The phone was on speaker, and a voice immediately came through the receiver: "Hello, this is the A City Public Security Bureau. How can I assist you?"
Upon hearing this, Ye Wei became anxious. He rushed over and hung up the phone, pleading in a near-begging tone, "Please, don't cause any more trouble. I will find a way to pay you back."
"Pay me back? What are you going to use to pay me? Do you think money will just fall from the sky while you sleep here every day?" Wang Qian's voice was raised, clearly furious.
Ye Wei stood up, grabbed a bottle of drink from the bedside table, opened it, and forcefully shoved it into Wang Qian's hands. He sighed and said, "I've thought it through. I have another property in the city. Based on current market conditions, I can sell it for around 1.7 to 1.8 million without any issues. If you want cash now, I'll sell it. If not, I'll transfer the property to your name. It has great potential for appreciation; you definitely won't lose out."
Hearing this, Wang Qian's expression slowly changed. She took a sip of the drink Ye Wei handed her and softly said, "I really don't want to pressure you like this, but I have no choice. You need to understand that out of the two million plus, only a few hundred thousand belongs to me; the rest is all borrowed from others. We had agreed to share the profits with them, and now it's become a problem just to return the principal."
Ye Wei began pacing around the room and suddenly asked, "What has Ye Xiaofei been up to these days? Has she been causing trouble again? You need to keep an eye on her; if we're not careful, she could ruin us both."
"It's strange; she's been very calm these past few days. Occasionally, she even goes out shopping and doesn't seem too concerned about company matters. However, she's been overly strict with finances. The bank loan deadline is approaching, and once they start demanding repayment, some issues related to Sheng Wei will come to light, which could lead to big trouble," Wang Qian said with a worried expression.
"Damn it! I never thought I'd end up like this; it's all that bastard Ye Wu's fault. He's unreliable. But we can't keep Ye Xiaofei around; she must leave Sheng Wei as soon as possible. You handle this discreetly—no one should suspect anything or get hurt—but she has to leave on her own," Ye Wei said with a sinister tone.
Wang Qian kept rolling the can in her hands as she coldly replied, "There are ways to make her leave, but we can't rush it right now. Before this bank loan is due, we just need her out of Sheng Wei within two months; that way she'll let her guard down and it will be easier for us to act."
Ye Wei nodded and sat down next to Wang Qian. When he looked up, he saw her impressive figure before him; his long-dormant desires began to stir again. Suddenly, he pulled Wang Qian into an embrace and reached for her chest. Unexpectedly, Wang Qian pushed him away with force, sending him sprawling onto the sofa.
"What time is it? And you still have this mindset? You really can't change your lecherous ways," Wang Qian stood up, adjusted her clothing in front of her chest, and turned to leave.
Watching Wang Qian walk away, Ye Wei scoffed and muttered, "Damn woman! I'll still enjoy myself without you."
He grabbed the phone from the bedside table and said, "Hello, front desk? Please arrange for a beautiful lady for room 268; the guest needs a massage service." After hanging up the phone, Ye Wei seemed to transform into a completely different person.
Returning from Donggang, Fei Hu felt that Ye Xiaofei was always finding fault with him, and he just couldn't understand where he had offended her. Women's thoughts are not something that can be easily understood.
After work that day, Fei Hu had just finished showering and was lying on the sofa watching TV when his phone rang. He looked at the screen and saw it was Ye Xiaofei calling. He quickly answered, only to hear Ye Xiaofei coldly shout, "Get out here!" Without waiting for Fei Hu to respond, she hung up the phone.
Fei Hu was stunned for a moment before hurriedly getting up, tidying himself up, and rushing out of the community.
Not far from the entrance of the community, a Z4 was parked there, looking very eye-catching. Fei Hu quickly walked over and was about to ask Ye Xiaofei what was going on when the domineering woman simply waved her hand, signaling him to get in the car.
Fei Hu didn't dare to say a word against Ye Xiaofei's command. He stepped forward, opened the car door, and as soon as he sat down, the car shot out like an arrow. This startled Fei Hu, who quickly grabbed onto the handle; this woman might be going crazy again.
