After dealing with some messy matters, Fei Hu returned to his rental apartment in the city just as dawn was approaching. As he was about to go to sleep, there was a sudden knock on the door. Fei Hu was taken aback, wondering who it could be and how she knew he was back.
"Hey! Fei Hu, it's me! Alice!" A woman's melodious voice called from outside the door.
Fei Hu quickly opened the door, and Alice squeezed through. She was still wearing her stylish and sexy pajamas, and upon seeing her, Fei Hu became distracted and lost in thought. Alice, being a strong woman, immediately saw through Fei Hu's thoughts. She smiled and said, "Come to my room! It’s been a while since anyone stayed here; look at all this dust, it’s so dirty." With that, she pulled Fei Hu out the door.
In truth, even if Alice hadn't dragged him along, Fei Hu would have found a way to visit her anyway. This was just a convenient opportunity. Once inside Alice's room, Fei Hu eagerly picked her up and carried her toward the bed.
Alice gently struggled and said, "Don't be hasty; go take a shower first! Look how dirty you are."
"We'll wash up afterward," Fei Hu replied as he laid Alice down on the bed. They began kissing passionately, both of them quickly shedding their clothes as if in a competition. In no time at all, they were completely naked. The man aggressively pursued the woman beneath him while she moaned in ecstasy. The mattress occasionally creaked under their weight.
After releasing all his pent-up energy, Fei Hu finally fell into a deep sleep. Alice had originally planned to go to the beauty salon for work, but with Fei Hu's arrival, she decided to skip it and instead snuggled up next to him for some extra rest.
At Fifth People's Hospital in City A, a well-known trauma orthopedic hospital, several severely injured patients had been admitted the previous night. From the whispers of the nurses, it became clear that these injuries were likely due to fights.
Before 7 AM, Ye Wu arrived at the ward accompanied by Abiao. As soon as they entered, Abiao stood at the door like a sentry. The ward was relatively large and housed five patients; some had bandages wrapped around their heads while others had their arms covered in gauze, indicating serious injuries. Upon seeing Ye Wu enter, they all nodded slightly and softly called out, "Brother Tiger." Ye Wu waved his hand to signal them to lie down and not pay him any mind.
One patient by the window had his head wrapped in thick bandages with only two small eyes visible. Ye Wu sat beside him and smiled, asking, "How are you feeling, Little Four? Any better?"
"I'm fine, Brother Tiger; just a little scraped up with some bleeding," replied Little Four. "You’re so busy yet you came personally; I feel really bad about that." He had been stunned by the sudden chaos last night and when he finally reacted, it was too late—he got hit on the head but managed to play dead so no one bothered him afterward.
Ye Wu chuckled and said, "That's good to hear. Just make sure you don’t get your head knocked around too much; we have many important things waiting for you once you're better."
"Brother Tiger, Little Four here, I apologize for the trouble. Last night, I underestimated them and didn't expect they could bring three to four hundred people at once, while we only had about seventy or eighty. With such a ratio, how could we possibly defeat them? The leader is that little security guard, Fei Hu, and there’s also Bald Zhang, along with a few women who are quite skilled," Little Four exaggerated, trying to excuse himself.
Ye Wu frowned, somewhat skeptical as he said, "That can't be! Our Dragon Tiger Gang gathering three to four hundred people isn't a trivial matter. How could they have so many people with decent skills? If that's true, wouldn't our Dragon Tiger Gang be finished?"
"Yes, Brother Tiger, I'm not exaggerating at all. You can ask these injured brothers; they really had that many people. And this Fei Hu seems to be their boss—it's terrifying and unbelievable," Little Four said excitedly, even sitting up. In reality, his head injury wasn't severe, but he insisted on being hospitalized to give Ye Wu an explanation.
Ye Wu patted Little Four on the shoulder and whispered, "Lie down quickly; don't affect your wound's recovery. You say this Fei Hu is the leader of these people and has three to four hundred followers. Could it be that he’s acting under the old man's orders?"
Little Four slowly lay back down, unwillingly saying, "Brother Tiger, you don’t need to worry about this. Once I’m discharged from the hospital, I’ll gather more brothers and take over the protection rights of New Joy World. And this Fei Hu—I won’t let him go. Even if it costs me my life."
"Alright, stop overthinking this. Let's leave it at that for now. It might not be as simple as we think. A gang that can gather three to four hundred people—besides Dragon Tiger Gang in City A, there shouldn't be another one. This might be related to the old man," Ye Wu said, his facial muscles twitching slightly.
