Fei Hu saw that it was none other than Ye Wu's two capable subordinates, Abiao and Little Four. Goodness! The things here truly belonged to them. It seems that Yingzi's judgment was spot on; it was indeed a stroke of luck to find them without much effort.
"The two bosses could have just called me if there was something. Why come all the way here? Look at this place, it's dirty and cramped, with no place to sit," Xu Yanfei said, hurriedly pushing some clothes on the bed aside.
The chubby Abiao laughed heartily, "No need to rush, Miss Xu is always so polite. We are familiar enough by now. We're here just to ask you something, and we'll leave after that."
Little Four had been silent, his small eyes scanning Xu Yanfei up and down. Fortunately, Xu Yanfei was experienced enough not to mind.
"Go ahead and ask! I'll tell you everything I know," Xu Yanfei said, naturally pulling her skirt down a bit.
Abiao smiled and said, "Is the person delivering the food reliable today? Did you tell her what I asked you? This meal cost quite a bit." Abiao turned out to be a smiling tiger; he could be friendly one moment and then strike the next.
Xu Yanfei's expression changed slightly as she replied, "What do you mean by that, Boss? If you don't trust me, you can call our boss and have him send someone else. I really don't want to do this job. Running around in this heat for a little money isn't easy! Besides, I arranged for today's delivery from a reputable restaurant; it's not some roadside stall. What could possibly be unreliable? Was the food not to your liking, or were they not behaving properly?"
Xu Yanfei proved herself to be quite shrewd; with just a few words, she left Abiao speechless. He hadn't expected her to be so formidable; he initially intended to make things difficult for her but ended up being outsmarted.
Little Four waved his hand and blinked his small eyes twice before softly saying, "Alright, alright, no need to dwell on that. As long as Miss Xu does her job well, the payment will definitely be fair. I'm here to ask how many people came with the food today. Were you back at that time?" This guy was too cunning; as he spoke, he glanced around the room and went over to touch the lock on the door.
"There were two women! Didn't you say you wanted fewer people? That's why I specifically requested it," Xu Yanfei replied impatiently. Fei Hu, hiding behind the bag, thought it was over—had they discovered him? Clenching his fists in preparation for a fight, he braced himself.
Little Four's expression changed as he lowered his voice and asked, "You said there were only two women and no men?" The atmosphere in the room grew tense; Fei Hu felt cautious but hadn't realized he had drawn their attention.
Xu Yanfei angrily shouted, "The driver is a man! Do you really need to ask about such obvious things? It's so annoying!" With that, she turned her back and sat on the bed, ignoring the two men.
Abiao awkwardly smiled at Little Four and said, "I told you there's no problem; you just don't believe me. The door locked right after she left. I've checked; whoever went to the bathroom must have exited through the front door. Those rabbits just didn't see it."
Sitting on the bed, Xu Yanfei listened for a while. She stood up and said in a calm voice, "This door has always been locked. I just came back, and I opened it when you called me." Little Four glanced at Xu Yanfei, nodded, and said nothing more.
Abiao suddenly patted his thigh and smiled at Xu Yanfei, saying, "Oh! Miss Xu, there's something I need you to do personally. Where is the main power switch for your Breeding Farm? There's a broken fan in one of the rooms, and I want to have someone fix it. For safety's sake, we need to turn off the power first."
"That's easy. I'll help you find it," Xu Yanfei replied as she turned and walked away. Abiao and Little Four followed her out the door, and this time Xu Yanfei completely forgot to lock it.
Once the three of them were far away, Fei Hu hurriedly ran out from behind a bag, drenched in sweat. He couldn't understand how Xu Yanfei could hide here and slack off.
Just as Fei Hu was about to open the back door and leave, he inadvertently noticed a set of keys on Xu Yanfei's bed. He felt a stir in his heart and walked over to pick up the keys. Unfortunately, there was only one key that matched this room. If he took it, wouldn't that draw even more attention to himself?
