felt a bit incredulous.
