Fei Hu wanted to distract Yingzi from her pain, so he exaggeratedly recounted what had just happened. Sure enough, his words made Yingzi chase after him, playfully hitting him. 0

At that moment, in such a place, Fei Hu had no real hope for a vehicle to come by. However, given Yingzi's situation, he truly wished for any kind of vehicle to pass by, even a bicycle would do, as long as it could carry her. Just as this thought crossed Fei Hu's mind, strangely enough, a very bright set of headlights appeared not far ahead. Fei Hu couldn't help but feel a surge of joy; he had to stop that vehicle no matter what. 0

The car was moving quickly and soon arrived before them. Just as Fei Hu was about to wave it down, the car suddenly slammed to a halt in the middle of the road. From the sign on the roof, it was clear that it was a rental car. Fei Hu thought to himself how clever the driver was for knowing he wanted to flag down a ride. He turned around and smiled at Yingzi, saying, "Get in the car! What are you waiting for?" Yingzi shook her head and gestured for him to look back. 0

When Fei Hu turned around, his heart sank. Three burly men got out of the car; all three were bald and each held a long object wrapped in newspaper or something similar. The taxi driver must have sensed something was off because he suddenly reversed the car several dozen meters and then made a U-turn, disappearing from sight. 0

With the car gone, darkness enveloped them again. One of the three men spoke in a cold voice, "Sorry, friends. You took our money and now you need to pay the price. Put down what you have and we can let you both go; otherwise, don't blame us for being rude." 0

Upon hearing this, Fei Hu finally understood. Damn it! They were with Little Four! He had thought they had run into robbers on the way but didn’t expect Little Four to have set up an ambush. 0

Yingzi quietly tugged at Fei Hu's arm and said, "Don't believe them; we can't give them anything. We have to fight back." 0

Fei Hu patted Yingzi's hand and whispered, "When I make my move, you find a way to run. I can handle these three; this thing in my hand is not just for show." He shook the wooden stick in his hand—thankfully he hadn't discarded it after listening to Yingzi earlier. 0

Seeing that Fei Hu did not respond, one of the men said again, "Stop stalling. It doesn't matter either way; if you want to run, you can only go back. Unless you take us down first and step over our bodies to escape—let's see if you can do that." 0

Fei Hu took a deep breath and coldly replied, "Then I'll give it a try. But it's dark out; don't blame me if I hit hard." As he spoke, he swung the wooden stick with his last words, making a whooshing sound. 0

The attack came fiercely, but the three bald men were not pushovers either; they all jumped up at once. The swing missed all of them completely. Fei Hu's heart trembled—tonight he had indeed encountered tough opponents and could not afford to be careless. 0

As soon as the stick was retracted, Fei Hu flicked his wrist, transforming the end of the stick into a gun, which he thrust forward with incredible speed and force. The opponents panicked; they quickly revealed their weapons with a series of loud clinks. Despite the darkness, the glint of white light made it clear that they were wielding machetes. The one at the front suddenly darted out, swinging his machete fiercely at Fei Hu's weapon. 0

Everyone knew that a wooden stick would break upon contact with a machete—there was no doubt about it. Seeing this, Fei Hu immediately pulled back, but it was still a moment too late, and the tip of his stick was shaved off. 0

Oh my! Fei Hu couldn't help but gasp in shock. If this continued, once the stick was shortened, he would lose any advantage. Thinking quickly, he feigned an attack to distract them and moved swiftly. He struck first, causing confusion among the three opponents. Although they had machetes, they failed to spread out in time and ended up crowding together, rendering their weapons useless. 0

Seizing the opportunity, Fei Hu pressed his attack relentlessly. Suddenly, there was a cry as one of the last group members was shoved off the road by his companions. Seeing this, Fei Hu felt a surge of joy; he swung his stick erratically, making it difficult for them to predict his movements. Just then, he thought he heard footsteps behind him—could it be Little Four and the others chasing after him? If they flanked him from both sides, his life would be in serious danger. 0