Fei Hu anxiously paced around on the ground. Suddenly, he saw a bar of soap on the windowsill. Scenes from movies where people steal keys flashed before his eyes. Fei Hu quickly walked over, picked up the soap, pressed both keys firmly into it, leaving two deep impressions.
When Fei Hu returned to his original spot, Yingzi was anxiously pacing like an ant on a hot pan. As soon as she saw Fei Hu, she scolded him angrily, "What are you doing? Can’t you discuss things with me before doing anything? Do you know how worried I am about you? If something happens, Ye Xiaofei will kill me!"
Fei Hu smiled and wiped the sweat off Yingzi's forehead with his hand, saying softly, "I know you're worried about me; I'm aware of that. Just don't drag anyone else into this."
"Alright, alright. You really think others don't know about your little issues? I don’t want to discuss that with you. Tell me what’s going on!" Yingzi asked urgently.
Fei Hu pouted slightly and reluctantly said, "It's them; I saw those two bastards Little Four and Abiao."
"What? Did they notice you? You didn't get into a fight with them again, did you?" Yingzi exclaimed as she grabbed Fei Hu's hand and looked him over from head to toe. Seeing that he was only covered in dust and otherwise fine, she let out a sigh of relief.
With the heat of the weather combined with all the running around, Fei Hu now felt completely empty inside—hungry and thirsty. He quickly said to Yingzi, "Let's go back! I'll tell you everything in detail once we get to the hotel."
At this moment, Yingzi wasn't much better off than Fei Hu; she helplessly swallowed hard and nodded. Together they walked through the small grove toward Main Road.
Once they returned to the hotel, the first thing Fei Hu and Yingzi did was drink water. After quenching their thirst, they began competing for who would take a shower first. They replenished their moisture with a cool shower and changed into clean and comfortable clothes. If it weren't for their hunger, they really wouldn't want to move; lying in the room enjoying the air conditioning felt much better.
They ordered a lot of dishes, and Fei Hu also requested some chilled beer. The two of them, like a whirlwind, looked at the empty plates and couldn't help but burst into laughter. After laughing, they began to drink the beer.
At this time, most people had already finished their meals. The hall was empty, with only a few waiters standing around playing with their phones. While drinking beer, Fei Hu detailed to Yingzi the entire process of sneaking into the Breeding Farm that morning.
After listening, Yingzi chuckled lightly and said, "That was brilliant, absolutely brilliant! It was like something out of a movie. You really have a talent for being a police officer; what a shame."
Fei Hu smiled and took out a piece of soap with a key imprint from his pocket, handing it to Yingzi. "I don't know if this can be replicated, but if it works, we can sneak in through the side door tonight and see what's actually in the yard."
Yingzi examined the soap and confidently said, "This is just an ordinary key; anyone can make one. We should go find someone who can duplicate it; it shouldn't be a problem."
Once they exited the hotel, they headed towards an eastern residential area. It was around two o'clock, the hottest time of the day. In an alley lined with shops and stalls, Fei Hu noticed two salons with enticing names. Several beautifully dressed women were deliberately exposing their thighs, leaning against chairs and blowing kisses to passing men.
Fei Hu only glanced inside when one woman rushed out. Boldly grabbing his arm, she whispered with a smile, "Hey handsome, come inside and have some fun! A new batch of pretty girls just arrived; you can choose anyone you like."
Fei Hu hurriedly pulled away her hand and said, "Sorry, I have other things to do; you should find someone else!"
"Oh come on! What could be more important than this? Just have some fun first!" The woman persisted, grabbing onto Fei Hu's shirt. Although there weren't many people on the street at that moment, being pulled around by such a woman was quite embarrassing for him. He helplessly cast a pleading glance at Yingzi.
Yingzi chuckled softly and walked over to the woman. "Let him go! He's my boyfriend."
The woman seemed skeptical but eventually released her grip while muttering under her breath, "Vixen." Fei Hu almost burst out laughing upon hearing that.
