"Fei Hu, open the door, I have urgent business with you," came Sister Wu's voice.
Ye Xiaofei hurriedly sat up, tidied her clothes, and walked toward the door while saying, "Sister Wu, the door is open." However, she still pulled the door open, revealing Sister Wu standing there with a look of panic.
Seeing that something was wrong, Fei Hu quickly stepped forward and asked anxiously, "What happened? Hurry and tell me."
"Sister Wu said urgently, "A-Dong just called and said that at the West Suburb Wholesale Market tonight, unidentified individuals are causing trouble. There has already been a bloody clash, but it seems they are not planning to stop and are continuously bringing in more people. When the boss heard this, he insisted on going to see for himself. I couldn't persuade him; right now, Yingzi is trying to talk him down. Can you...?"
Fei Hu immediately understood her meaning and interrupted her, saying, "Don't worry. My wound is fine now. Yingzi and I can handle this quickly so he won't have to go." As he spoke, he walked toward Ye Cheng's bedroom.
"This is simply bullying! Don't try to persuade me; I'm going to see who these people are and who sent them. If it's that beast Ye Wu, I will not let him off the hook. Even if it costs me my life tonight, I will take him down!" Ye Cheng fumed as he paced around the room.
As soon as Fei Hu entered, Yingzi immediately gave him a look that was very clear—she wanted him to persuade Ye Cheng. Fei Hu chuckled and said, "Grandpa, what are you making such a fuss about? This trivial matter doesn't require your personal involvement. Leave it to me and Yingzi; you just wait at home for good news. Just do your job as Commander and don't interfere with our work. If you don't listen, how can I continue living here?"
After hearing Fei Hu's words, Ye Cheng stopped pacing and sat down. He shot Fei Hu a cold smile and said, "You little brat, are you threatening me? If you want to leave, then leave tomorrow. I prefer peace and quiet."
"Grandpa, why are you getting angry? Why would you make someone move out? He’s all alone; saying he’ll leave is just words. I think you should stop trying to show off; you're not Old Huang Zhong. We can just wait at home for good news while Fei Hu and Yingzi go out. If they can't settle it, then your presence won't help either," Ye Xiaofei chimed in as she entered the room, sitting beside Ye Cheng and pulling on his arm playfully.
Seeing this, Yingzi quickly signaled to Fei Hu and got up to leave. Fei Hu glanced at Ye Xiaofei and noticed her cheeks were still flushed; he inwardly cursed that this situation was really poorly timed—they were almost about to have a good moment.
When Fei Hu arrived at the villa's gate, Yingzi had already driven the car out of the garage. As soon as Fei Hu got in, Yingzi asked while driving, "What do you think about this situation? Do you think we can handle it like this? I just heard Sister Wu say that they have a lot of people on their side and are still bringing in reinforcements."
"Yeah, I've been thinking about that too. With just the two of us, no matter how capable we are, it's not enough. In situations like this, we need to maintain an imposing presence to pressure them; that's our best chance of success. A direct confrontation isn't the best strategy. How about I invite some friends over? They might be able to help us," Fei Hu replied as he dialed Bald Zhang's number to explain the situation and provide him with the detailed address.
After hanging up the phone, Fei Hu pondered for a moment and called A-Lian again. As soon as A-Lian answered, she immediately agreed and set off with her team to meet at Lizheng Bridge.
Seeing Fei Hu mobilize two groups of people in an instant, Yingzi happily pulled over her car to the side of the road and said, "I also have a secret weapon at hand; it looks like I’ll need to use it tonight." After saying that, she made a phone call, arranging to meet someone at Lizheng Bridge as well.
Lizheng Bridge is an old bridge that has become an open space due to urban planning changes in the traffic lanes. During the day, all the illegal taxi drivers park their cars here, and by night, it turns into a deserted battleground. Just under five hundred meters away is the largest Wholesale Market in the western suburbs of City A.
When Yingzi and Fei Hu arrived under the bridge, there were hardly any people around—only a group of homeless children playing. As soon as they saw cars pulling up, they quickly disappeared. After waiting for about ten minutes, three large vans drove up and parked behind Yingzi's car. Seeing this, Fei Hu hurriedly jumped out and heard some noises as several people got out of the three vans.
Leading the group was Feng Jie, who laughed and said, "Boss, this is where you went wrong. You didn’t even notify me about anything. Are you afraid I’ll hold you back? If you think I'm a woman and can't help, A-Lian is also a woman, but she's prettier than me." Before Feng Jie could finish her sentence, A-Lian playfully rushed over and gave her a playful shove from behind. The two women immediately started teasing each other, seemingly unconcerned about what was to come that night.