No way! He had to take them down. Fei Hu suddenly lunged forward, sweeping his stick out with incredible speed. One of the opponents standing closer was struck by the stick and let out a terrible scream before collapsing to the ground. With both hands on the ground for support, Fei Hu rolled over and stood up. He suddenly felt a chill on his shoulder followed by a sharp pain—he had been hit! Cursing under his breath, he leaped forward and stomped down hard on the last opponent who had fallen off the road. 0

Not wanting to stop there, Fei Hu turned around and swept his leg to knock down another opponent who was sitting on the ground and howling in pain. As he turned to run forward, he spotted a flashlight beam not far behind him. 0

Running frantically, Fei Hu suddenly remembered Yingzi—she wouldn’t be left behind, would she? Just as he was panting heavily and unsure of what to do next, his phone vibrated again. He quickly pulled it out and saw a message saying "I have reached the small shop ahead." Looking up, he indeed saw many lights ahead; he realized he had run out of the small hillside. 0

Overjoyed, Fei Hu quickened his pace. When he reached the streetlight near the small shop, he saw a car parked there with Yingzi sitting inside waving at him. He hurried over, opened the door, and got in just as the car started moving. Through the window, he noticed several beams of flashlight light flashing in the darkness behind them. 0

Once back at the hotel, Yingzi immediately took out a first aid kit and began bandaging Fei Hu's shoulder wound. Fortunately, it was just a superficial injury; Fei Hu sighed at how unfortunate it was for his new clothes. 0

Yingzi's injury looked more severe; when Fei Hu tore open her sleeve, he could see her white bone exposed. He immediately stood up and said loudly, "We need to go to the hospital right away! If this isn't treated properly, it could get infected and cause serious problems." 0

"Don't! They definitely won't give up; they might go looking for us at all major hospitals," Yingzi replied with an extremely pale face—likely due to blood loss. "Let's move out of here immediately to a remote place and find a small inn to stay in. Then we can find a small clinic for some bandaging and get some anti-inflammatory medication; it shouldn't be too serious." 0

Fei Hu checked his phone; it was already past five in the morning. Daylight would break soon. He quickly packed their things and left the hotel with Yingzi. 0

Where to go? Fei Hu didn't know either. He only remembered that Xu Yanfei lived in a somewhat secluded area. As soon as he got into the car, he told the driver the name of the place. Half an hour later, Fei Hu arrived at a small inn called Affordable. The Boss was a plump middle-aged woman who didn't ask for any identification. She tossed a key to Fei Hu and coldly said, "Room 12 on the second floor, go up yourself. It's a standard room, one hundred per night." 0

Fei Hu took out money and paid one hundred upfront, quietly asking, "Do you have a suite with two rooms?" 0

"No! Are you rich or something? Why would you want a suite? Just pretending," Fat Woman replied disdainfully. After saying that, she turned to watch her television. 0

Fei Hu felt disheartened and picked up his luggage, helping Yingzi upstairs. 0

The small inn was really incomparable to a hotel. The room was small; although it was called a standard room, the two beds were almost touching each other. The good thing was it had a bathroom. After helping Yingzi sit down, Fei Hu quickly went downstairs and headed straight to the Small Clinic at the end of the alley, which he had already spotted while coming over. 0

The clinic was indeed very small, with only a few medicines on display. A woman in her thirties was reading a book. After explaining his purpose, she quickly prepared several medications and some necessary tools, following Fei Hu back to the inn. After all, she was in this line of work. 0

She disinfected and bandaged expertly. Once all the procedures were completed, she immediately set up an IV for Yingzi, leaving behind a phone number before hurriedly leaving, showing great professionalism. 0

After one bottle of fluid was finished and while waiting for the second bottle to be changed, Yingzi's complexion improved. She smiled and said, "Look at the good room you've found; I really shouldn't have to suffer like this!" 0

Fei Hu laughed and said, "I don't think it's suffering at all. Being able to sleep so close to a beautiful woman is exactly what I wanted." Saying this, he lay back on the adjacent bed with a smug expression. 0

Yingzi sighed deeply and said, "I didn't expect us both to get hurt this time. From now on, we must be careful. Let's not go back yet. Use your phone to take pictures of what you got and send them via MMS to Sister Xiofei. Be quick!" Upon hearing this, Fei Hu hurriedly sat up from the bed. 0
