Ye Xiaofei had a face full of anger as she kept her head down, ignoring everything around her and walking straight ahead. Behind her were two classmates, one was Li Qin and the other was Chen Sisi. Fei Hu suddenly remembered that Li Qin's villa was nearby. No wonder Ye Xiaofei was here; she was looking for Li Qin to go to New Joy World together.
Fei Hu steeled himself and shouted loudly, "Ye Xiaofei, this is all a misunderstanding. Can you let me explain?"
Fei Hu rushed out, startling the women. Ye Xiaofei paused for a moment before cursing loudly, "Get away from me! Seeing you is more disgusting than seeing a fly. You don't deserve to talk to me; you're just a dog. Whoever gives you treats is your master." Although Ye Xiaofei's voice wasn't very loud, it still attracted the attention of passersby.
Bald Zhang shouted, "Mind your own business; what’s there to look at?" His aggressive demeanor scared the onlookers away.
When Fei Hu heard Ye Xiaofei insult him by calling him a dog and humiliating him in front of her classmates, he felt his dignity as a man was being trampled. Did he really need Ye Xiaofei to live? He felt his heart silently bleeding.
Li Qin and Chen Sisi were both shocked by Ye Xiaofei's behavior. Was this still the Ye Xiaofei they knew? It seemed that Fei Hu had truly hurt her deeply. The two women stood there dumbfounded, unsure of whom to comfort.
Fei Hu clenched his fists tightly, but there was no outlet for his anger. He couldn't just rush over and hit Ye Xiaofei! His feet felt like they were nailed to the ground, unable to move. Bald Zhang had never seen Fei Hu so furious; he lowered his head in confusion and didn’t dare say a word.
Seeing how she had humiliated Fei Hu without any rebuttal from him made Ye Xiaofei feel bored. She ran over to her Z4 and sped away without looking back. Li Qin and Chen Sisi were anxious, stamping their feet in frustration. Ye Xiaofei drove like the wind; if anything happened, they would be implicated as classmates. With no other choice, the two women took out their phones and started dialing repeatedly.
Fei Hu walked down the street like he had lost his soul, not knowing where he was headed. Bald Zhang caught up with him and said softly, "Boss, don’t be sad. What’s so great about Ye Xiaofei? There are plenty of women who are prettier and more capable than her. You shouldn’t be upset over her; it’s not worth it. You should pick yourself up and find someone even better to make her jealous." As he spoke, Bald Zhang kicked the ground in frustration.
Fei Hu smiled faintly and replied, "What’s there to be sad about? I just feel a bit blocked up inside and want to walk alone for a while. Don’t follow me; just go back! I’ll feel better after walking a bit and can catch a ride home."
"No way! I’m staying with you; I can’t leave you like this," Bald Zhang shook his head firmly, sticking close to Fei Hu.
Fei Hu stopped walking and smiled, saying, "You stubborn bald donkey, don’t ruin my good mood! Otherwise, I’ll take out all my frustrations on you tonight. Besides, with your bulb-like head following me around, any beautiful girl will run away scared. So hurry up and leave; otherwise, I might just lose it!" Fei Hu's expression changed suddenly, looking somewhat intimidating.
"Alright, alright! I’ll go! But you need to come back early and keep your phone on. We need to stay in touch. You promise me you’ll leave right away; otherwise, even if you beat me to death, I won’t go!" Bald Zhang rolled his eyes playfully as he made his point clear.
Fei Hu chuckled twice and said, "Got it, I'll listen to you. What's with you acting like an old lady? Go on! What kind of person do you think I am to be upset over this?" Bald Zhang then walked away, glancing back three times.
Confusion and sadness suddenly overwhelmed him. Watching the shadow elongated by the streetlight, Fei Hu felt a turmoil in his heart. Ye Xiaofei's words had truly pierced his heart. He vowed that from now on, he would no longer hold any genuine feelings for any woman. He wanted to live freely, live joyfully, and no longer be sentimental.
The night was already deep, and the number of passersby gradually dwindled. However, Fei Hu had no intention of going back; he kept walking forward. Just then, a red Porsche quietly came to a stop. A beautiful woman in the car called out to Fei Hu, "Hey! Heartbroken one, where are you going? Let me give you a ride, hahahaha!" She laughed as she spoke.
Fei Hu secretly cursed, "Divine Essence disease, watch out or I'll beat you up." But he turned around anyway and was instantly invigorated; the driver was none other than Li Qin, one of Ye Xiaofei's classmates.
"Why are you chasing me? Don't tell me you want to hit on me!" Fei Hu pretended to act carefree.