Fei Hu patted Bald Zhang on the shoulder and smiled, "Thanks for your hard work. How many people do we have in total?"
Bald Zhang grinned and replied, "What are you talking about? No need for thanks; this is what we do! We have three vans with about two hundred people altogether. If that's not enough, I can call more."
Suddenly, Yingzi squeezed in from behind Fei Hu and said repeatedly, "That's enough! Thank you all so much!" Just then, another van pulled up under the bridge. As soon as it stopped, a young man jumped out from the front of the vehicle and approached Yingzi with a slight smile. "We brought over eighty people. Some couldn't gather in time because it was sudden; I hope that's enough."
"That's plenty! Thank you so much! Everyone come over; let's discuss our specific action plan," Yingzi said excitedly while waving her hand.
Bald Zhang then gently pulled at Fei Hu's sleeve and said, "Boss, this is quite a scene! I counted; there are about three hundred people here. Are there still more? If things escalate into a fight, it would be terrifying."
Fei Hu chuckled and replied, "Having more people usually means less fighting; it's just for show. If it really comes down to it and things get out of control with this many people, it would be disastrous." As he spoke, he pulled Bald Zhang closer to join everyone.
Yingzi glanced at Fei Hu and said, "You should assign tasks to everyone so we can act uniformly when the time comes. We must not act chaotically; if we do fight, everyone must listen to one person’s command for retreat as well—otherwise we might attract police attention."
Upon hearing this, everyone turned their gaze toward Fei Hu. The responsibility weighed heavily on him; he didn't dare joke around. After thinking for a moment, he said, "I’ve heard there are four entrances to this wholesale market. Since we have four groups tonight, let’s split up and enter through each entrance. When entering, spread out like casual passersby but don’t stray too far apart. At any signal, gather immediately at one location. Our goal tonight is to encircle them so they retreat without a fight."
As soon as everyone heard, they immediately dispersed, each leading their own group towards the wholesale market. Fei Hu said to Yingzi, "Let's drive in; do I still need to keep my identity a secret?"
Yingzi smiled and replied, "I don't think that's necessary anymore. We're together, and we're helping the old man. If they investigate even a little, everything will be clear. However, Sister Xiofei just sent me a message saying Grandpa wants you to wear a mask when you act, so you should put it on for now to maintain some mystery!"
Yingzi drove quickly into the wholesale market with Fei Hu. At this time, most shops had closed their doors, but a few were still busy, possibly clearing out stock or shipping goods. The lights were on and the doors were open, creating a bustling scene. However, upon closer inspection, the people wandering through the aisles did not appear as relaxed.
Yingzi parked the car quickly in front of Shop 78. Just as she stopped, the shop door opened, and more than ten young men walked out. They lined up in formation with their hands behind their backs, clearly holding onto their belongings. Fei Hu jumped out of the car and headed straight inside. When these men saw someone wearing a mask boldly approaching, one of them immediately stepped forward to block Fei Hu.
Yingzi rushed over and said sternly, "Call Brother Dong out; we need to speak with him."
The man, in his thirties, raised an eyebrow and slowly replied, "Who are you? Brother Dong is busy tonight and won't see anyone; please leave."
Fei Hu felt anger rising and swung his right hand; the man stumbled back two steps before regaining his balance. The group of over ten people behind him quickly surrounded them, brandishing their belongings—each holding a seamless steel pipe. Just then, someone shouted from inside the room, "Everyone step back; they are our people." Following the voice, Brother Dong emerged from within. Fei Hu quickly noticed that Brother Dong's hand was swollen and covered with a bandage.
"Brother Dong, what happened? You're injured," Fei Hu exclaimed as he rushed forward to examine Brother Dong's hand.
Perhaps due to Fei Hu wearing a mask, Brother Dong took a moment to process before chuckling awkwardly. "Oh dear, look at this mess; it's all my fault for being incompetent and causing you trouble. Come in quickly!" Brother Dong said as he ushered Yingzi and Fei Hu into the room.
From the outside, this room appeared to be a shop, but after navigating around several stacks of goods, it turned out to be an office-like space filled with chairs. People were seated on the chairs; Fei Hu glanced around and saw at least forty to fifty people in total. It seemed they had just experienced a fight since there were several injured individuals present.
Brother Dong called out to those inside, "Brothers, greet the big brother!" Instantly, everyone stood up in unison; it was quite an intimidating sight. Fei Hu was taken aback—who was this big brother?
