"What’s going on? Just tell me! I'm still in Hong Kong," Fei Hu asked anxiously.
Bald Zhang hesitated for a moment on the phone and said, "Some unidentified thugs showed up at New Joy World last night. Although they didn't cause any trouble, I could sense that they were up to no good. I'm afraid they might come back tonight. All signs indicate that they were just scouting the place, and it's very likely they'll make a big move tonight. I feel uneasy with you not here."
Fei Hu's prediction was spot on; it seemed that what was meant to happen would indeed happen. He immediately replied, "Don't panic. Prepare in advance and select some capable and clever people to lay an ambush near New Joy World. It would be best to bring Feng Jie, A-Lian, and Xiao Qi along. Once they arrive, it will be much easier to handle this situation. You should also filter your people; quality over quantity."
"Okay, I'll take care of it right away. But isn't A-Lian with you?" Bald Zhang asked, somewhat confused.
Fei Hu chuckled lightly and said, "She went back first; she should arrive this afternoon. I'm booking a flight now, and if I can get a ticket, I'll rush over tonight." Hearing this, Bald Zhang was thrilled. The two chatted casually for a bit before hanging up.
Fei Hu grabbed his passport and headed straight to the hotel front desk. After explaining his purpose, the staff warmly assisted him. Fortunately, there was a flight to City A around four in the afternoon. This was perfect timing; Fei Hu immediately asked the staff to help him book a ticket. It was unfortunate about the hotel room—he had already paid but couldn't stay.
Back at the hotel, Fei Hu called Zhang Jia to inform her of his plans. It was clear she was still in bed as she lazily replied, "Don't rush! We'll fly over together. You can enjoy a couple of days in Hong Kong first. Once I finish my business here, we'll leave right away." Zhang Jia yawned during her speech, indicating she hadn't fully woken up yet; it seemed she had also drunk too much yesterday afternoon.
After much persuasion, Fei Hu finally convinced Zhang Jia. He then took a shower, packed a simple bag, found a street stall for a quick meal, and headed to the airport.
By around eight o'clock in the evening, Fei Hu safely landed in City A. As soon as he exited the airport, Bald Zhang's call came through urgently asking, "How is it, boss? Have you arrived? I'm so anxious!"
"Stop hurrying me; I'm already outside the airport. I'm taking a taxi over now; see you soon," Fei Hu said before hanging up. He raised his hand and flagged down a rental car that stopped right in front of him.
Around nine o'clock, Fei Hu appeared in the dance floor of New Joy World. He blended into the crowd, dancing while observing the dynamics of the dance floor. Soon enough, he noticed a problem: a large group of thugs with yellow hair were causing chaos on the dance floor—a long line of them numbering around thirty or forty people. Their presence elicited screams from the girls on the dance floor; if this continued, something bad would surely happen.
Fei Hu dared not linger any longer. He quickly made his way up to the second floor and found a secluded spot just as Bald Zhang approached him; it seemed this guy had been busy as well.
"I'm really sorry to have dragged you back from Hong Kong. You haven't had enough fun yet, right?" Bald Zhang said with a mischievous smile.
Fei Hu didn't respond but kept his eyes fixed on the dance floor below. He suddenly asked Bald Zhang, "Those blondes should be from the Dragon Tiger Gang. Have you seen their leader?"
"You're right, boss. Those guys are definitely from the Dragon Tiger Gang. Just before you entered the dance floor, that Little Four brought in a guy nicknamed Mouse into a private room on the first floor. But from my experience, they should have others with them," Bald Zhang said, discreetly pointing to a private room on the east side.
Little Four, that bastard, he's everywhere. It seems Ye Wu's influence is quite extensive. The moment these guys showed up, it was clear they were here to seize territory and take control of the venue. "Hmph! Bastard, this time I'm going to confront you openly. Let's see what you can do to me!" Fei Hu thought angrily.
At that moment, there was a commotion in the dance floor; it was obvious someone was causing trouble. With so many people around, if things got chaotic, it could be quite frightening. Suddenly, the crowd surged to the east side of the dance floor, and some who reacted slowly were knocked down, leading to screams and angry shouts. Fei Hu quickly realized it was those blondes causing the disturbance.
This was a profit-driven entertainment venue; everyone inside had paid for their tickets. They couldn't just stop having fun to watch a fight! If a brawl affected their income, Zhang Jia wouldn't approve either.
Fei Hu waved at Bald Zhang and quietly said, "Take Feng Jie, A-Lian, and Xiao Qi with you. Blend into the dance floor and discreetly deal with those troublemakers first. Be careful not to attract attention or disturb the other dancers; we can't let tonight's business be affected, or Miss Zhang will be unhappy."
