Alice was very happy to see Fei Hu agree to visit her beauty salon, humming a little tune all the way. As the car passed over the Overpass at Lychee Intersection, a strange scene unfolded. A speeding S350 above suddenly swerved left and right, making Alice unsure of which way to drive.
"Be careful, is that guy drunk?" Fei Hu, sitting in the passenger seat, reminded Alice.
Suddenly, the car in front came to a stop. Seeing an opportunity, Alice pressed the accelerator, and the Porsche roared forward. She intended to overtake the vehicle in front to avoid discomfort, but just as she moved, the S350 also took off aggressively into the overtaking lane and then slammed on the brakes. Alice let out a light exclamation as her car stopped just in time, but there was still a slight collision sound as the Porsche gently bumped into the back of the S350.
Frustrated, Alice slammed her fist on the steering wheel, causing the Porsche to emit an angry honk. At that moment, the door of the S350 swung open, and four men stepped out. The one in front was of medium height, in his forties, with a buzz cut and a ruddy complexion. He wore a short-sleeved shirt with only one button fastened, revealing a tuft of dark chest hair and a yellow chain that signified his wealthy status. The three men behind him were all dressed in black shirts with buzz cuts as well, but they appeared significantly younger, around twenty-five or twenty-six years old.
Fei Hu slightly turned his head and quietly asked Alice, "Do you know these guys?"
Alice shook her head and softly replied, "I don't know them, but don't get involved. They don't seem like good people; it looks like they're looking for trouble. I'll handle them." With that, she turned off the engine and pulled up the handbrake.
At that moment, a younger man with a buzz cut approached and knocked on Alice's car window, gesturing for her to get out. After hesitating for a moment, Alice opened the door and stepped out. Without thinking twice, Fei Hu hurriedly got out from the other side as well.
Once outside, instead of checking on the damage from the collision, Alice stared at the four men for a moment before suddenly saying sternly, "Wang Silai, you're still alive? Still causing trouble everywhere!" Upon hearing this, Fei Hu realized that Alice had crashed into someone she knew.
The man with exposed chest hair first looked Alice up and down with lewd eyes before smirking and saying, "Oh! Sister Juping! I heard you go by Alice now; that's a nice name—very classy and alluring like you. What are you in such a hurry for? Just bringing along a pretty boy? No need to crash into my car like this."
Fei Hu could tell from this man's tone that he was not someone good.
"Cut the nonsense. What do you want? Just say it directly! No need for all this drama," Alice's expression changed to one of hostility.
Wang Silai stepped forward with a forced smile and said, "Miss Alice, why are you still so domineering as you were back then? It was your car that hit mine; what do you mean by asking me what I want?"
"Fine! Let's say it's my fault; I hit your car. Do you want money or should I fix it for you? You choose! Just don't think about causing trouble; this is an Overpass intersection with cameras everywhere," Alice seemed unwilling to get entangled with him and took full responsibility for the incident. Fei Hu felt somewhat dissatisfied; clearly these people were looking for trouble.
Just as Wang Silai was about to speak, one of his younger companions leaned forward and chuckled, "Hey Sister Liang, our Boss isn't short on cash; he just wants to have some fun with you and rekindle old flames. You should tell this kid to scram; this accident isn't a big deal." As he spoke, he pointed at Fei Hu.
Alice's expression changed when she heard this, and she shouted loudly, "Wang Silai, you are such a jerk! After all these years, you haven't made any progress. How can you still have the nerve to bring someone like this out?"
At that moment, an emergency tow truck drove over and stopped by the roadside. A young man rolled down the window and called out, "Do you need help? I can tow your car away."
"No, we don't need it. Our car isn't a major incident; you can leave!" Wang Silai shouted impatiently.
The tow truck driver replied loudly, "Then you should move down to negotiate quickly; don't block the traffic. You've been parked here for a while."
"Go away! What traffic is being affected? It's the middle of the night with hardly any cars around!" Wang Silai acted like a thug.
Seeing that these people were difficult to deal with, the tow truck driver said nothing more and drove away.