Once seated properly, Fei Hu stole a glance at Ye Xiaofei. He saw her gripping the steering wheel tightly, her eyes fixed straight ahead as she pressed down hard on the accelerator. The situation didn't look good. Fei Hu quietly asked, "What's wrong? Are you in a bad mood?"
"What bad mood? I'm in a good mood," Ye Xiaofei replied while pouting and making a funny face.
Only then did Fei Hu feel comfortable enough to say, "If you're in a good mood, then drive a bit slower. Why are you going so fast? Look at how scared everyone else is."
Ye Xiaofei let out a cold laugh and said, "That's because you're timid; it has nothing to do with me." Although she said this, she did ease off on the accelerator, and the car's speed noticeably decreased.
"I'm not saying you scared me; I'm saying you scared other drivers on the road," Fei Hu intentionally made conversation to cheer Ye Xiaofei up.
Unexpectedly, as soon as he finished speaking, Ye Xiaofei frowned and snapped back, "Mind your own business; just sit tight." Before she could finish her sentence, the car sped up again. They were on an overpass with heavy traffic now; Fei Hu's heart raced as he watched cars being left behind. Ye Xiaofei seemed to be enjoying herself as she weaved through traffic, causing chaos among the orderly flow of vehicles.
Finally getting off the overpass, Ye Xiaofei revealed a long-lost smile on her face. However, less than a minute after she smiled, a police car with sirens blaring chased after them, followed by several motorcycles carrying traffic police. Seeing this, Fei Hu thought to himself that it was over.
Ye Xiaofei's car was forced to pull over to the side of the road. Several police officers got out of their vehicles; one young female officer saluted Ye Xiaofei and loudly demanded, "Registration, driver's license, ID!"
Ye Xiaofei glanced at the female officer and slowly handed over the documents. After taking a look at them, the officer continued speaking: "You were speeding all along Longdong Highway; for 21 kilometers your speed exceeded 130 km/h and you changed lanes forcefully seven times, nearly causing collisions with several cars behind you. According to motor vehicle traffic management regulations, your driver's license will be penalized with 12 points deducted at once. After three months, you must retake the written test for your license; only upon passing will your license be reinstated."
Ye Xiaofei was anxious upon hearing this and exclaimed, "What should I do about my car?"
"I'll tell you this: from now on, you can't drive. Let your friend take the wheel. If he doesn't have a license either, then I'm sorry, but I can help you tow the car to the traffic police station. However, I must remind you that the parking fee at the traffic police station is two hundred per day. If you think that's reasonable, you can leave it there for a couple of days; we won't rush you," the female officer said with a serious expression.
Ye Xiaofei continued to argue, but Fei Hu shouted, "Stop arguing and sit aside; I'll drive." This was the first time Fei Hu had raised his voice at Ye Xiaofei, and she was a bit startled, obediently climbing into the passenger seat.
The female officer smirked slightly and secretly gave Fei Hu a thumbs up.
Fei Hu started the car, glanced at Ye Xiaofei, and coldly asked, "Where to? Speak up." To be honest, he wasn't pretending; Ye Xiaofei's stubbornness had genuinely annoyed him.
"CS Outdoor Base. Go through the tunnel onto Xijiao South Road, and then take a big turn," Ye Xiaofei replied in a much softer voice as she saw Fei Hu getting angry; he looked quite intimidating.
With Fei Hu driving, the car moved smoothly, neither too fast nor too slow, making it feel more comfortable for both of them. They fell into silence for a while.
As they entered the tunnel, Ye Xiaofei suddenly burst into laughter. She laughed and shouted, "I have a driver now! I have a driver!"
Fei Hu controlled the speed of the car and stole a glance at Ye Xiaofei. He softly said, "Are you crazy? Why were you so reckless earlier? Now look what you've done; you've lost your license."
"Hey, I'm happy! Not having a license is great! From now on, I won't have to drive anymore. You can be my personal driver. As soon as I get to the office tomorrow, I'll take care of this," Ye Xiaofei said with joy as she laughed again.
Fei Hu thought to himself that this didn't seem right. Did she really need to lose her license just to make him her driver? Was there something else going on?