Upon hearing the mention of the old man, Little Four was so frightened that he stuck out his tongue. Although he followed Ye Wu for a living, the big brother of Dragon Tiger Gang was Ye Cheng. If Ye Cheng took a disliking to him, even with Ye Wu backing him up, it would be difficult for him to continue in Dragon Tiger.
In the villa, Yingzi was sharing the information she had gathered early in the morning with Ye Cheng. After hearing Yingzi's account, Ye Cheng stood up excitedly and asked her incredulously, "Is this information true? Fei Hu is already the leader of three to four hundred people? Is that possible? It sounds like a story."
"It is indeed true. This information comes directly from those who participated in the fight last night; it shouldn't be false. You know Fei Hu has many friends in the underworld. Gathering three to four hundred people isn't a major incident for him. We should believe this news; after all, he’s opposing Ye Wu, which could relieve some pressure on us—it might even be a good thing," Yingzi quietly analyzed for Ye Cheng.
Ye Cheng stood up and paced around the room before finally exhaling deeply and saying, "What worries me is that this kid and Xiaofei have gone this far. If he has established such a gang targeting us, then we’re in big trouble. You need to ask him; if he really has formed a new gang, I’ll have to visit him personally."
Yingzi smiled but remained silent. Based on her understanding of Fei Hu, he likely wouldn’t establish a new gang to deal with the Ye Family; if he were truly that kind of person, she would never associate with him again.
Just as Yingzi and Ye Cheng were discussing Fei Hu's potential new gang formation, Ye Xiaofei pushed open the door and walked in. She smiled gently and said to Ye Cheng and Yingzi, "I've completed my enrollment procedures. Starting tomorrow, I'll be living at school. I'll leave things at home to you, Yingzi. Once I finish my studies over the next year or so and adjust my mindset, I'll deal with that bastard Ye Wei."
"Don't think about anything else while you're in school. The Shengwei Group Company will still be there. We can discuss it again after you graduate," Ye Cheng said calmly.
This was something Yingzi hadn't expected. A while ago, when Ye Cheng heard that Ye Xiaofei was leaving Sheng Wei to go to school, he was furious. But today, he seemed so composed; it appeared he had come to terms with it.
Yingzi smiled and said, "Studying is a good thing, so just focus on your studies! There shouldn't be any major incidents at home right now. Besides, I'm here. If anything goes wrong, I can call you, and you can come back anytime since we're both in City A; it's quite convenient."
"That's true. You all continue chatting; I'm going to pack my things. Once I'm ready, Yingzi can drive me," Ye Xiaofei said as she opened the door and left.
Ye Cheng stood by the window with his hands behind his back and softly said, "It's good that she's leaving. It will allow Ye Wei to lower his guard and act freely. When Xiaofei comes back, it will be easier to deal with him. But right now, with just Xiaofei alone, it's really not enough to take him down. If Fei Hu could still stay at Sheng Wei, Xiaofei might have some leverage," Ye Cheng said as he turned his body around.
Yingzi thought for a moment and said, "Sister Xiaofei just needs to overcome her inner struggles. She needs some time to adjust. Some things can only be resolved when she understands them herself; no matter how well others advise her, she won't listen. It takes time for her to forget the unpleasantness and regain her happiness."
Ye Cheng stroked his beard and nodded slightly; he felt Yingzi was absolutely right.
Inside the glove factory, there was a joyful atmosphere as A-Lian was holding a meeting for all employees. Everyone knew that Qian was coming back, which meant their factory could not only resume operations but also start making a profit.
Once the crowd quieted down a bit, A-Lian smiled and said, "As you all know, we retrieved over a million in two installments from others. Each time we did this was extremely risky; one misstep could lead to being beaten or even imprisoned. If it were just me and Xiao Qi's abilities alone, we wouldn't have been able to get this money back. In fact, everyone knows that Fei Hu helped us recover this money. We should be grateful; let's think about how we can repay him."
"Sister Lian only mentioned part of it. Actually, when our factory was about to shut down, it was Fei Hu who connected us with another client, Sheng Wei, as well as the Western Wholesale Market stores. Tell me which of those connections isn't important? Really, without Fei Hu's help, our glove factory would have closed long ago. Every word she said made perfect sense.
With a buzz of conversation, everyone began discussing energetically, leaving A-Lian momentarily at a loss for words.