"Alright, let's not embarrass ourselves here anymore. We'll talk once we drive down," Alice signaled to Fei Hu and quickly climbed into the vehicle. Fei Hu was smart, so he didn't hesitate in his movements.
Just as Alice started the car, Wang Silai rushed up and grabbed the side mirror of Alice's vehicle, grinning menacingly as he said, "You better not think about running away tonight; we need to settle our matters." Suddenly, Alice shifted into reverse and pressed the accelerator, causing the car to lurch backward. This startled Fei Hu, who quickly looked back; however, there weren't many cars on the overpass at that moment.
Wang Silai was dragged along by Alice's car for quite a distance. Realizing he couldn't compete with the vehicle, he reluctantly let go and shouted loudly to the few people behind him, seemingly urging them to get their car back.
Once off the overpass, Alice made a sharp turn and drove under the bridge at high speed. Fei Hu noticed Alice's pale face and softly said, "Don't be afraid; driving this fast is dangerous. You don't need to worry about them with me here."
Alice smiled slightly and replied, "Thank you! But this person has been a notorious troublemaker in City A for years; he's very hard to deal with. It's better for us to avoid trouble if we can." Although Alice said this, her speed noticeably decreased.
Fei Hu inadvertently glanced back and saw that a S350 was crazily chasing after them. Although there weren't many people in that car, such reckless driving could easily lead to an accident—either a wreck or serious injuries. Thinking of this, Fei Hu placed his hand over Alice's and gently pulled the steering wheel outward, guiding the car onto the shoulder.
"Stop running; pull over to the side," Fei Hu said firmly.
Alice did not understand his intentions, but she still stopped the car. At this point, it was almost eleven o'clock, and under the overpass, not only were there few passing cars, but there were also no pedestrians in sight.
The S350 came to a screeching halt in front of the Porsche. Wang Silai opened the car door and jumped out. His three lackeys surrounded Alice's car like rabid dogs, fearing she might escape again.
Fei Hu did not wait for Alice to get out; he pushed open the car door and jumped down, walking up to Wang Silai and coldly asking, "What do you want? Do you have to stir up trouble? You're going too far."
Wang Silai glared with his small green bean-like eyes and shouted, "Get lost! This is none of your business. Don't think you can act tough just because this rich lady treats you well. Let me tell you, when I was with her a few years ago, you were still a kid. Know your place and leave now, or you won't like what happens tonight." As he spoke, he stepped on the hood of Alice's car, showing his true colors as a thug.
At that moment, Alice rushed forward, pulling Fei Hu back and sternly saying, "You scoundrel, don't talk nonsense here. Be careful I send you inside. Everything you've done tonight has been captured on camera. Since we know each other, I'll let this slide as a joke and won't hold it against you."
"Hahaha! Miss Alice, do you think I'm still that timid? Let me be honest with you; I’m not afraid if you call the police. I'll go in today and come out tomorrow. You know what that means better than anyone else. Be smart and let your pretty boy leave so we can talk. Maybe if I'm in a good mood, nothing will happen," Wang Silai said while leering at Alice's figure.
Alice seemed to realize Wang Silai's inappropriate behavior. She chuckled lightly and said, "You wish to talk to me? Who do you think you are? Don’t think that just because I’m single now that you have a chance. Let me tell you plainly: it’s impossible—there’s no chance even in a hundred years."
"You ungrateful woman! If I give you face and you refuse it, don’t blame me for being rude," Wang Silai cursed as he leaned forward and reached for Alice's shoulder, clearly intending to force himself on her.
Fei Hu had long been intolerant of this guy's behavior; it was bullying. He shifted his body slightly, raised his right arm, and collided with Wang Silai's arm just as he reached for Alice. Wang Silai grimaced and quickly withdrew his arm while glaring at Fei Hu, saying fiercely, "If you dare to fight me, it means you're looking for death."
Wang Silai took a slight stance and then feigned with his left hand before launching a fierce strike with his right hand aimed directly at Fei Hu's chest. Fei Hu quickly pulled Alice behind him and then retaliated with a powerful punch.
When their fists collided, Wang Silai couldn't help but scream in shock as he stumbled back two steps with an expression of disbelief on his face.