Li Qin laughed and said, "With your attitude, do you even have the right to say that? A man like you, getting all worked up over such trivial matters, what are you trying to do? Don't tell me you're thinking about suicide!" It seemed Li Qin was deliberately provoking Fei Hu by choosing her words carefully.
Fei Hu slowly walked over and leaned against the front of the car. Trying to appear nonchalant, he sized up Li Qin and sighed, "Even you say that about me; it seems I've really been living too pathetically. How about this? I'll lie here, and you can drive your sports car fast over me. At least if I die, I can have some dignity—dying under a high-end sports car." He smiled at Li Qin as he spoke.
"Look at your state; with such little ambition, I wasted my time with you. If I had known you'd be like this, I would have gone home to sleep instead. Get in! I'll take you for a spin," Li Qin said as she opened the car door.
Fei Hu hesitated for a moment but then climbed in. For some reason, these rich girls drove recklessly; before Fei Hu could settle in his seat, Li Qin slammed on the gas pedal. The Porsche roared and surged onto the overtaking lane. At that moment, there weren't many cars on the road, giving Li Qin more room to speed up. Amidst the roar of the engine, the Porsche finally left all other vehicles behind and raced wildly on the overpass.
Watching this reckless woman drive, Fei Hu hurriedly grabbed onto the handrail and shouted loudly, "Slow down! If you keep driving like this, it'll cost you dearly. Speeding all the way will rack up fines in the thousands; if you're not careful, your driver's license might get suspended!" Fei Hu exaggerated the seriousness of the situation because he was genuinely scared; at such high speeds, any mishap could lead to disaster.
Li Qin gradually reduced her speed and turned back with a smile to ask Fei Hu, "So does that mean you don't want to die?"
"Who said I want to die? Seriously! I'm not done living yet; I still want to chase after many women," Fei Hu replied as he burst into laughter. His laughter echoed eerily in the night sky.
The car drove down from the overpass and stopped in front of a bar run by foreigners. Fei Hu couldn't understand the English name above but didn't care either; someone was leading him around. Wherever they went was fine with him—why think so much? He genuinely hoped for a drink right now; it seemed Li Qin was quite perceptive about men's thoughts.
At this time, most people were sound asleep, but in this place, couples were drinking enthusiastically. Li Qin found a corner seat against the wall. A foreigner approached them; Li Qin exchanged a few words in English with him. The foreigner nodded and left. Only then did Fei Hu realize that most of the people around them were foreigners; it seemed this bar was specifically for them.
The wine was served, a bottle of foreign liquor. After the waiters poured the drinks, Li Qin raised her glass and said, "It's a pleasure to drink with you. I'm very happy. It's been a while since we last met, and I didn't expect to see you tonight in this way."
Fei Hu smiled awkwardly and said, "I'm really sorry to make you laugh. Life is full of coincidences. I've been here twice; the first time at your place, and the second time at New Joy World. I didn't expect you all to be there as well. I can't quite figure out what's going on."
"Let's have a drink first. If we can't figure it out, there's no need to dwell on it; it's quite annoying. But I do want to ask how you know Great Star Zhang Jia. Is it really as they say? I feel like you're not that kind of person. Even if you're flirtatious, at least you should be independent and not rely on others," Li Qin said, her beautiful eyes fixed on Fei Hu as if she suspected he might be lying.
Fei Hu took a sip of the wine. The taste was strange at first, but after savoring it slowly, it turned out to be quite good. He sighed and recounted his first experience going to a bar with Yingzi and Ye Xiaofei, how things escalated into a fight, and how he later met Bald Zhang and Zhang Jia.
Li Qin shook her head in amazement and gave Fei Hu a thumbs-up, saying, "Oh, so you knew each other for quite some time! But Zhang Jia fell from grace last year; there were many rumors circulating about her. A lot of her businesses were sold off just a few months ago! She completely changed her style and took a bold approach, becoming a very famous Great Star in Hong Kong overnight. Many people are chasing her almost to madness. We came tonight because of her reputation, and I didn't expect to see her in person."
Fei Hu was surprised by how much Li Qin knew about Zhang Jia; he felt somewhat out of the loop.
"What do you think of Zhang Jia?" Li Qin suddenly asked.
Fei Hu shook his head and replied, "I don't know anything about her; you know more than I do. Besides, one shouldn't judge a person by their appearance."
"That can't be true! You're being so reserved with me," Li Qin said with a look of suspicion.
To alleviate Li Qin's doubts, Fei Hu recounted everything that had happened tonight from start to finish.
Once Li Qin finished listening, she exclaimed in surprise, "How could it be like this?"