Bald Zhang nodded and disappeared from sight. Fei Hu stood at a corner on the second floor, watching the changes on the first-floor dance floor. Those who were caught up in the revelry were completely oblivious to the silent confrontation taking place. Soon enough, those blondes seemed to snap out of their frenzy and abruptly stopped causing trouble; it appeared Bald Zhang and A-Lian had begun to exert their influence.
Fei Hu's eyes were focused on several private rooms on the first floor when suddenly one of the blondes darted out of the dance floor and entered a private room. Fei Hu knew he was going to report back to his boss; perhaps their people had suffered an unexpected setback earlier, which is why they had quieted down for now.
What should he do? If a fight broke out here, innocent people would surely get hurt. And with such luxurious decor, any damage would lead to significant losses. Zhang Jia had paid for their protection, not for destruction. Fei Hu felt extremely troubled and glanced anxiously at his watch; it was just past eleven o'clock. The most frenzied time in the ballroom would likely be around midnight—was Little Four planning to stir up trouble at twelve?
The explosive music combined with the DJ's interaction drove the young men and women in the venue nearly insane. Bald Zhang and A-Lian moved through the crowd, fighting fiercely without drawing much attention; everyone was too engrossed in their own enjoyment.
Suddenly, a piercing scream rang out: "Ah! Someone's fighting! They're killing people!" The voice sounded desperate and loud enough to almost drown out the DJ's music. Instantly, chaos erupted in the dance hall as those blondes seized the opportunity to start a riot. The music quickly stopped and bright lights turned on.
Two groups of people faced off against each other, while those who had nothing to do with them hurriedly stepped aside. The atmosphere was extremely tense; as soon as someone lost control, a major battle would break out.
At that moment, the crowd suddenly parted, and Little Four, accompanied by a rat-like figure, squeezed through. He laughed heartily and said, "I thought it was someone important; turns out it's just Bald Zhang! You've really become bold, even daring to confront Brother Tiger's men. Looks like I underestimated you."
Upon hearing this, Bald Zhang was naturally displeased, but for the sake of the bigger picture, he held back his anger and replied with a faint smile, "I wouldn't dare. We wouldn't attack Brother Tiger's men without reason. However, these people don't have 'Brother Tiger' written on their faces. Besides, this dance hall is a place for dancing, not for causing trouble. If you want to cause chaos, please take it outside; I, Bald Zhang, will not interfere."
"Haha! You have quite the audacity! We're here at New Joy World to do whatever we please; it's none of your business!" Little Four's tone hardened when he realized Bald Zhang wasn't buying his act.
Bald Zhang clenched his fists and his expression changed as he sternly said, "This place is under my management. If you want to act recklessly, I must intervene. You're Ye Wu's man; you should understand this principle! Besides, Little Four, you're just a small player in this game."
"Ridiculous! Just because you say you manage this place doesn't mean we have to listen to you! I'm telling you clearly today: unless Brother Tiger himself speaks up, you all better get lost early; otherwise, don't blame me for not recognizing you, Bald Zhang!" Little Four's words grew increasingly arrogant.
Fei Hu, who had initially wanted to observe from above a little longer, could no longer hold back. As he descended the stairs, he shouted loudly, "Who set these ridiculous rules? I want to see who gets kicked out of here!"
Fei Hu's voice shocked everyone downstairs; they all turned to look at him, including Little Four, whose expression changed. Fei Hu pushed through the crowd and stood in front of Little Four with a forced smile and said, "Why are you like a fly that shows up everywhere? Hurry up and take your people away! Otherwise, if something goes wrong, I think you know what the consequences will be."
Upon hearing this, Little Four's expression slightly changed as he sneered coldly, "Hmph! Don't overestimate yourself; you're just a little security guard who got kicked out! If you anger Brother Tiger, there won't be a place for you to die."
"Enough talk; let's step outside! There are cameras here; if something happens, no one can escape. If you want to go in there, then I can't help you; I'll just have to accompany you," Fei Hu said while glancing at both sides' strengths. The numbers were about equal; however, Little Four's group consisted entirely of young men in their twenties while Bald Zhang's side had both men and women, giving an impression of being less formidable.
Little Four paused slightly before smirking coldly and saying, "You won't shed tears until you see the coffin. Tonight I'll let you experience West Suburb Dump." With that said, he waved his hand and led dozens of his subordinates away in a grand procession. Fei Hu whispered a few words to Bald Zhang before leaving New Joy World with A-Lian and the others. The night outside was enchanting, but a bloody battle was about to begin; no one knew how it would end.
